Warakai returned his lizard to the medicine chest along with thousands of other weird but incredibly effective medicines. "Does it really matter?" He asked taking off his soaked shirt and looking for a dry one.

'What's he talking about?' Mike wondered, then he plopped down next to Leith, sitting a little closer than usual, and awaited what Lucien found.

Lucien pulled out with his good hand a small cylindrical container. He shook it, making a rattling sound signifying that there was something inside.

Mike tilted his head, squinting at what Lucien held in his hand. Why would he stay behind and risk being blown to smithereens for such a dinghy item? Mike had to know what was in it. The curiosity was scratching at him from the inside.

Leith hardly even noticed everyones facination with luciens item; her thoughts were elsewhere. She really needed to get he but she didn't want to leave her new and only elemental friends. Her heart and stomach twisted with the internal conflict.

Lucien read the anxiety on her face and nodded. "Leith, no ones holding you back. If theres something you need to do, go ahead. I don't think anyone her minds."

Warakai leaned over the railing "You need to head off somewhere Leith?" he asked not caring in the slightest about the item Lucien had recovered, soon he would put his rudder to this city and never return.

Mike glanced at Leith. He wouldnt blame her for not wanting to be here. She could have been killed or seriously hurt, and besides, who would hang out with a bunch of wierd guys in the middle of the night when she could be safe at home?
And when Warakai mentioned taking Leith somewhere, Mike's heart beat slightly faster. He wanted to be somewhere else. He wanted to leave his past behind so bad, it almost killed him.
But he knew that right now, Leith would come first.

Leith looked up, shoked that they all had read her so easily. Was her face really like an open book? She brushed her hair from her face with two fingers that protruded from Mike's large jaket and said, "Well, yeah, I need to at least check in with my aunt. She told me not to be out late and here it is four in the morning and I helpde in killing the very people my aunt must be wary of. I wasn't going to go untill I found a lul in the conversation."

"Thats funny...I don't recall seeing you with us. In fact, theres no proof that you ever met up with us until now." smiled Lucien. He stood up and stretched for a bit. "If you want, I'll escort you into the city. Its about time for me to return to my family as well."

Warakai smiled "I could take you back into the city, Mike has a deck to scrub in order to avoid being punished for his transgression" he said grinning broadly he wasn't sure if he was going to put him to the five years service that was usually the punishment of attempted theft or if he was going to fight him to regain his honor.

"Well he can come too, can't he?" Leith suddenly looked up at Warakai, personally astounded by how quickly ashe had responded to the idea that Mike couldn't also escort her to where she'd be that evening.

Lucien stepped behind a boulder muttered a few words and poured all his power into the shadows, revealing a black wooden door. "It looks like I'm not needed again." he smiled, muttering to himself. He opened the door warmly greeted his mother and entered closing the door behind him, slowly vanishing back into the darkness.
((This will be my last post for a week. Hopefully by the time I get back, there will be internet and my re-entrance will be dramatic bwahahaha lol))
