Zelyhon Joasis Suyo Joasis Zelyhon Suyo Heroes Season 3... disappointing. crying Really? I thought it set up some interesting things that it could make good on in time. Was it the greatest episode ever, no, but I liked it pretty well. It was the first episode I've seen completely and now... I need to see the rest of the series! D:You really liked it? I don't know... I don't know, it started strong with the twist for Nathan getting shot, but seriously. I think it got too wild too quick. It seems like a total 180 from the dialog and plot driven series we are used to. And the change wasn't done gracefully, either.Maybe one of my problems was that it was sort of overloaded. Too much happened in too short of a time, and nothing was well explained. And most of it just seems really far fetched, even taking into account this is a fictional show about people with superpowers. See, this was an entirely new experience for me and I think all those twists and turns were the point. To get people like me, people that've never seen the show interested. By Job, it worked! Now I want to see the rest of it! gonk Then you're lucky the first two seasons are easy to find on DVD. Well worth buying, both of them. We'll be getting that as soon as we get a few more urgent purchases out of our system... and possibly after October's calculated assault on our finances. Funimation will be walking away with insane amounts of our filthy lucre.

LunaInverse I still need to see season 2 of Heroes... xd I'll probably be buying the box set eventually. After everything I've heard about season two, I'm not sure I want to see it. After such an astounding first season, it just sounds like such a let down.

One of my friends who I don't talk to much decided to surprise me with a birthday gift. A Gurren-Lagann action figure, with a drill that has other uses, but I love for the fact that you can tie a string through it and wear it xd heart

It was definitely more enjoyable then, but as I love overemotional romance BS in almost any form, it's remained one of my favorites xd
Then again, you're talking to a girl who still takes out the highschool romance books from the library that are meant for fifteen-year olds.

So, an interesting situation has arisen at work.
Apparently on Friday I have to go and vote at my agency's union offices whether or not we go on strike. eek
The back story...
About 3 years ago, the majority of the qualified employees (the bargaining unit) voted in a union. And apparently after some time, the majority of the bargaining unit decided to vote out the union (I've never found out why). So the YWCA sought court action against the union, trying to force them out. It didn't work. The various courts and appeals all ruled in favor of the union. When I was hired the agency was waiting for the judges decision on their final appeal.
Now, the union has been negotiating our new contract for the past few months, and one of the major things they want for the bargaining unit are raises. And apparently the YWCA is insisting that there's not enough money to give us raises, even though when the union audited the finances of the YWCA, found that the upper administrators all got substantial raises the past few years, while the rest of us had to watch the prices of everything go up, but we're still making the same amount of money.
So...there is a possibility that we will go on strike. Should be an interesting experience if that happens.

I'd think a strike might be interesting, but could be beyond inconvenient if it doesn't wrap up in a reasonable amount of time.

So, AG, anyone here aside from me go over and check out the monthly Top Ten lists that they and Screwattack put out? I started doing this a few months ago and they've kept me entertained. The last two have been for the top 20 genesis games (20-11 and 10-1 respectively). At the end of the last one, they mentioned what the next month's list is going to be, the Top Ten video game songs, limit one per franchise. They also invited nominations (though, hopefully this isn't just by fan vote...) on their site, and I've been lurking there since then, following the thread and picking out good songs for future listening/putting on iPod. I was curious, though, as to what you all here who play games might put on the list. It's basically open to everything, but they're only going to put one game per franchise on their final list. So, what are all of your favorite songs from video games? I can't get to my original posting on their site (I guess if it is broke, it isn't necessarily Gaia...), but my list was: Tetris A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whBg7IF5JUg&feature=relatedAria di Mezzo Carattere (FF VI Opera theme): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knI4nYlLt0YStill Alive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RthZgszykLsKatamari on the Rocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwyfeksaeG8Frog's theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caRKvQAyU7MGreen Hill Zone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHL4vs566YgAnd a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.

I love Fred's artwork (yes, I'm shameless), but Largo actually kept it light enough. Fred is like every anime stereotype personnified, and it shows.
