Sin's eyes widened and she almost purred in delight when they came across the hot springs. She rushed up past Riley and looked down at the delightfully steamy looking water. Oh she was dreaming of a hot bath and a relaxing massage and now it looked like her dreams were coming true! Except...they were in the middle of a snowy wilderness and probably in serious danger if they didn't get out fast. Still Sin was seriously considering stripping off the horridly bright JOYful elf outfit and taking a quick dip. The longing was in her eyes and her fingers kept toying with the zipper on her outfit.

The warm breeze was a welcoming feeling for the red dragon, attracting him rather well. Without much hesitation, he walked along after the others, wondering what the source could be. A small part of him wondered if this was all somehow some horrible painful dream and the breeze was a hint of reality hitting him.

.. Probably not.

Being a little behind Riley, he didn't see the spring right away. But he soon came up and peeked over her shoulders and widened his eyes at the sound of the hiss.

"Is... is that what I think it is?" he asked hoping to Jack that it was a hotspring. He could really use the warmth right about now.

Oh and it was. However he quickly realized one problem.

"D-dammit. Curse my size," he whined. He wouldn't be able to fit in the springs in this form. That didn't stop him from sticking his claws into the water though, "... So... warm..."

Colette looked around at the seemingly growing number of students. Still keeping a whisper, she sighed stubbornly, "Not in front of all these random students. I'm leaving. You know, going the right way. Don't die," and turned around to leave. Why should she care? Maybe he was safe with the group heading in a random direction, even if it might take more time, but she was leaving to head out the right way. It certainly had to be quicker than wandering off track, and she just wanted to leave now that they had arrived at the target and found nothing.

The Reaper continued past others without a word, ready to go down the lane alone. She felt annoyed at how stupid some could be, just wandering wherever they wanted on the path deemed most dangerous, but she didn't exactly want to bother with people that reckless anyway.

Plus, she had thought to come down here alone in the first place, so maybe it was better she was alone. She didn't exactly know a lot of students before this trip either, she wasn't bound to anyone, and no one was required to care about what she did. Colette figured she could sneak around or something and reverted her thoughts back to her original plan of loneliness. She was used to it, and she knew she was safer quiet and alone, like usual. There was a higher chance of JingleBerry messing with a loud group too, and like Barth said, they had good chances of surviving. If not.. well, that was there fault. She was teetering on not giving a damn.

Colette tucked her swords against her back, too frustrated to carry them, and crossed her arms to keep warm, mumbling, "Whatever." She wished she didn't leave her jacket at the warehouse, but at least the lane wasn't too cold.

"Well, but..." Barth said, looking longingly at the hot water before tagging along after her (albeit slowly). They hadn't split up since the first train car, and she had followed him into certain death before.

"Where to? The train's wrecked. Even if we get back to base camp, everyone else is here, and there's no way back to Halloween."

He hesitated, then revealed reluctantly, "I was going to use the chopper. Earlier. It couldn't carry a lot of people, but if the battery could be hotwired... Not err, by me, of course. But Sandy's sleigh has to have a similar get-up to travel so far into the human world. Chopper's probably wrecked now, though."

Christof nodded slowly in response to Aksaja's question, yeah he was alright- mostly. His head felt like it had been stuffed with cotton, the world a bit dreamy and slow, and whatever the dragon had done to put his feet and leg back on felt... off somehow. Cold, it must have been the cold, numbing up his limbs. Or maybe the Joy was finally ready to snuff out what fearful life was in him. No, that wasn't it, honestly the rest of him felt... okay, or okay enough. Right. Just... one foot, then the other. There we go. He let go of Aksa's shoulder, ready to try on his own and at first it seemed to be going relatively well. He was moving forward, at least. Then, he spotted that lavender skin and those lovely legs wrapped up in their hideous Christmas Wrappings...

Sin! Sin was here! She had made it without being tromped, hugged or blown up! Not a scratch on them! Maybe a bruise, but bruises healed, and he could feel his feet shuffling awkwardly under him as he propelled himself towards the scent of sulfur and warm before finally the unsteady repairs gave out and he crumpled to the snow at Sin's feet, frantically hugging her calf with his remaining arm. He fouuuuund her! Now he could nap peacefully.

Oh blessed warmth, she'd nearly forgotten what it was like not to ache from the cold. Even the warehouses had been frigid, though protected from the wind. Every part of her frozen body screamed at her to get in the water and properly defrost but alas common sense kicked in. Getting into the water meant getting wet, wet meant literally freezing when they eventually had to leave to get back home. Which was apparently much sooner than she thought, Barth and Collete where already heading off. Giving a low wine she slowly trigger after them, it was smart to get a move on she guessed. Staying in one place, no matter how warm, was just inviting Jingleberry to come back.

Catching up she gave a last forlorn farewell to the warmth of the hot spring before turning her attention to them. "We positive it's this way?", it'd suck to travel down the whole path only to find themselves back in Christmas town.

He grunted in affirmation to Hadiyya's question. "Ninja. Damn Jingleberry slaughteredus'all." He was reluctant to admit his defeat, but whatever. What was everyone doing? West slowly rose to his feet and offered an arm to Yaya. If there was some way out of this place he didn't want to miss it.

Colette turned around at the boil's voice and was surprised he was following, but like before, her first reaction was annoyance that someone had followed her on her attempt at being alone. Frowning, she made shooing motions at Barth with her hands, "What are you doing? Go away."

She had only taken several steps and the springs and the others were clearly in view, "You're supposed to stay with those students, so it doesn't matter where I'm going." She actually didn't know how they were going to get home, but she mustered up a comforting thought that the gnomes had to leave somehow.

Colette tried to be as standoffish as possible, but she wasn't exactly one for raising her voice in anger. Instead, she turned around and stood there, crossing her arms and attempting to not care. It was hard though, he had actually planned to follow her. She waited to hear the footsteps of a retreating demon.

"Do... you want to be alone?" Alwine had been watching. She was a wallflower, it's what she did. She watched others... that and she had been too scared to speak.

"Colette, I... I'm sorry, but I don't think you should be alone. You saw Jingleberry... if he found you alone..."

Alwine shook her head.

"Please stay nearby, for safety!"

Slaughter.. That didn't sound at all appealing.

Gladly, the ghoul took the offered arm, raising to her feet. Free hand brushing away the snow that clung to her borrowed coat. "I just want to go home." She sighed, adjusted her grip, and let herself be led in the direction the others were clustering around. A glance behind let her spot Tybalt, and she wiggled her fingers at him in a 'come on' sort of gesture. She didn't want to leave him behind.

The closer they got to the others, the warmer the breeze was beginning to grow. That was down right curious. Then again.. anything warm right about then sounded wonderful.

And then she saw it. Steam raising from a pool of water with snow melting all around it. "What in Jack.." Dark lips parted in awe, and it was her that was now leading the avarice demon. Water, HOT water. She was in heaven. Ninja? Who cared about some silly ninja, they had a hot spring! "Come on West, Ty!" She gave West's arm another tug, attempting to drag him forward.

A shady looking snowman appears at the hotsprings!

But rather than attack, it slides into the water. As it slowly melts to nothing, it's last words are, "This world...hold nothing for me. My soul is as the wasted tundra...my words are like a chill, hollow wind that brings no JOY. Would that I..." Sadly, it's intended speech is cut short as its head melts down.

The blast had the gryphon land head first in a patch of snow. Tahki didn't know which way was up or down or right or left. Only that there was cold stuff covering her right now and that she hurt all over.

"mrrrphhhhhh" Was all the gryphon could manage with a beak full of cold icy snow. Hopefully help would arrive soon to give the poor bird lion a hand. Tahki could really use one right now being all stuck in snow and what not. Oddly, the gryphon couldn't help but wonder why ostriches hid their heads. From this experience Tahki concluded it really was not fun.

"MREAWWWWWRRR" The gryphoness gave a yelp one last try.

Sammy was about to go running for the hot spring, however the giant gryphon land in the snow not to far from her was a different story. Running over she started to scrape away at the snow. "H-hey! C'mon now get your head up! We found a place for a warm bath c'mon!" Oh she wanted to take a warm bath, but her flying friend needed the help a lot more.

Barth looked baffled, and a little hurt, in a soft thing that had been kicked sort of way.

"What students? There's err- safety in numbers, you mean?" True enough. "But what they've said. You've stuck with me so far. When I um, wandered off by myself. I mean. Even if err, it ended up getting everyone killed. Sorry about that, by the way."
