Alex walked down the street of the large city, then stopped and stared at the area around her. Nothing....looked....familiar. At all. She was lost. She had no idea how to get back to the old building everyone had been at...how to get back to that other city.

She growled a few choice words, tossing her head back and covering her face with her hands. Frustrated, she checked her pockets to see how much of Sapphire's money she still had on her. Quite a bit. Alright. Fine. She was absolutely TIRED of walking. This was a city, right? Then it should have a taxi somewhere.

She walked to a spot where she though she'd be able to catch one, if there were any, and waited. After a few moment's she finally spotted a yellow car heading towards her. She grinned and tried to flag it down. Her grin grew when the car stopped in front of her and she climbed inside.
"Take me to whatever city is next to this one." she said as she leaned back in the seat. Finally. Give her legs a rest.

"The next city?" the man in front asked, surprisingly without much of an accent at all.

"Whatever one's closest. Just get me out of here." Alex replied.

With that, the car dove off down the street.




EXIT to WAREHOUSES IN SAN FRANSISCO

Star sighed. She was trying desperately not to cry, although tears threated to fall.

"Yup, but we are supposed to get jobs." Beast boy eyes widened. "I don't want a job, not after last time." Beast boy said remebering his last job.

Edel continued down the street, then paused a moment when she spotted some...quite different looking people standing across the street from her.
Either heroes, or villians. Had to be. She'd seen too many human looking people she'd passed by for them to be the everyday around here.
Well...she could stop and ask them just where she was. But...she usually didn't conversate with costumed types. Unless she had a reason to.

When Star arrives at the Iceberg Lounge, she confidently walks in and addresses the first employee she sees, "Hello, My name is Kori Ander, and I'm here to apply for a position."

Peyton slowly put her gun back in her purse and closed it slowly. She smiled as she jumped into the back of the convertable and slid scarface on to her lap. Peyton looked at the girls. "What we doing? Me and scarface are thinking about getting some food." Then scarface looked up at them and added "No italian..." He said with a chuckle before looking back up at sugar.



Ivy watched her with trained eyes watching her every move and wanted to be able to say get out of my car, but something had happened to her and maybe in this new world where she and Smiles took on the wrongs Peyton as she was called by the blond in the passenger seat was just another woman that needed help. She sure did have the walk of someone and talking to and with a doll wasn't making her seem more sane.
Harley had slowly lowered the gun but kept it tight in her hand she wasn't gonig to let go till she knew she and Red were safe. She had a billion things running thorugh her head. She was trying to think of anything she knew about Peyton. She couldn't remember much. But she was trying to think of anything she knew anything she could use. Anything that could help. She wouldn't let her friend down. She wanted to trust them but something had made her hesitate. Something had made her stop. Maybe that was the one present she did get from Joker. A reason to hesitate on trust.

The lanky black cat grimaced slightly, realizing that the girl either hadn't noticed him, or he was being ignored, and rubbed against Batgirl's legs harder.



Having gotten bored, and the kid growing a bit restless, Jason decided to take Rosie out and get something to eat. Just something for her to do and get her out of the building for a bit. She seemed to have some money left over, and there was a toy store not very far from his building. He had to practically beg her to leave her new raggedy looking doll here while they went out. It would be obvious that the doll didn't belong to the toy store, but he still didn't like the idea of her taking it in with her.




Edel had watched the two for a while, but grew bored after the woman flew off. She sighed gently to herself and continued walking towards some place where she'd be able to get a ride to somewhere. She HATED the thought of getting a common taxi...absolutely disgusting. But...stiletto heels weren't exactly the thing to be touring a city in. Her feet were starting to hurt her. She needed a ride to somewhere.

She found a street where the traffic seemed to be flowing nicely, then stood at the edge of the sidewalk with her weight shifted onto one leg. She waited and scanned the road for a bus or a yellow car, and soon found one heading towards her down the street.
She took a moment to inspect herself while she waited for the car to get closer to her. Her formfitting dark purple and black dress was still neat and clean. Hopefully it would stay that way once she got out of the car. The shoulder ruffle was fluffed and fine...as well as the ruffle at the bottom of her dress. Her raven black hair was still in nice thick ringlets. She hadn't touched anything so her makeup should be fine. Flower pin still in her hair? Yes. Alright....
She shifted her weight again and crossed her arms as she waited for the car to pull up in front of her. She had no need to wave the thing down, she knew she didn't. They always pulled over for her. Weather they really wanted to or not.
Carefully, she opened the door and gently slid herself inside, trying not to let her disgust show on her face. She hated public transportation. HATED it! Once she was settled in, she closed the door beside her and looked up at the cabby, who was looking back at her with an approving smile on his face. He was blond, rounded, eyes spaced rather far apart, and his sense of hygiene seemed to match that of the floor mats under her feet. It took a surprisingly great deal of effort to politely smile at him rather than gag.

"Where ya hedden beautiful?" he said with an accent that she couldn't quite place.

"A hotel." she replied. "The most expensive one there is around here."

"No name?"

"I'm not from around here, and I'm just passing through. I have no idea the names of any buildings around here. I just need a place to stay for the time being."

"I meant your name." the man replied with a bit of a goofy smile.

Edel kept eye contact, but her polite smile wavered slightly. Without replying, she casually leaned back in the seat and let the smile return. He slipped two slender fingers into the cleavage of her top, and pulled out a pretty green hundred dollar bill. "It's been a rather interesting day for me." she lied, then held the green bill out towards the man. "Let's just keep the small talk to a minimum and get me to where I need to go, shall we? I'm rather exhausted."

The man eyed the bill about as much as he had been eying her, then took it with an even bigger smile. "Anything you say mam." he replied. Without another word, he turned his attention back to driving.
