This time, you fly right through the tomes as you remember how to read Lupine Writing System. One of them is water magic and contains entry-level spells, one is fire magic with top-tier spells, the third is light magic with intermediate spells, and the last one is blood magic with top-tier spells.
Nyx:
Lyriana comes over to you.
"Hey," she says. "Nice moves out there. That mage was pretty slippery, huh?"
Sand-Claw:
Irene points to your tail. When you look back, you realize that you still have a bolt stuck in it!

"Slippery? Try slimy." I scoff and shudder as I remember him cackling like an absolute madman. "I need to brush up on my skills in predicting my opponents' future movements. Study up on body language language again. It's been awhile since I've dealt with people who can dodge well. I'm used to easier targets. Guess that's why I go for the big guys and the ones that aren't that agile"

The easiest one is a simple water magic spell. It allows you to manipulate nearby bodies of water. You learn it quite quickly.
Sand-Claw:
{STR 17: 10}
You have no issues pulling it out. It stings a little, but is otherwise pretty painless.
Layla:
{WIS 15: 14} {Healing d6: 3}
You heal Apollo fairly well. {7HP/10HP}
{WIS 15: 3} {Healing d6: 2}
You heal Mazurn most of the way. {15HP/16HP}
{WIS 15: 10} {Healing d6: 1}
You hardly heal Talc at all! {8HP/12HP}
Nyx:
"Go for the easy ones?" Lyriana repeats. "Where's the fun in that?"

"True... But the bigger guys sometimes take more hits to kill... And I want to ensure I survive. I have someone special I promised myself I would find my way back to. I don't plan on dying before then. So I'll hack and slash away at the bigger guys until I know I can take down the more slippery people. For now... I need a slippery sparing partner."

I sigh and give up for now. I flop to the ground, exhausted. For as much as all this walking and fighting took, making miracles happen was quite tiring. I get comfortable on the grass, laying down under a tree so the sun doesn't shine in my eyes too much. I look about to see if Xiao or the others come by, and pull out one of the books I swiped from the manor and begin to read it.

I smirk. "May as well get some sword practice in." I roll my shoulders and wave my sword around (while making sure not to hit anyone) in a few practice swings before turning back to Lyriana. I set my feet like I've seen female swordsmen do. Swordswomen? "Alright. Let's go."

"Which one is this?" Xiao asks. "Is this one of your dirty novels, or one of your action stories?"
She seems to know a lot about your reading habits. Perhaps a little more than your character realized.
