A few chirps of his communicator alerted him that he was being hailed and he opened the line. "Yes?" His face betrayed no expression sans a bit of boredom. "Ah, just the distraction I needed to get me away from all of this tedious paperwork. I trust you have good news for me?"

The man raised an eyebrow at the Reyvateil quizzically as she laughed about her joke. When she mentioned about someone tipping them off, he allowed himself a small smirk. Well, Naomi, finally you strike. Was beginning to wonder when you'd make your move. "Hmm... someone, you say? Yes, I would be more than happy to deal with it. After all, the mysterious tipper must be a very close friend of mine and deserves that respect at least." He wasn't going to be able to kill the woman just yet. She was the only one with the most extensive knowledge on keeping the Fau Pira going. "That person will be experiencing the luxuries of our prison cells first hand very soon, rest assured." He had to wait until the Fau Pira and the Reyvateils with it had outlived their usefulness. He had to wait until he gained control of Ar tonelico.

Then, Naomi, along with the FPD's would all become dispensable. "As for your orders, I had sent along ECCHRA with some of my other men up there. We have lost contact with them as well. It would be best to wait until they make their move. The Teru aren't stupid enough to keep FPD's under their care. However if we attack we will look like the instigators. I would say, wait until the group tries to claim sanctuary with the church. I've been wanting an excuse to take over the church's territory and gain control of the Tower, anyway."

"Yes, of course, Rinna! I'd love to bunk with you," Nel chirped. She yawned too. "Today was the first day I remember singing so much. Miss Mana, is it okay if I go to sleep as well? I don't mind if you and Miss Shion need to do some catching up. I'm sure I'll just sleep right through it," she said, smiling at the two of them. "Today was a really hard day for everyone and I think I just want to sleep." She followed suit with Rinna and got into just her undergarments before hopping into bed beside the slumbering Reyvateil. She curled up to the other girl and soon, Nel was fast asleep, too.

The Reyvateil sat down beside the half-ling and and meekly looked up at her. "It's all right, Mana. You don't have to feel bad. You... want to know what happened after they took me away, right...?" Her head lowered and she kept her eyes fixed on her feet. "Tests. A lot of them. The Controller... Hikari... and I... Both of us went for lots of them together." She sniffled. "It's not fair! I never wanted this, Mana." She shook her head. "It's too much. I don't understand what we did wrong... Why do we have to suffer like this?"

"So, surveillance, then." She couldn't help but sound bored. "And here I was hoping for another chance to get my hands dirty. Well..." She looked down at her freshly manicured hands. "Figuratively, anyways. But, after all the excitement today, maybe it's for the best. I'll set up teams to watch the clinic as well as several other places here while I head back to Seraca. I'm sure if I tell them I'm being chased, they'll let me in. That way I can wait for them to come to me. Is there anything else?"

As soon as the comm unit clicked off, she turned her airship around and began heading down the tower. She had plenty to do and just as much time to do it in. But it was getting late. She'd get started first thing in the morning. After setting down past the outskirts of town, she left the cockpit of her airship and entered the modified passenger area. It wasn't nearly what she was used to, but she could deal with it. And it was only for the night. Come tomorrow, she'd be a refugee, taken in by the church.

Ishira felt that he should protest and help Melody, but exhaustion and worry over Rhaplanca held him back, "Very well," he sighed. As the others departed for their offered rooms he followed suit and reentered his room with Rhaplanca. He debated once more whether to confront Rhaplanca tonight or wait until tomorrow. He figured everyone knowing her secret before Rhaplanca was prepared for that would be irresponsible and disrespectful. He deliberated how to approach the topic.








Soon after Rhaplanca has dressed into her nightgown she had heard the door to her room open to reveal Ishira. She could see something was bothering him.
"What is it?" her voice was quiet, almost a whisper from fatigue.




Ishira rubbed his eye with the heel of his palm, "I have something I want to discuss but I don't know how you'll react," he spoke honestly.

First concern washed over Rhaplanca, followed by defensiveness.
"I see," she spoke hesitantly, "Well, I suppose straight-forward would be the best approach," she tried to smile despite her anxiety. What could it be?

((OOC: my, this is a pathetic post... I apologize I am so tired. I will finish this early tomorrow and have my characters sleep so we can start the next day. I am just so tired sad ))

A groan escaped the Teru as he shifted in bed, his hand closing around Hikari's. It seemed the heat was getting to him. The air around him began to chill as his magic began to overcome the flame magic that the clinic staff had used to keep his in check. A thin layer of frost rapidly coated the bed. As the temperature lowered, it seemed as if the Teru was becoming slightly more comfortable.
