How many? I have 3 godzilla films. dude my dad raised me on godzilla Liiiiiiiies...... Nah, I'm kidding. xD I got like 5 Godzilla films, but lately I have been looking to collect all the movies. dude it's been established i am a nerd >.> Geek... actually. A nerd is someone who puts more emphasis on mathematics, science, history, etc. There more caring about the pursuit of knowledge. A Geek is like a nerd, but instead of knowledge, they are more concerned about knowledge pertaining to certain types of media.

Minor is in chemistry and comp science Grades don't usually equate to nerddom. xD I make good grades to in those classes but I don't classify myself as a nerd. I classify myself as a Geek because...well...I was pretty born as one. Starting writing fantasy and science fiction when I was little, was reading Lord of the Rings at Age 6, grew up with Kaiju monsters, Pokemon, Anima and Manga, and of course video games in general. Also I am a definitive Star Wars fan. I got some major geek cred. But then again, I am not a nerd, so I wouldn't know how nerds distinguish their own people from one another in terms of what makes a nerd a nerd. EDIT: Also....don't believe I'm a geek yet? Get this, I dungeon master Dungeon and Dragon campaigns every other week. (Actually it's Pathfinder which is D&D 3.5 edition if it didn't suck >.> LOL )

Geeks and Nerds are not the same, but they are similar. Each term refers to a person in having alot of knowledge pertaining to something, but depending on who you ask, the definition will change. You already know my definition, and as far as I know, it's the most popular by default. Geeks are into all things geeky (D&D, Star Trek, etc) and nerds are into all things educational. Occasionally though I will run into someone with the opposite of the definitions, and they are not necessarily wrong. The words Nerd and Geek have very shaky definitions, and because they are so similar in nature the two often get jumbled up and confused. They are also confused cause each word brings to mind the stereotype of the socially awkward loner with glasses and pocket protectors who have a hard time fitting in at school. However since we are in a day and age that has whole heatedly accepted the Geek and Nerd community, people have started to forget what a true Nerd and Geek is. These are the days when you have hot cheerleaders take photos of them making funny faces with their friends, posting them to facebook with the caption, "I am such a nerd"....and people will actually believe them... Which quite honestly undermines Geek and Nerd culture considering someone who has truly embraced that way of living has paid the price through social shunning. Seeing s**t like that definitely angers people like me, as it causes people to forget what a Geek and Nerd actually is. Yes the culture is fun, yes we shamelessly enjoy and express are niche interests, but it wasn't without price. People tend to forget that just a decade ago, nerds and geeks were beat up, given swirlies, stuck in trash bins, and worst of all verbally abused. Back in the day when the crowd mentality reigned supreme, being a Geek/Nerd was socially unacceptable. I hope people throughout time remember those facts. Through much harsh trials, we were the ones that made Geek and Nerd culture cool. So naturally whenever I see someone say their a Geek with evidence pointing to the contrary (you can usually tell by looks alone, shallow and vapid it may be...a person's look is a good indicator)....I tend to get suspicious. Though I will really only call them out if I actually know about them. Despite that, the fake geek trend going on these days, just because the culture has actually evolved into being socially acceptable, can really piss me off at times. xD (s**t...i rambled well past the point what we were talking about....)
