"Hello, ma'am?" Caroline greeted the teacher shyly. She must have been the teacher, she was the only woman in a greenhouse filling with girls. And Caroline was the only girl wearing capris and a sleeveless hoodie, rather than the Bai Ching uniform. "I'm... new here..." Well duh, of course. "My name is Caroline Enlil." She looked at the things that the teacher was replacing. "May I help you? I can take care of the heavier things for you..."

As the bell rung, Aurora methodically gathered anything she had taken out in her little break and began to make her way to her third class of the day--even though it was technically the fourth period. It didn't really matter all that much, though. She knew what she was doing, so that was that. Brushing her hair over her shoulder (today it was blonde with pale lavender streaks throughout), she walked easily through the crowded halls to seemingly the other end of the school.
She had sewing this period, and though it didn't show on her face, it was one of her favorite classes.

The sound of flapping wings could be heard as Kindra and Shintero where flying towards Bai Ching. They where riding on a dragon formed by a combination of an earth and wind elemental spells. "Thanks for giving me a ride to my new school." She yelled over the wind. "No problem its the least I could do." He replied. Soon the school was in sight. "Hold on tight we're about to land" Shintero yelled to Kindra, as the dragon began to fly lower and lower until they landed. When they both jumped off they noticed that they had landed near what happened to be a green house.

Miriam looked at the voice that now greeted her. Ah, so this must have been the new student she felt earlier. And she was polite. Miriam could grow to like her. She set down what she was carrying, and turned her attention to her. "Welcome to Environmental Science. I'm Ms. Rose, the teacher. Umm... Nope, I think I've actually got everything set in place. Just don't mind the vines. They're a part of me."
She took a glance around the classroom, and spotted a table with an empty seat near her desk. "Why don't you sit there for today, until we can find you a good seat. And be careful. There's some powder in that container."

"Alright... Thank you ma'am!" Caroline said pleasantly, and took the empty seat near the teacher's desk. The container, a jar, had some powder in it. Caroline carefully pushed it aside, so it wasn't right in front of her. Some of the powder got on her hands though. It smelled odd, and it made the young dragon want to sneeze.
Caroline crinkled her nose, and ducked her face inside the crook of her elbow. There was just a tiny sneeze, nothing more than a puff of black smoke, and an oder somewhat like brimstone. After all, Caroline was a dragon, and she did breathe fire. "Excuse me for sneezing," she apologized politely.

Miriam smiled. "It's alright. Just keep an eye on that powder. You're going to be using it later on today in this experiment." She wondered slightly about the smoke that came from her, but put it out of her mind. Right now, she just wanted to focus on the class, get it over with, and get to her sweet sunlamps.
She clapped her hands enthusiastically. Just one more period! "Alright class! Today we'll begin the experiment. We're going to see how various compounds react to other substances. Since this class is so far ahead of the others, I thought we'd do something a little bit more fun." The stuff they were about to do was basic chemistry at most, but she needed an easy break for now.
"First, we'll be taking that container of powder, and see what happens when you apply a little heat and water to it. Can everyone pour a about tablespoon of that powder into the beaker?"

Cuwen Ever gasped and then let half her body sink into the water again so that she could stop floating on her back and face Akira. There was a large smile on her face. "Yeah! You could join me in the early morning for meditation! That'd be great! I'd love to teach you how. It's a great way to quiet your mind, and to me, it sounds like your mind is getting in the way of just relying on your instincts and letting your magic happen." She'd have someone, her best friend, joining her for meditation! Akira smiled back, glad that Ever took the idea so well and was actually willing to teach her! Besides, it would be really fun to meditate with her best friend! "Sounds good! Thanks a tone in advance, Ever! And actually, Sensei kept saying exactly that, well more like 'forget your demonic instincts and focus on the magic inside of you already! No! Do.Not.DODGE.'" she giggled, mimicking her teacher's stern and loud voice. Soon enough, the half dog demon heard the bell for 4th period, but sighed happily, since she had no class right now. "Ever, what class do you have now? Cuz your gonna have to run like crazy not to be late!!!"

Caroline obediently measured out the powder into the beaker. She couldn't quite tell what it was... nothing too bad, or they'd be wearing gloves. For all Caroline knew, this could be flour, and the chemical reaction was making dough.
But, flour didn't make her sneeze this much! As soon as it was in the beaker, Caroline had to drop the measuring spoon, and went into a flurry of small sneezes, her eyes pink and watering. Every sneeze loosed a puff of black smoke, until there was a thin haze in the greenhouse.

Miriam's attention immediately went to Caroline. Was she allergic to whatever was in the powder? Not good. And what exactly was all that smoke she was sneezing out? She immediately stepped in front of the new student, and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Caroline? Caroline, are you alright? Do you need to go see the nurse?"

Caroline shook her head, blinking out tears that were forming at her burning eyes. "No... achoo! I'll be - choo! - fine - choo! I just - choo! - need to leave - choo! Water - achoo!" Water would wash away the powder - and then she would come back with a mask.
She sneezed again, this time tiny sparks of fire were visible in the shadow created by the crook of her arm.

Miriam was slightly wary of the little lights that were coming out from behind Caroline's arm, but her student's well being came first. "Alright. Come with me. I'll show you where the nearby lake is. It is closer than any water fountain is in the school."
She held out a hand so she could guide her outside.

Caroline could do nothing but sneeze again. "Achoo!" That time, there was a substantial flame. Unlike an attack, which was directional... well, normally dragon fire acted like plain old fire. Which is too say, it spread in a full circle.
And ignited Miss Rose's hand. "I'm so sorry!" Caroline wheezed through the sneezing of smoke and fire.

Miriam blinked. Oh... She's a dragon. That explains all the sparks. And the smoke. And the fire. And... Wait. My hand is on fire. MY HAND IS ON FIRE!!! All that went through her head in a second, as she watched the flames that started on her hand quickly travel up her arm, before spreading like wildfire across her body. One bad thing about being an alraune, you tended to be HIGHLY flammable. An inhumane shriek managed to escape her mouth as her body burned, falling apart in multiple burning petals. Miriam hadn't been burned in years, and it came so suddenly, that she didn't even know what exactly was going on until it was almost too late. All she could really do was watch all of her students horrified faces as she slowly burnt away, leaving only ash and her bush of leaves to mark where she once were.
God dammit. Could this day quite possibly get ANY worse?

Caroline could barely see her teacher's demise through itchy eyes, but... Now Caroline was honestly crying, not just from the powder. "Holy s**t I killed her!" She was not normally one of those of the mind to cuss, but.. today was special. She hurriedly got up - for what, she wasn't sure, she had no idea what she could do. She couldn't even see straight. "Omigawdomigawd..."

Suddenly, the vines in the room went spastic. Some accidentally coiled themselves around the girls, while others set about knocking everything over. Soon, something slowly started to rise up from the middle of the room. It was a small green head, with a bright yellow flower on top for hair. And boy, did it look pissed. "HEY!!! You there! Dragon girl! Do you have ANY idea how ******** long it took me to get that body to just the way I wanted?! It took me weeks just to grow flowers that had the skin tone I wanted! I had just finally made it just right, and now you've gone and burnt it up!"
Yes, this little head in the ground was Miriam. Being an Alraune, she has a special connection with all the plants surrounding her. While connected to the ground, even if her body is destroyed, her mind is in fact preserved in the earth. As such, one would have to destroy every single tree, plant, and root in the area, or uproot Rose to kill her off completely. Luckily, this time, she was firmly planted in the ground, and as of such, in no real danger. But boy, was she pissed. That was her favorite body that got burnt to a crisp, and now she was reduced to using... This. Worst. Day. Ever.
