Lucien pulled up his sleeve and gave it a burn from the furnace. The canister of Nitroglycerin hanging from the interior of the furnace was about to drop into the flames. "Another one for a night of slaughter..."
He stepped back tending to his burn and walked into the shadow.
The canister slumped off of where it hung on the wall into the flames. The ship erupted into a towering inferno as pieces of the hull and bodies were flung into the air.

Mike watched as the harbor exploded, making his ears ring. A tower of fire engulfed the sky in red and thick, black smoke. Mike could barely feel its heat from where he was standing, and it was well away from the harbor.
Mike's first thought, as his jaw dropped, was, 'I wish I could do that'
Then he squinted. Warakai was coming but... was Lucien alright?

Warakai floated to the top of the water observing the towering inferno "to bad, he was a nice guy" he said drifting slowly towards the boat avoiding the falling wreckage.

"Where's Lucien?" Leith asked Warakai as she walked closer to him, her hair glimmering in the still burning light of the explosion. She could smell it now, a horrid smell.

Mike jumped as Warakai popped out of the water and walked to the boat.
"Warakai..." Mike stared, seeing he was unhurt. Then he frowned a little, looked at the fiery inferno that used to be the harbor, and back at Warakai. Leith asked about Lucien. Mike furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah, where is Lucien?"
Was he alive? Was he hurt? Was he a pile of ash? Mike ground his teeth.

"He stayed behind, he seemed pretty determined to do so" Warakai said to the two of them climbing out of he water.

Mike spat, "Wh-whut're you talking about?" He ground his teeth harder. Looking back at the raging fire yards away, Mike grew a little sour.
'The idiot.'
Mike plopped down on his butt and wrapped his arms around his knees, his chin on his arm. He glowered down at his silly camp fire and started biting skin off his lips.
'Stupid... stupid Lucien.'
He knew the harbor was a bad place. Karma had come back to bite them. Its what they got for killing so many. They had lost an ally.

A splash was heard behind Warakai, then Lucien jumped out of it gasping yowling in pain. "AGH!! GODDAMMIT...NEVER JUMP INTO A COLD BODY OF WATER WITH A BURN...." he clutched at his right arm where a burn in the shape of an intricate skull was formed.

Leith went over to Lucien and slapped him hard, "What's wrong with you, are you an idiot or something?" She could feel the others' surprize.

Eyes widening, Mike didnt expect to smile. But then he glowered at the Elemental.
"Lucien," Mike growled, then said, smirking. "Thank you for introducing me to a generally new experience."
'Being pleased to see you.'

Warakai climbed into his boat flashing a smile at Lucien "I have something for that" he said taking a dried dead lizard from his "Medicine" chest "if you want it" Warakai said holding it up by its tail.

Lucien fell back over into the water for recieving such a hard slap, then leaped back screaming twice because of the burn AND the slap. "I know, I know. 'what the hell were you thinking' 'are you an idiot' I deserve all that...I just needed to do something. And no, no thanks Kai....This is something that needs to stay on me for a while..."

Leith was then slightly embarassed for slapping him. She bit her lip and went back to the fire quietly, huddling into Mike's jacket again.
