I search around the hallway to see if there is a defensable elevated spot that I can perch on to fire my bow and be out of the threat range of a melee warrior. I drop my bag lightly on the ground, seeing little reason break our grace period of being hidden... every second counts in preparation.

Turning on her heel, Willow ran as fast and quietly as possible back down the stairs, grabbing Layla as she went, when at the bttom of the stairs, she looked for a place to hide whilst whispering to Layla "Now is not the time, nor the place to fight them, we are far outnumbered, let's hide for now and check upstairs as soon as we can".

"My plan... we need to single them out. if we can met or or two at a time, they should be easy to dispatch." I whisper back.

"Irene." I walk up to her, switching the sword to my left hand as I get closer, and put my right hand on her right shoulder. I kneel down beside her. "It's okay now. The man can't hurt us anymore." I then switch my attention to the faceless mage and remember to return to the common language this time. "And the man she's talking about isn't Mr. One-Man-Army back there. The one she's talking about is lying dead upstairs. You can go up and see if you want."

"Oh. So there are still enemies here, then?" I say in response to Nyx.

Willow & Layla: You find an alcove just big enough for the two of you to squeeze into.
Nyx: "Thank you," Irene says in Qorchi, nodding. She looks up at you and holds out her little paw: she is still holding your mother's pendant.
Apollo: The Qorchi conversation sounds like this to you: "Irene. Momen tsai dorin bilai. Bedin enguryn buselan konben otuluy gotondoi." "Qalun bonbin."

I take it from her. "Thank you for keeping this safe. This was my mother's before she and my father were killed. So it's very important to me." I give her a light squeeze before I put it away and answer Apollo. "Yes, it would appear so. Irene here said that her parents were killed by soldiers from the Red Army. They may be the ones who attacked this city. And I'm assuming that the man lying dead up there was from the Red Army as well."

"Does she know how to speak common language?" Mazurn said to Nyx as he walked over to the little girl. "Hi."

I turn to Mazurn. "Yeah. She knows how to speak it. It seems she prefers to speak Qorchi, though. At least I'm assuming..." I look to Irene for conformation.

Apollo & Mazurn: Nyx says this to the little anthro girl: "Qalun bonbin mongke jidan oyeke sima. Oyeke nitan tiran tokyor uralun tori bijin tiran buqa jalun yorlangiyn. Bora momen tsai beniz tighrigan keder tidjin."
Mazurn: "H-Hi..." the little anthro says.
Nyx: Irene nods to you: she does prefer Qorchi. "Qondoi, Qorchi tsai seran," she says. This means, "Yes, Qorchi is easier." However, most of the suffixes are dropped in Qorchi, leaving them to be assumed based on context. In actuality, the literal translation is, "Yes, Qorchi is easy," but the "er" suffix is implied from the context of the answer.

"Alright. Do you think we could speak in the common language for now? So these guys don't strain their brains trying to figure out what we're saying." I give her a playful wink.

I really didn't want to run... It wasn't like me to run... The worry was basically painted on my face. But I don't want to run... Well... Then I guess I'll be fighting. A smirk comes to my face as I run somewhat around to the soldier on my far right, hoping to catch him somehow in the side and go down the line, I knew it would most likely not work out that way, but it was worth a shot... I raise my blade as I approach him and begin to swing...

"Dont worry. I am not all that scary. If you need help, just call on me." Mazurn said as he held out his one hand so that she could shake it.

I growl to myself and attempt to throw fireballs from the palms of my talons at the Red Army mages before diving down to more street level, searching for someone...anyone!!

Hiroto sighed as he jumped off the roof and slammed his fist hard into one of the men's heads. He was using one of the spells he knew, Fist of Justice. Of course, using that, from high altitude, would pose a bit of a problem with recoil...
