((enter Superman from Batcave))
After finding no one in the batcave ((Hey, he was only there for a split second, I didn't want to post it okay!)) Superman found himself in civillian attire knocking on the door to Wayne manor. Hoping that everyone would be too busy with the end of the world to wonder how and why a Metropolis photo jounalist was going into the mansion of a Gotham billionaire.

Alfred opened the door, looked mildly surprised for a second, and then held it open to allow the man entrance. "Mr. Kent, please come in. Always a pleasant surprise."

"Thank you, Alfred. Is Mr. Wayne home by any chance?" Clark asked politely as he stepped into the antechamber.

"I'm afraid not," Alfred replied lightly, shutting the door behind Kent, "I believe that Master Wayne is currently flying under the radar, as it were. Hardly a surprise. Is there any way that I could be of service?"

Arachne kept still and silent in a small dark corner of the ceiling, a rather amused smile on her face. She hadn't seen the whole thing...but what she had seen was quite entertaining. Certain that there was no immediate danger towards her, should she slip out of her hiding place, she carefully crept across the wall towards the only girl left in the building.
Edel stood there a moment, staring down the street where the girl had gone. After a moment, she shook her head and continued down the street. That was a bit odd. The look in the girls eyes said that she knew her...despite what she had said. But...she didn't look familiar. Though, she was quite young. And had dark hair and eyes. The girl very well could have been one of her own. But, that didn't matter at the moment. Should they meet again, she'd find out then. Right now, she needed to find a place to stay.

After a moment, Alex suddenly tensed. She had the feeling that she wasn't alone...and usually when she got that feeling, she was right. Though with what just happened, she was half expecting to see Shadow. Carefully, she turned to see if there was anyone behind her. She found no one. But, with half of her friends being able to scale walls or fly, Alex reflexively did what most people didn't. Look up.
There, she found her guest, and she didn't recognize the woman. Alex tensed even more and let her claws extend out, not taking her eyes off the new girl. "Who are you?"

"Oh, just a frail little spider who'd wandered here to find shelter." Arachne replied with a grin. "Someplace nice and quiet. But it looks like I picked one of the busiest places around."

"Looks like it..." Alex replied, the tips of her claws begining to turn bright yellow with heat. "I'd suggest finding someplace else to crash. Unless you were wanting something..." Something about this woman just didn't sit right with her. She didn't give off any kind of sign that said she was threatening. But still...what was she doing?

Peyton Riley
Ventriliquist IIPeyton glared at the headlights. She heard voices, one high and squeaky almost and one low and filled with mothering tone. She glared and heard them scream. She reached in her purse. "Want to play chicken?" She pulled it up aiming it at the driver. Scarface quickly followed with. "Sugar, lets see what made these ladies in such a hurry before we go off shooting." She moved slowly out from in front of the car keeping the gun on the driver. Then the lack of blinding light she noticed the red hair. She suddenly felt at ease as she saw that, maybe it was the irish in her. She smiled at them. "So where you ladies in such a hurry for? Hot date, because I can tell you, sometimes they are way overrated." She didn't take her gun off of Ivy as she watched for her reaction. Her body ached but she ignored it.

"Oh? But things seem to have calmed down a great deal now. At least they seem to have. What do you think? Do you have any idea what that nice little performance was all about?" Arachne asked, continuing to crawl her way towards Alex.

Alex arched an eyebrow at the woman. "I suspect it was another good-guy bad-guy fight. What more is there to know?" she replied, then her eyes narrowed again. "I'll say it again. I'd find someplace else to crash if I were you. Unless you were wanting to join in on the fun. Because I'd be happy to go for a few rounds with you. Really. I need to let go of some steam."

Ivy almost laughed as she hit the glove compartment as she pointed the gun. Harley saw it jump open and quickly grabbed the gun inside. She knew what she was implying. She tracked it on the woman as she walked around the car to the driver door. "That's our buisness little girl..." Ivy said as she smiled at the girl. Then Harley jumped in. "Yeah, maybe you should just stick to playing with your dolls." She said smiling with her gun pointed at the girl. It was then Harley started to notice the way she was standing and how she was resting too much weight on one leg and the way she curved her waist as if it was in pain on one side. She didn't falter at first she had to protect Red. "Why don't you and your little friend drop your gun...if we wanted to take you out we could have with the car." Ivy said gently and gestured to put the gun down. Harley felt her hand tight on the gun.

Jason sat the table of the small kitchen, staring out the window that gave a perfect view of the wall of the neighboring building. He and the girl had gone trick or treating, she had cheered up quite a bit, and then they’d gone back to the building. No one had shown up in quite some time, so he decided to find a bit of a better place for the kid to sleep for the night. His place was falling apart, full of dust and mold. Not something a little kid needed filling her lungs. So, they’d found a nice apartment building for the night, ordered a pizza, and here they were. The girl was in eating pizza and watching tv, and he was sitting quietly, listening and waiting to see if anyone would enter his building again. He made sure he didn’t stray too far from his place, and wanted to keep an eye out for if anyone returned for the girl.
Suddenly, he heard a squeal come from the other room and whirled around to see what was wrong. He looked just in time to see a small red blur shoot past him, and the refrigerator door swung open a second later. He turned again and found Rosie standing in the middle of the doorway with her back towards him and the new carton of chocolate milk tilted in front of her face. He sat there and blinked at her a moment or two. ”Um…wouldn’t it be easier with a cup?”
Rosie shook her head and turned towards him, still gulping away at the carton. He then noticed the half eaten slice of pizza in her hand. It definitely had more than just pepperonis on it. ”I told you that one was spicy.”
”Yeah, but you didn’t say it was hot.” Rosie replied when she finally let go of the milk for air.
Jason smiled and shook his head. ”Are you out of your pizza then?”
”Mm-hm.” she replied, already back to drinking from the carton.
”And you’ve finished all your candy already?”
”Mm-hm.”
”You full yet?”
”Mm-hm.” she replied, finally putting the milk away with a satisfied sigh.
”Alright then, um, should you go to bed then?” he asked. He really didn’t know what to do now. He wasn’t a babysitter. He’d fed her, kept her happy. Now what?
”Not yet.” Rosie replied with a smile, heading back towards the living room. ”I’m watching cartoons.” she said, then disappeared inside the room.
Jason paused a moment, then turned his attention back to listening for the others.
"Omochiikaeri!"
Jason blinked and looked back at the doorway a moment. He got up and slowly walked over to the doorway to see just what the kid was watching. He found Rosie lying in the middle of the floor, the doll she’d claimed lying beside her, looking up at the tv screen. A mess of candy wrappers and a pizza box on the other side of her. Anime? Huh, they didn’t usually have this kind of stuff on tv. At least not for any of the channels he gets. Come to think of it…he didn’t recognize any of the characters at all. Three of the characters looked normal, but there was a girl with long blue hair, and two with green. ”Never seen this one before. Is it new?”
”I think so. It’s called Higur…Higi…Higu…” Rosie replied, then paused a moment to think. ”It’s got a weird name. They’ve had a lot of cartoons of this one! I’ve seen all of them so far. I think they said that this is the third season.” Rosie replied with a little smile pointing at the screen.
”Wait, you’ve watched two seasons already?”
”Uh-huh. It's a marathon. Noooo advertisements.” she replied with a smile.
”Don’t you think you’ve had enough tv?”
”Not yet. It’s a really good cartoon! Besides, Lily wants to see what happens next.” she said, grabbing her doll and holding it up towards him.
Jason smiled. ”Named her already?”
”Yep.” she said with a smile. ”I’m Rosie, she’s Lily. Like the flowers.”
”You sure you’re not going to get tired? I mean you’ve been watching tv for quite some time.”
"Sorry Keiichi-kun, I'm only doing it for the cream puffs."
”I won’t. I’ve been watching another cartoon that’s on another channel.” she said with a smile. ”If I get too tired, I’ll just fall asleep here. I did the same thing last night. Don’t worry about me. You’re doing a great job looking after me.” she replied with a small smile.
Jason looked at her a moment, then smiled and started back towards the kitchen. ”Alright. Just go to bed if you get sleepy, alright. Cartoons will still be on tomorrow. And don’t watch anything you know you shouldn’t be. Don’t want you picking up on anything you shouldn’t.”
”I won’t.” she called back. ”I’m not allowed to watch bad stuffs.” she said, then turned back to the tv. She waited a moment, then a faint grin curled around her lips as she flipped the channel back to the other anime she was watching.
"Stop Whining! All I did was cut off your stupid legs! Summon your demons! Transform yourself! Regenerate your legs! Stand up! Pick up your gun and attack me! Do something! The night is still so young, and the real fun is yet to start! Hurry, hurry, hurry, HURRY!!!" a man in a red outfit and hat shouted as he glared at his legless foe with a bone chillingly thrilled grin that stretched across his face.
These cartoons weren’t bad. Not at all. They were very good. Very interesting. She hadn’t gotten bored with wither of them at any point that they had been on. Still, the man might be listening to what she was watching now. This probably wouldn’t go over too well. What, with her being at such an impressionable age and all. And suppose she was…that tazer looked like it was fun to use. She waited to watch just a bit more of the current…rather gruesome anime, then decided to change it to something that she ideally should be watching.
Oddly enough, the first thing that caught her interest was a little girl, looked about her age, in a pink dress and curly blonde hair in pig tails. She had a little doll…with a gun built into it. And an exploding ball…and jumping jacks…. The show seemed to be a biography of some kind. A Gotham something or rather. Rosie wasn’t paying too much attention to what it really was, but this Mary Dahl did have her attention. Rosie took a look down at her own doll, back up at the tv, then down at her doll. A smile crept around her lips again, and she picked up her doll and hugged it tightly against her as she scooted closer to the tv.
Alright, so it was safe to say she was very impressionable.
