After dinner, I get up and talk a walk down to the beach.

I head to my room with my book and my chat tome. I then begin to do that thing people did for entertainment before video games. I decide to pester people at the same time via my chat tome:

It is here that I realize that Xiao and Sand-Claw could take this in albeit different, but mischievious ways...

Nyx:
The beach is actually quite beautiful in the sunset...

Sand-Claw:
Your pestering earns you no less than two eye-rolls (from Sazey and Vela) and one flirtatious slap on the butt (from Xiao, but don't tell Layla!).

Layla:
You receive a couple flirtatious responses from Xiao, but nothing too overt.

Willow:
You find dinner waiting. It's quite good! And healthy, too!

Everyone:
The night passes peacefully. Layla and Xiao take a stroll along the beach and end up sleeping in the grass inside of the protective walls. Irene sleeps peacefully in Nyx's arms, as Nyx fails to keep her boyfriend from invading her dreams (Irene actually did wake up once to ask Nyx why she was shivering; Nyx just said that she missed someone important). Sand-Claw has no issues sleeping. Apollo sleeps well enough. Leina and Mazurn don't get very good sleep at all. Willow sleeps with her scythe within arm's reach, as always.



Everyone:
Layla and Xiao wake up in the grass, naked, and quite in need of a shower for multiple reasons, the most obvious being grass and dirt all over their bodies. Irene wakes up before Nyx and tries to get out of bed without waking up Nyx, but isn't so sneaky. Sand-Claw wakes up to find that her scales need some cleaning...but her muscles feel great, and she can't help but want to stretch her wings! Apollo wakes up looking much like Frankenstein's monster. Leina and Mazurn opt to remain in bed a while longer and catch up to the team later. Willow wakes up without a sound.
Leina and Mazurn are going to remain at the guild hall for a while because of their players' unavailability. Once the players return, they will rejoin the story. This "put away" action is being done instead of removing the character entirely due to the fact that both players have expressed an intent to return, but cannot for a time. Depending on how long they are gone in in-game time, they may be excused as just tired, or sick. Thanks for understanding.

I wake up slowly, looking over Xiao. I stroek her hair gently and lean into her ear. "Morning!" I whisper into her ear warmly.

I decide to both stretch my wings, and clean my scale at the same time! I try to find a cloud to fly though!

Willow:
The scythe still does not respond. But it IS a lot more reflective now!

Layla:
"Mmm...Good morning," Xiao replies with a purr.
She snuggles up to you, not yet opening her eyes.

Apollo:
After a few minutes, the sun gets to be too much for you to sleep through.

Sand-Claw:
Clouds are easy enough to find! After just a couple minutes, you find one that has MORE than enough moisture to clean you up. Your wings feel amazing now!

Nyx:
Irene smiles when you ruffle her hair, and follows you to the showers. When you reach the main hall, you find Willow cleaning her scythe and talking to it as though it would respond...but the showers are empty!

I stroke Xiao's hair lovingly. "So, did you have a good night?" I whisper, not trying to make too much noise. Xiao looked like she wanted to savor the moment, and quite honestly, I felt myself compelled to do the same.

"I'm still sad over my dream last night. I miss him. But the more time passes, then more I'm afraid I'll never see him again." I can only hope my voice didn't crack as I choke down a sob and fight back the tears trying to come to the surface. I hastily turn on the shower to hide any tears that may fall.
