She motioned him to follow, feeling a bit too much fish out of water for her tastes. A look at her hands. "They're fine. When you play with electricity, jagged metal and destroyed wiring, not to mention the impliments used to cut those when laser cutters aren't avaliable...one has to expect some personal damage. I've had worse."

"Haven't seen Lillia but I know where she is. My own techs tell me she's back with the echoes...doing what I often do. Just lazing around in there, watching them, perhaps interacting a little." But Jelena gave a heavy sigh...she really wasn't looking to Board.

"Was supposed to be two days from now. Though with this little Catalyst fiasco I'm sure they'll reschedule me." Then a look to him that was a little skeptic. "You mean you want to attend in my defense when you've already admittedly roughed up one of the Board members who already things you did that because you wanted my project back to full, because we have a social agenda with each other. You sure that's a good idea? They're already going to work me over for thier own personal sadistic amusment."

"If I were you I'd take a hint from Erik and get as far away from me when that Board meeting comes. I don't cry after they belittle me and question my abilites as not only a scientist but as a basic human being. I throw things, break things...I like to tear one thing apart and completely start over. I vent with anger."

Indeed the woman had a very violent side to her. Fein often said it came from reperessed emotions and the like. Yeah well, she could deal with the anger rather than her past. She shoved her hands in the pockets of her lab vest, fingers idly playing with a pen that was in her pocket.

"Honestly I don't know. I've been letting a tech handle that for the past week or so. I planned on sitting down for a while and reading up on the files to catch myself up. I've been a little out of touch lately with work." Though that was no surprise to her, happened every year around this time.

"Is that your answer to everything? Rough em up a bit. I know they're all pricks on some level but if I want to keep my project up here for the next five years that I have left before I can get permission for another ten, then I have to take thier bullshit." A shake of her head. "I told you before, you keep it up and they're going to incarsirate you for god knows what they could come up with. And they'll just use our relationship against the both of us."

She finger quoted the air now. "You're standing up for me only because you don't want to see me shipped back to earth because we're involved." A snicker then, they always had something good to throw when you went to Board. "Oh believe me, I'll probably need to be restrained, sedated and kept locked away for a bit...Board is really the second thing on my mind right now."

"They don't call you to Board because they don't want you to beat them all to a bloody pulp. That's why you don't get to Board...honestly it's not as secretive as you think. You're basically brought into a stadium style room, they all sit above you and look down thier noses at you, slinging questions at you that you are supposed to defend aaginst...if they ask you to defend that is. Sometimes it's just a verbal lashing and there's no more to the issue. Kinda like parents yelling at you."

Yeah...that sounded sucky. Indeed it was. Sometimes Radiance high ups were just way too high in thier thinking. Though she did offer him somewhat of a smile to him, seeing as he was trying to show so much that he didn't want her just tucking her tail between her tails and taking it. "They've questioned my humanity before. Though I don't want them turning our relationship against us."

"Welcome to reality of being the baby project. I'm still the one all the big kids pick on and that's all there it to it." No, she wasn't ignorant to that fact, she just didn't like to think about it that's all.

"But I think you're right...get back to work, check on Lillia. I need to focus my mind on something or I swear I'm going to loose it and go postal on someone. Or myself for that matter, who knows."

And a long look at him as he mentioned it again. "Maybe. Depends on if I want you to actually see me get verbally stripped and huminilated. I've taken it before...I guess I can deal with it."

"Like I said, I'll have to pull up files for the past week or so. I really haven't been paying attention to work. Other things weighing on the mind and then all these disators that have been happening, you wanting me to know extra securities and the like. It's all just kind of piling on and crushing." A small shrug from her...damn long walk of an access way between cruisers. "But that's life I suppose. Tosses you around sometimes."

Then she seemed to guesstimate in her head some. "You know...I can't really say for sure...but I think my original coding for pelt color was done fore a red and black thing going on...I'll be damned if I can remember what markings I may of tried to input." Yeah...really distant from work. "But something should be avaliable for us...be it visual or just through data."

"Yes actually...this isn't the best time of year for me that's coming up adn already started..." She rubbed her arm some, out of that fidgety motion that people just did sometimes. No, not a good time of year...too many memories of the horrid persuation.

Though at least doors were kinda working...still needed a little manual manhandling but no problem in that, that's what crowbars and she guessed James were for, right? Though accessing information in a computer system with limited power and this hightened security routes on said files, was not so easy.

And that went for both rooms and the like. Not fun at all. In the end, James was left holding two manilla folders for him to read through...this was why she always had written and print outs of all data every day. Never knew when power would get blown to hell.
