After a short while, the car pulled to a stop along side a large building. Edel took a glance out the window to get a better look at it. Didn't want to step out of the car if the place wasn't to her liking. She smiled though. The place looked like it could give the Ritz a run for its money. Perfect. Without bothering to see how much she actually owed the driver for the ride, she slipped another Benjamin Franklin out of her top and handed it to the driver. "Thank you for the quiet ride." she said as she stepped out of the car. She waited there a moment for the car to pull away and straightened out her dress. She felt a little dirty from sitting in the cab, but she should be able to have a limo take her to get some fresh clothes later. Get herself checked in first, then see where the night takes her. After straightening herself out, she smiled and gaily made her way inside. She walked up to the front desk and stopped in front of the concierge.
"Can I help you, madam?" the man asked.
"Yes, I'd like to stay in the Presidential suite." Edel replied.
The concierge frowned a bit at that. "I'm sorry madam, but that room has sustained some recent damage."
"Oh?"
"Yep. Someone knocked the door clean off the frame." a man who was waiting by the desk said.
"Rather odd. People who take such expensive rooms aren't usually so...accident prone."
"I doubt it was an accident. I didn't see what happened, but I was down here to see who took the room. Some dark haired fellow with a woman in a blue costume with a spider on it."
Edel's facial expression didn't change, but her eyes suddenly sharpened.
"He brought a costume here. Really not surprised that the room got a little torn up."
"Can you, um, describe what they looked like with a little more detail?" she asked calmly, trying not to sound incredibly interested in finding anything out.
The man shrugged a bit. "The man I didn't pay much attention to. The girl though, had a blue costume with black on her boots, gloves, and mask. The edges of the black had the shape of a spider crawling out of them. The lenses of the mask were blue. Costume had some...torn areas. Lot of them." he replied, then tried to think about what the man looked like. He had been paying a lot more attention to the woman than he had the man. "The man wore a bit of an expensive looking outfit. Strong looking. Dark hair and eyes." he started, then moved his hand up to point towards his own beard.
Edel cut him off before he could say anything further. "I'll take the room."
Both men looked at her with a bit of surprise. "Madam, the room doesn't have a working door yet." the concierge said.
"If a broken door is all that is wrong with the room, then I have no problem with that. I don't need the room just yet, so you can finish having it fixed while I'm gone. I can pay extra for a damaged room if it will really be a problem." she replied, sounding as if she were getting annoyed with her decision being questioned.
The concierge looked at her a moment, then shook his head. "Erm, no, madam. That should not be a problem. The door won't be in working order until tomorrow though. I must warn you, the room hasn't been thoroughly cleaned yet because we hadn't planned on letting anyone stay in the room just yet."
"That's perfectly fine by me." Edel replied. Actually, it was better for her if they hadn't disturbed anything yet.
The concierge picked up a card, placed it into a machine, and after a couple of seconds, took the card out again. He then handed the card to Edel. "Here is your key, madam. It's on the top floor, the only room there. Plus...well, the broken door."
"Thank you." Edel said as she took the key. With that, she turned and headed towards the elevator. She walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the very top floor. Floor 36. Once the doors of the elevator closed, she sighed deeply and let her expression fade into one she really felt at the moment. Partly curious, mostly annoyed. She recognized the description of the costume woman that had been described. Knowing who that was, and given the brief description of the man, she almost knew who the man was that she was with. Sapphire Spider....and Blackstone. It had to be. Oh she was annoyed now. But...she shouldn't immediately jump to conclusions based on such a brief description. Using psychometry within the hopefully undisturbed room should give her much truer information. She'd just have to keep her cool until she got all of the right information. Then she could get upset if she wanted.

After a few moments, the elevator finally reached the top floor. Edel stepped out of the elevator once the door slid open and stepped out into the hallway. Sure enough, the room was impossible to miss. The door was completely missing at this point, and there was an 'off limits' sign hanging across the frame. Easily ducking under the sign, she walked in through the broken doorway and stopped a few feet away from the entrance to look around the room. It looked fairly untouched. A clean room with the exception of the door and the bit of unmade bed that she could see from her position. Anything that had been left in the room had probably been taken away by now. She could ask about that later if she really wanted. Right now though, it was time for a little psychometry and psychic vision.
She stood there a moment longer, a rather focused expression on her face. Very slowly, she began walking towards the couch. She paused there a moment, her expression falling a bit. From what she could see, it was definitely the spider. And...the man looked far too much like Richard to be mistaken for anyone else. She didn't need to use full psychometry now that she was sure of who they were. She'd just get the gist of things. Time alteration going on. There had to be. Unless of course, these were like alternates of the same people. There wouldn't be this much friendliness between these two if they were from her time and place. Heck, neither of them would be acting the way the appeared right now. She then made her way over to the table at about the same pace. She paused there a moment, letting her fingers rest on the corner of the table, then glanced over towards the bathroom for a moment. Her eyes soon trailed over to a small spot on the floor that was in view of the bathroom doorway. After another moment's pause, she slowly made her way towards the bathroom doorway. She paused there again, her expression falling just a bit more, then made her way over towards the couch. She paused there a moment, then let her fingers sit on the armrest. She stood there a moment, staring at the couch, her expression slowly falling even more. Then her expression fell completely and she looked almost as disgusted as she had felt in the cab. She jerked her hand away from the couch and muttered something under her breath. She paused a moment, then glanced into the bedroom and at the still unmade sheets.
Visibly livid, she made her way towards the bathroom to wash up a bit. Get her mind on something else now. She was NOT expecting to find out something like that. She suddenly stopped once her hand touched the doorknob, and her eyes widened. After a moment, she hissed something under her breath and jerked her hand away. What the ****?! The woman was pregnant?! ....how did...
You know what...she didn't want to know. She just didn't want to know. She'd seen enough. Spinning on her heels, she stormed towards one of the chairs in front of the TV. She avoided the couch all together, not wanting to touch it again until it had been THOROUGHLY cleaned. That went for the bed as well. Still muttering something incoherent under her breath, she less than gracefully plopped herself into the seat. The TV instantly kicked on the moment she sat down. She sat there and glared at the TV as it began flipping through the channels seemingly by itself. He clicked and flicked her fingernails together, a habit she had for when she was irritable and ready to tell someone off. OH she was mad now. She wanted to kill him. She really did. But she had absolutely no right to, and she knew that. Time alteration. Had to be time alteration. That's the only thought she could use to try and calm herself down. But the girl's stomach...they hadn't been here that long, had they? No...no. Her powers only went back so far, so it was recent. Really recent. She'd find out what was going on after she had a nice conversation with... Then a commercial came on for the Iceberg Lounge. Edel stopped her silent tantrum just long enough to pay attention to the commercial. She stared at the TV for a few moments, even after the commercial was over. Well....suppose she could spend the evening elsewhere. Try and calm herself down now that she'd gotten herself worked up. Perhaps spend the evening with someone else for a bit of instant and slightly vindictive gratification. Come back in the morning after the room had been fixed up for her. And cleaned. She'd have to stress that before she left. Sighing, she stood and straightened herself out. She then moved to pick up the phone, but paused a moment and glanced back at the couch. She held her hand out a moment, and a rather large sapphire that had fallen under the couch floated out and into her hand. She stared at it a moment, then picked up the phone with her other hand and called the desk downstairs. She asked that a limo be waiting for her outside, and that the room be fixed up and cleaned as thoroughly as it possibly could be. Everything. Every piece of furniture. As she spoke, she kept her eyes on the sapphire that she had held up in the light in front of her.

The black cat stopped rubbing up against Batgirl a moment and looked up at her with an annoyed frown. Completely unsatisfied with getting zero attention from her, he sauntered off towards a ventilation shaft to make his smokey little exit.

[Enter from the Museum]
The Ghost had parted from his delightful encounter with Barbara, "Definately a woman worth knowing... Ah... Now back to work."
Russell made his way to an abandoned electrical plant to see if it would suffice as his new lair.

Russell examined the abandoned power plant to make sure that it suited his needs. Satisfied, he made arrangments to purchase the location via a couple of dummy corperations. Once the plant was in his hands, Russell could further his aims of making himself a very rich man...

Russell acquired the power plant with little fuss. A man named Daggett tried to take over the bid; however, Russell 'leaked' Daggett's blackmail attempt to the Feds to keep Daggett busy and to clear the sale to a shell corporation called "Setec Astronomy."
The Ghost enter his new property, and with a thought, he started to bring the power plant to life. Russell extrended his hands to the now operational power grid, "Now, let's see what I can really do!"

Traffic lights had gone nuts. All of them. Phone lines were being crossed or cut off in mid-conversation, lights would flicker or go out completely, appliances would start running by themselves if they were plugged in, computers were suddenly being spammed with cartoon videos, and the tv channels were all set to Comedy Central. All throughout the city.

Arcs of electricity flowed between the grid and the Ghost's hands, "I'm wired. I can feel everything! All the cities, the system, the network is coursing through my viens -- at my control! I can see and feel everything!! I am everything!!!"

After a few minutes, the Ghost broke his contact to the grid -- breathing heavily, "It worked. Hahahaha! It worked!!! Now, nothing can stand in my way!"
Now that, Russell knew his plan was feasable, he needed to make some final preparations to extract the desired funds -- to set up wire transfers. What a novel idea, Russell thought.
Then, Russell thought about Barbara Gordon. She would be very vulnerable during this.
"I'll need to see if I can keep her out of this, somehow -- without exposing my plan. Hmmmm...."

Scarlet WitchWanda sat by the bed of her leader. She had got some clothes to fit in a little better. She had brought clothes for Magneto. She sat by his bed most night and day. She tried to think of someone that could help. It was on the second day the doctor came in and asked for a blood sample to see if she was compatable for a blood transfusion or something. It was mostly a blur and she was tenative. She didn't know what to do. She had said she was his daughter. She quickly snapped into full form. "My...my mother...he might not be my father...by blood..." she mummbled out as she started to cry. They came back a few hours later to take a sample. It was hours after they checked it that she found herself staring at him. He was after all her father. She stared at him. She could barely even see him. She was so confused and amazed and just otterly lost in her own confusion. Did he know? Is that why he was there for her? Is that why he kept her so close? She rolled her fingers on his table as she was lost in her what ifs. She wanted so badly for him to get up. For him to wake up and tell her what he knew about her and them.

Peyton Riley
Ventriliquist IIPeyton smiled "Put the gun down doll." Scarface said as she sat in the back. "So what you girls doing?" She listed to Harley's responce. "Well I am looking for a way to get back at my husband. He has a little trip he needs to really follow my dad after perhaps after I give him a kiss goodnight the same place he gave me one. She smiled at him again. "So maybe us girls should stick together...well with scarface." She smiled at him then the girls. "Yeah, we can all help each other make things...right." Harley blurted out quickly. "We are taking on the world of injustice with vengence." Harley couldn't stop herself she was excited and trusting. That is why she was who she was. Harley jumped at the gun again as the girl finished. "Well sounds like just what we were looking to help with." Then she finally was silenced by a stern look from Ivy. "Sorry red" she mummbled and then looked back at the girl in the back. Ivy waved her hand with the gun down then almost jumped out of her skin as Harley just layed it out. She gave her a stern look. "Maybe we should...we can talk it over at dinner. You hungry?" She tried to play nice but she didn't trust the girl and the doll yet and she might never trust them.

[enter Dr. Kirk Langstrom from DC Universe]
Dr. Langstrom had been behaving very strangely lately. He hadn't been eating as often. He slept less. He worked at home all the time, on only God knew what, for what anyone knew, including his wife. He seemed to stare off into space all the time, responding to nothing. The strangest thing of all, though, was that he was forever in a tuxedo, with a matching top hat.

Tetch thought over his plan in his head, and decided that it was good, and further decided that he wanted a bit of tea to toast it. He headed back to his hideaway.

ENTER from Iceberg Lounge
Danny drove sped down the streets of Gotham on his custom built bike, his two friends for the night safely behind him. The apartment he had told them about that was located within the city wasn't that far away at all now. But...it had been a while since he'd been with good company. Or out for a ride in general for that matter. He might as well take the long way around and enjoy himself for a while. To be honest, he had no idea what the place was like he was taking the girls to. He just knew that it wasn't permeated with an aura of sin and filth like some of the other places around he had sensed. He didn't want anything happening to these two girls in the event that he wanted some company again one night. He knew when he got back home, he'd have quite a bit on his plate. Considering he was now sharing it with a LOT more people than he was used to.

Starfire was enjoying the wind whipping past her. Take in the sight of the city blurring past her -- trying to memorize the new city skyline.
Star looked down at Raven who was hugging on to her. The Tamarian smiled then spoke into Raven's ear on account of the wind, "Are you having fun, Raven? ...Oh, quick thought, any luck getting a hold of BB?"
