To sum things up on our part, Javon and I got married, and we're living in apartments right now. Can't afford a house quite yet...
We're actually going to celebrate our one year anniversary this weekend, so we're excited about that! c:

Yeah, houses are really expensive. We bought a fixer-upper in September and it's still not quite finished. Soon though, soooooon...

Oooh, fixer uppers sound fun. We were looking at one, but it'd have been too much money to fix it up... So we decided not to.
*fights back urges to sing Fixer Upper* > w< I'll have that song in my head all day now. lol.

If it's any consolation, I got the song stuck in my head immediately after I posted it razz
Luckily, a lot of the fixing costs were cut since we have a lot of contacts. My dad has a plumber friend and a joiner friend and my granda used to be an electrician and also is a Mr Fixit type person. I can also paint and grout, so most of the cost was just the materials themselves.

*raises hand* I live with my husband! And...we still sometimes have to borrow money...from my mom.. -_- I feel awful when I have to, but she doesn't mind helping out.
