A blink as she was grabbed and hugged as well as mildly teased. "Yeah...thanks...I'd rather you not mention it now." She was still sensitve about it really. Never enjoyed her birthdays anyway...so much fuss. "Don't worry Lillia, you'll be there soon enough."
But a look back to James. "It's a remote data access and distribution unit. Does exactly what its name says." She snapped her fingers. "Ah, that's where I recall it, in my computer and electronics class. It's a hacker tool mostly...I know how to use and install one myself. Someone's been accessing your information..." And if she used it with Echo things like Jelena thought she had been...well then there was thier info link maybe. "Not to mention thier mostly illegal...well by Fleet use..don't know the rules on them on Earth."
Then she was quiet a moment. "Should we go get Erik before we go out for these drinks? I'm sure he'll pout...and nag at me about detox and what not..."

well. she wanted to get Erik. a little judging of time from the internal clock...yep, erik should be done installing the new equipment by now with the techs helping. hmm. he thought her birthday had been tom, get things setup today, and then just keep her entertained until tomorrow. This might work fine.
Not to mention the new alloy for Tempest cage should keep him in it. at least for a good while until it figured out some way through or past it.
"We can get eric if you'd like. and yes, that's what it is. however, the model number is still on it, so we can trace it to whomever directly bought it. That's how the information got leaked. and I think we all have an idea who purchased it."

Lillia just stood there for a moment adn then she shook her head. "A hacking tool? In my laptop? But who would put it there?" She thought for a moment and then she snapped her fingers. "DJ. That low down lying scum bucket. It's not enough that he got me into bed, no he had to put a device in my laptop to steal my files. Creep."
A shake of her head, that lowlife. What in the world had she ever seen in him? What in the world, indeed. "Alright then, shall we get Erik and continue on with our day?" A smile to both of them.

"Unless DJ has a degree in a tech class, then he really wouldn't know how I don't think. He take one of those?" They were after all talking soem pretty high tech equipment. And getting into the class was hard enough. But a little shrug.
And she pulled her OODDS from her pocket, reactivating them and slipping them on, taking to her wrist mounted link up to the device and dialing into her own computer in the office her Erik and Lillia practically shared. "Erik, board's over and we're going to get a drink for the...well not the victory...but the partial win. Meet us at Radiance, main living district."
"Right O Trevy. See, told you you were going to be fine." And he noded at the computer as the tell tale sign of her disconnecting. Well...things were pretty much installed. James was quick about his work and there was nothing liek strikign fear into the hearts of his own underlings to get thigns installed.

Then a grin. well...she had outside access to the lab computer, he forgotten that. No matter...she'd just get a shock later, that's all.
"So where is this bar or club or whatever your plannign to take us to, Lillia?"
wonder if it was teh same one that most of Meta enjoyed. that woudl mean Mr. Sunshine...and a double dose of it when he met with Miss Sunshine.

"I think he had, he seemed pretty technology savvy, certainly knew more than I did." She shook her head and then stopped in her tracks and stared at James.
"My mother? You think my mother put something in my computer?" She threw back her head and laughed. "No, it was DJ. I know it was. And I have his number on Earth and his email and I'll certainly be getting in touch wiht him. I should press charges. Isn't tehre something about messing with personal property or something like that?"
And a look back at the other two. "So Erik's joining us then, hmm? Fantastic. He's a party animal by his own testimony." A giggle at that.

Oh boy she wasn't going to touch that one. Her current dating interest was accusing her assistant's mother...and frankly Jelena didn't know the woman well enough to make a judgement call...though she wouldn't put it beyond her...people were capable of some crazy things. "Regardless...let's talk about it later. We're supposed to be having some fun, not talking about drab stuff."
And a roll of her eyes. "Party animal? You mean goofy embrassing drunk." So a slgiht shrug. "I'm not savvy on bar hopping at all...no one ask me to pick a place."

James looked at Lillia.
"I know more than you do in this case. and not all of what I know is legally gotten. I still wager my money on your mother."
then in about half the tiem to take it apart, her computer was put back together, minus the peice that was doing the hacking nad stealing of information.
"I only know one bar, that's the one us cyborgs hang out at. Might not be a place you'd enjoy, as most of the rest of the groups in there are techs and staff from Meta."

"I know the haunts and bars back on Earth, not here on Fleet. That would be your department, as in you guys. But I have heard that there's a good one on Radiance."
Lillia blinked one more time at James. HEr mother? God no, her mother wouldn't waste th emoney to put something like tha tin her computer. BEsides when would she have had a chance to stick it in there? While Lillia was home on Earth? Yeah right. It was far more believable that it was DJ. It had to be DJ.
"Erik probably knows a place and if not, well we can go to yours James. After all we're just looking to get a drink not get laid."

Erik pushed off teh wall, joining them in thier walking. "My preferred choice is the one James fancies. Hear lots of good stories. You know, the Meta team and participants are quite the cut ups sometimes. You just have to know how to handle them. Besides, there's this nice table in the back corner." He would of said happy birthdaty...but he knew she'd rather not hear it from him.
"Well hello to you too Erik." A little nod. "Fine then, lead the way Commander Moira." A bar was a bar to her and like Erik she enjoyed the Meta crew really...they really were some of the nicest people on Fleet, if not a little uptight.
A laugh at Lillia and one of those goofy looks to her. "Or is he Lillia? Or is he?"

Ignoring Erik's little wisecrack there, adn led them to teh bar he'd ben in the previous evening, of course filled with Meta techs...Jessica was going over things with her crew and discussing the wonders of bioware and preaching on the future where everyone will have bioware from birth, nano technology curing all disease and correctign birth defects before they occur.
James gave them a smirk before headin to the table int eh back that Erik liked to frequent apparently, looking aroudn for sunshine. didn't see him, but then again in this crowd metal wings wasn't a stand out. many here had bioware parts, adn teh liquor, usually, was adjusted to compesate for that.

Lillia giggled, she couldn't help it, Erik was funny. "Why don't you ask him that..."
But another giggle and she headed into the bar after James plopping down into a seat across to the side so Jelly could choose wehre seh was going to sit. She had no idea what she was going to order, but righ tnow she was just glad she was out and about instead of sitting in her office thinking too hard.
She palmed her bun for a moment pulling out the clip that was holding it in place and letting her shoulder length hair fall shaking her head and running her fingers through it. "Hey, we're letting loose right?" A glance around at some of the other sin teh bar, quite the cute crowd.

Jelena rolled her eyes at them both. Really those two and thier humor...that was for sure. But she merely followed and plopped down next to James as Erik plopped across from her next to Lillia.
A nod at Lilia. "Indeed we are." That said her own hair came down as OODDS got pushed up and she unbuttoned her jacket. Of course the white blouse underneath was anything other than smooth. All nice adn wrinkled. yes she had just grabbed it out of her closet this moring.
Oh he was in there alright, sitting in his usually place up at the bar, on the end and at least two seats away from everyone else. He wasn't a very social creature when it came to the rowdy bar scene...

James took his hat off. that was as 'loose' as he got, before noting a certain winged person at the bar. hmm. James picked up one of the walnut peices on the table, there was usually a little basket of them, and klunked sunshine in the head with it.
Then a glance at Jelena and Lillia.
"So. I'm having a bahama mama. what's everyone else having?"

Lillia's jacket came off too and the first button of her blouse came unbuttoned. She would have taken her shoes off too but didn't trust Catalyst to not go psycho with the power. Then she'd be floatin gin th eabyss in a skirt adn that was so not happening.
A glance over at Rennell and Lillia waved. "Hi Rennell. Why don't you come join us?" She chewed on her lip and thought about it for a moment relaxing back in he rchair and then said, "I'll have a Moonbeam Surprise."
