! UPDATE !
H-Hey, guys~! I AM still, indeed, alive, though I admit I am not checking Gaia anywhere NEAR close to what I used to be. REGARDLESS.
It took us 24 weeks in 2011, but we were able to attain attention again thanks to our own Endranse and his lovely Xth Form Endrance cosplay. CONGRATS~!

Also: My first placing in the 3 years I've attempted to get my own version of Endrance into the arenas.
...Hard to believe it's been that long...since March '08 I believe...How time flies.

! UPDATE !
Okay, I feel like I am making an improvement with this "visting-Gaia-more-than-once-a-year" thing, so this time I was only a week late in updating this.
But yes, we have ANOTHER .hack//Avatar Arena winner, this time a gulidmate by the name of taurus_boy who has acheived a monumental success by being the first Elk to place in the avatar arena~! So please congratulate him if you see him!

! MAJOR UPDATE !
I knew long ago that this thread would need a somewhat major overhaul in order to maintain itself as a piece of historical significance independent of time. [[I know it doesn't make sense now, but I'll explain shortly.]] Whenever I would update this thread, one certain aspect of this thread consistantly bothered me: the introduction. Rather than a sweeping welcome that itnroduced people to the thread, it was stupidly simple and began with "Due to some...recent successes in the Avatar Arena," which was obviously a reference to the fact that my mule account, The White Whisperer, had placed in the Avatar Arena. Indeed, this thread was created shortly after my Balmung won, and I really just wanted to show off.
Thus, the opening remarks of this thread were not up to my current standards. That, however, has been rectified, and now the introduction includes a brief history of the Avatar Arena, followed by Its Meark's achievement of being the first .hack// cosplay to win in the Arena, followed by random other things. It ends on a melancholy, but hopeful, note, and then leads on to the second post.
As for visual changes, nothing has really happened. Everything truly just shifted down one post. As for other updates, they will be listed below.

! UPDATE !
YESSS~ I actually posted an update to this thread ON. TIME.
So, once again, Its Meark has placed in the Avatar Arena with a .hack// based Avatar, this time showing off his cosplaying skills to accomplish a nearly immpossible feat: Mia. Is it just me or does anyone else find it weird that first Endrance placed, then Elk, and now Mia? CREE~PY.
