I smiled at that, but it was a 'I don't think so' smile.Hard to trust people when you were left unhelped in a time of need The thought entered my mind unwelcomed, but true.

OOC: Quick note: IC=In character. OOC means out of character. If anyone would like to encounter Spike or Chaos, feel free, but no one walk up to them and say "I'm your brother" or some BS like that.
IC:Chaos sat quietly, perched on a gargoyle in Station Square. He could sense something severely wrong with the city, put couldn't quite place his...er...tendril on what it was. He stared down at the traffic below, contemplating how he may reach the ground. He had been overhearing some people conversing about "Project Shadow 2.0" and "the experiment escaped" and such. Noticing a small ledge, he grabbed it and swung down to the street.
Spike sat down on his motorcycle, staff in hand and Desert Eagle in hip holster."Off to Empire City. If I heard right, there should be a massive pile of 'niks to smash." "Good... that'll collect us a considerable bounty." Said the chameleon on his cell phone. The red porcupine hung up, and rode to Empire.

I stuck my tongue out at him. This guy isn't half bad after all. I thought. I saw Shadow stir in his sleep and suddenly wondered what he was dreaming in his forced sleep.

goren chuckled a bit and noticed shadow probably nothing he thought to himself and then realizing how tired he was himself he fell asleep instatnly

After making sure both of them were covered, I went outside with my MP3 player, hopped onto a high branch of a nearby tree and put in the earbuds. I stayed there for hours, letting Goren and Shadow sleep. While I did that I started remembering parts of shows and games with Shadow in them as a character, and how in one of them someone had suggested that Shadow's few remaining memories weren't his own, but that they were fake and implanted into his brain. I took out a mirror and a picture of Shadow, and again was bothered by the resemblance between my own reflection and his picture.
OOC: I am starting to introduce more of Darkres's actual backstory in here, but I will be writing it as a regular fanfic based on amy-rose421's original idea and posting it somewhere soon.
