After only a few blocks, Danny finally pulled up in front of a rather ordinary apartment complex. He turned the car off and pocketed the key in one of the upper pockets of his jacket. "Well, here we are ladies." he said, not getting off the bike until his passengers did. He didn't want it to rock on them or anything.

All JLA communicators suddenly recieved this message--"This is Zatanna Zatara to all JLA core and reserve members; keep an eye out for a little girl, about five years old, red hair, red eyes, Caucasian, likely wearing a red and white dress. Answers to Rosie. ... Could be multiple versions of subject. If found, please bring back to watchtower. Repeat, bring to watchtower. And yes, Flash, I'm aware that this sounds like a lost kitten poster. Shut up."

{Enter Terry (Batman) from Gotham General}
Terry jumped to the next roof easily, landed in a catlike crouch, and then was off again. Honestly, he was sort of... enjoying this. As much as he normally disliked team ups, this was fun. She kept up with him easily; they were almost perfectly in-synch... No villains, no city in peril, just the night and the running and the jumping.

Alex's smile was growing the farther along they went, clearly enjoying herself. And...it was nice to be doing this with someone about her age. No one in their twenties, no one that were young enough that she'd be the older one.
"So." she called out. "You get to do this very much with that little personal jet of yours?"

He shot her a rather mischievous smile. "Are you kidding? I make a point of doing this," he said, performing a graceful front handspring to get to yet another roof. Of course, normally he was in costume... Oh, what the hell. It wasn't like he had another way to get back to Wayne Manor. They were coming up on one of the tunnels he could access, anyway.

Alex practically beamed, and began flipping and bouncing her way onto the rooftops after him. Oh, yes. This she needed. She was half tempted to try and out flip him, being a little competitive with things like this, but she knew better. Unless he had healing abilities, she wasn't sure how he was doing all the running and jumping he was doing right now.

She had a point. It was all pretty jarring, and his distorted balance wasn't helping, but being able to do this just for the sake of doing it was WORTH IT. So worth it.
Abruptly, he jumped off the wrong edge of the building, swung around the side of a streetlight--just like firemen slid down firepoles-- and landed in a fluid crouch before slipping into the adjoining alley. Walking calmly up to a wall, he opened up a hidden key pad and started punching in numbers. Once again, he just had to hope that Wayne didn't change the password often.

Alex followed after him, but was a little showier when she reached the streetlight since they were apparently done. She latched onto it and completely swung around it until she was halfway down, where she brought her feet up between her and kicked off the poll. Flipping one last time in the air, she landed in a crouch on the ground. Once she stood, she straightened herself out and glanced over to check on where Batman was. Noting that he hadn't gone far yet, she let out a satisfied sigh and straightened out her hair and jacket as she walked up towards him.

He was still typing in the code. Without looking around at her, he asked, "Proud of yourself?" his tone dry. Why Wayne felt the need to make these things so long was completely beyond him; if someone knew where the door was, what was stopping them from just blowing down the 'wall'?

"In the very likely event that it's the last time I'll get to do something like that just for fun, yep." she replied with a small smile still curved around the corners of her mouth.

He smirked, a very small, brief expression, and finished typing in the code. "Good." At that, the whole wall swished open. Gesturing for her to enter, he said, "After you."

Alex gave him a small smile, then passed him to enter through the wall. What had she been doing before all this? She'd been looking for a different city, hadn't she? Couldn't really remember now why, but it really didn't matter now, did it? Not for as long as she'd been gone from...whatever it was.

Terry stepped in after her, and the door swished shut behind them. After a moment, dim, red lighting kicked in, and he started walking. "Alex... Thank you. For stepping in." He shook his head slightly. He'd really thought that... I mean, I was hallucinating. He shot her a look. "That said, next time, either scope things out a little first, or leave and come back with help. If Zatanna hadn't shown up, we both probably would have been killed."

Alex followed beside him down the red-lit tunnel. "You're welcome." she replied, then paused a moment. "With all the screaming I heard, and what I seen when I snuck in, I didn't think there was any time to waste on getting help." she continued. "I've seen what can happen to people who are helpless against someone with that much power...I'd feel worse with myself if I came back and they were dead rather than jumping in then and there."

He looked at her, his expression serious. "One dead person is better than two," he pointed out flatly. Plus, and he wasn't going to say this out loud, he didn't think that Gossamer would have killed him quickly. That thought alone was enough to make him suppress a small shudder. "You're used to working with a team, aren't you?" he asked after another moment.
