Back in her bedroom, Ari screeched and clutched at her ears. The cry Evermore had made traveled to her sensitive ears and she writhed in pain. The awful sound reverberated in her skull over and over...

Ever's hair began to flash red, as did her eyes. This was insane! Why was she born into this?! Why did she always feel so conflicted about Ares?
And now Ross had joined in as well. She saw how he was standing beside Aphrodite, in almost a protective stance.
She groaned weakly and looked at Ross, her eyes pleading. Her voice was soft and tired.
"Please don't tell me that Aphrodite is your lover.... I don't think I could handle that right now."

Back in the mysterious Room, Aurora was looking at all the books. There were just so many--Altan had been helping her look at the titles. It seemed that these books all had a single common subject: magical secrets. Things like Nessie were even there. The Krakken, gods of all sorts, and mythical items. She ran her hand along the volumes, before stopping and turning back to the other occupants. "I think," she said, "we should stop for now. We ought to wait for Evermore to truly search, don't you agree?"

Caroline had barley gone past the door of this crazy room in the shower - she was too intimidated, and wanted to be able to make a quick escape in case something bad happened. You could never be perfectly confident with magic.
"I agree," she said quietly. In this room, her voice was plainly audible. "This is too weird... We should tell the Headmistress about something this unusual, don't you think?"

Ross almost gagged. "Gods! Eurgh! No way..." he exclaimed, "She's my mother... ew, I don't think the Godly family can take more incest! No offense, mom," he said quickly. Despite the tense moment, Aphrodite gave him a quick hug. "None taken," she replied.
Ross smiled, relieved. "Now Dad... Ares, let her go!" Ross demanded, gabbing his father's wrist.

Ares glared at Ross. "I will not let go," he said, and his voice rumbled lowly, sending out vibrations that Evermore would be able to feel with her proximity.

"Why don't you listen to Mom for once!? Christ!" he exclaimed, giving Evermore a concerned glance. "Let her go! She doesn't want to be around you... either of you! At least Mom's not holding her hostage and mushing her insides!" His hand tightened on Ares' forearm. "Let. Go."

Ever hadn't heard anything anyone said after Ross told her that Aphrodite was his mother.... Oh gods.... Aphrodite was his mother, Ares was his father....
Even though she didn't think it was common for gods to do this, because she was on Earth, she probably was more human than most gods.
She leaned away from Ares and vomited in a bush.

Ares growled, glaring harshly at Ross. "She never listens to anything I say unless I do something drastic." A pitiful excuse, but he didn't care.
Turning his attention back to Evermore, he turned her around when she was finished. "...Are you alright?" he asked, trying to meet her eyes.

"Christ!" Ross called again as Evermore barfed into a bush. He had a feeling it had something to do with his lineage. Oh well... nothing he could really do. He loved his mom dearly, and she was pretty good about the whole ‘raising children’ thing.

"Oh!" Aphrodite exclaimed as Ever threw up. "Ares," she snapped, "You let that girl go this instant!" she fretted, gently smoothing back Evermore's hair from her face and checking for a temperature. She bit her lip, her blue eyes wide. "Are you ok, sweet? Where does it hurt?"

Ever glared up at Ares, but when she saw the soft look his eyes, she sighed and her eyes stopped being red, as well as her hair. She slumped against him with her head resting against his chest and her arms hanging loosely at her sides.
Aphrodite was actually being really sweet to her right now, and Ross was very concerned, but frankly, she didn't feel like she could trust any of them. Well, maybe Ross, but not Aphrodite or Ares.
"No, I'm not alright. And it hurts everywhere... I just found out that I almost slept with the son of my boyfriend and his former lover. I found out they had a child together, one I almost slept with. Either way you say it, it sounds terrible, which it is!"
And she also didn't realize that for the first time ever, she had called Ares her boyfriend.

Aphrodite snatched her hand back, as if she had been bit. ”Look,” she said, ”Like it or not, Ares and I were together and romantically involved for a while. We had kids. Nine, to be exact,” she said lovingly. ”… and you never go to their birthdays, Ares!” she said accusingly. ”I’m sorry if my children disgust you, Miss Evermore, but take it out on me, and don’t you dare judge them! It’s thanks to me that you do didn’t have sex by that lake… so you’re welcome for me saving you from doing something you’d later regret!” she said. ”I don’t understand this hate you have towards me, Evermore,” Aphrodite said sadly.

Ross rolled his eyes at his mom. "You technically have seven kids," he muttered, "Considering Phobos and Deimos are a pair of--" He was silenced by a look from Aphrodite. "What!? It's true! They follow dad around like a pair of dogs!"
