Granted, I haven't been around since the beginning of Guild Reboot 4, but didn't everyone meet in Rockefeller as opposed to on the plane?
So every character is to travel around the world without sightseeing (except from the plane) for a net movement from their hometown to Nintendo HQ, Kyoto, which the Japanese could easily drive to on their own. Only a Heavy Private Jet (second in size only to the commercial airplane) might allow enough mobility for 20 people from opposite ends of the plane to converse, but these planes lack the capacity to cross the Atlantic without stopping at those strange purple islands in the North Atlantic. Forgive me, but I don't see why Nintendo would fund a round-the-world trip via one Kyoto plane, with or without sightseeing, when it would be more cost-efficient to just commission a limo for the Japanese, a Vancouver>Seattle WA>LA CA>Chattanooga TN>NY NY>Honolulu HI>Kyoto JPN plane for the North Americans, and a Berkshire/London>JPN plane for the Londoners. This would also help relieve the pressure on the Japanese to post first/everyone else to post in order, since either JPN chara, Christian/JD, and either Brit could post first for their plane. Most large events (or at least, the business conferences I attended) do have "idle days" before the actual event for mingling, so if the characters don't chat by text/FB/other media (unlikely if they're all at least acquainted with each other), they can meet up there--and more likely, initial interaction would happen first between people of the same country anyway, especially if they are quiet.
Scold me if I'm bringing too much reality into the RP, but your plan makes little sense to me. confused
stare Fiiiine... I will admit that, yes, my plan is kinda ridiculous. It was late, I was tired, but those are not excuses for my not thinking it through all the way. I'll go back and edit it so that we all meet up at the limo ride. And I like the idea to have a day to ourselves to interact and sightsee, so we'll do that also.
I don't want to scold you for pointing out a big fluke with my not-so-well-thought plan. I guess I was just trying to get into the game, and I got a bit ahead of myself and threw in a rather crazy idea at the last second. So instead, thanks for dropping a reality check.
Your avi's current face makes it hard to tell if you really agree with me or are just humoring me XD;; Your words imply the former. If the former, you're welcome? If the latter, I'll tone it down.
Out of curiosity, is your and JD's mock battle dead? We're in the (singles-esque) endgame for our mock battle, and it looks like JD is going to win. Blasted Mirror Coat XD

Sorry about the avi, but I really do mean what I said. Every now and then a reality check is needed. Don't feel bad, if I was going to tell you to back off, I would (in a hopefully nice tone).
I would say that JD and my battle is dead, I've... uh... yeah... sorta lost interest... sweatdrop

No need to apologize for the avi. I'm sure it fits the character you're cooking up for it. ^^

Good match, JD! If you hadn't pulled out that Mirror Coat at all, I would have won. (As it is, that was still really narrow. Each Pokemon with 25- HP!)
I'm going to go ahead and detail the money exchange too. You can decide whether to have Wes refuse. Then, we'll end it by having our characters enter Victory Road together!

Do Trainer/Player battles award the same EXP as NPC Battles--5 EXP per Pokemon defeated by the victor (15 in our mock battle)? And are these awarded equally to all of the victor's Pokemon (15 each) or is the total split (5 each)?

Good question, and yes, the EXP would be the same. So if you think about it, this is a lazy way of farming the system for EXP... As for the sharing, I feel that it would be split amongst all the Pokémon that participated. (Not sure at the moment of what the EXP post says)

Obtaining EXP (from Rules): "Each "out-of-battle" post gives 1 Exp to every Pokémon on a player's team, while each Wild Pokémon battle gives 3 Exp, and NPC Trainer battles give 5 Exp per Pokémon that the NPC uses. If Pokémon are swapped out in battle, then each of them earn a combined amount, so if two Pokémon are used to defeat one wild Pokémon, then both of the player's Pokémon will earn 3 Exp. Fainted Pokemon will also gain half of the Exp from a battle, rounded down."
At the moment, Player battles are absent from the EXP Gain post. While Player battles would be quite beneficial for levelup, they are still a fairly slow levelup system, and they may very well be slower than NPC Battles since each player must then wait on the other, whereas in an NPC Battle, you could conceivably write a single gargantuan post (with a stupid NPC, but who doesn't write a stupid NPC XD) to gain big points in one shot. I don't think Player Battles will be too widely exploited as an EXP farm (and if they are, hooray--more practice/interaction and more posts XD so long as that's not all that's happening), so I feel that winning a Player Battle should award 6 points per opponent's Pokemon instead of 5. Ditto for Elite Four and Gym Leaders.
The section I bolded is a little odd, though. Neither I nor JD switched Pokemon out, but our Pokemon worked together to defeat each other, so how would that breakdown go?
Oh yeah, and do the loser's Fainted still gain half the EXP (rounded down) a healthy Pokemon would? I suppose the victor's Fainted would. Non-participants do not gain EXP in a battle, do they? Or does it count for them as an OOB post? Will EXP Share give the Pokemon holding it half EXP as well?

I will answer those, but my cuurent living arrangements prevent me from using my computer, and I hate my phone for making posts. Don't worry I will get to it.
I also need to get around to kicking the people that we haven't heard from.
Hey there, I finally got around to finishing my profile for Gold, I hope I did everything right! Can you please double check?
Sure thing! I'm at work for the day, but I'll get to it sooner or later.
Alrighty thank you!
