I don't know if Player will count as Boss/Leader/E4 Battles in terms of EXP awards, but I want them to since it might encourage player interaction as well and they also take a lot of effort to write (and a long time if your opponent goes missing XD)
Yeeeeaaaah... Player battles do count at the 6 EXP reward.
And congrats for the Shiny!

Thanks! I was so surprised since I wasn't even breeding them for shiny. And elsewhere, I have like 100ish Larvis leftover from my shiny run... They're 5IV Outstanding in Heavy Balls with 4 eggmoves. Want one?
So just to be sure: Wild = 3EXP/participating Poke, NPC Trainer = 5EXP/participating Poke, and Player/Leader/E4 = 6EXP/participating Poke? So in JD's and my mock battle, my Pokes would all gain 3EXP each and his, 6? Or would his fainted Pokemon still gain only 3?
