She was busy leisurely swimming through the air right now, oblivious to the knocking at her door but turning a glare on the FS officer who came in thereafter. "Don't you all ever wait for someone to tell you to come in?" Oddly enough she felt the need to chuck something at him. Pity all her things were velcroed down.
"And don't try to suck up and be polite, but do thank you for telling me about James. If you would be so kind...leave now." She was in no mood to deal with FS officers right now at all.

the FS member left quickly. who knows if she had some small echo in there that coudl move in zero gravity that she coudl sic on him.
At Meta, James was still being worked on, though it was mostly just replacing burned out things and making sure the replacements worked. So far so good. not that they were pleased on the whole. they liked that he'd done the good deed of getting the backup generator online again, but that gave them a lot of work to in fixing him. Damn Catalyst adn thier experiments. James of course was awake for this, they needed him to be to check the neural pathings to control his bioware. however, Jessica's first reaction? slap him, and slap him hard.
"You know better than to use that Catalyst contraption without PROPER personel on hand to monitor things! That coudl have down a lot more than minor heat exhaustion and some repair work!"
"Lillia did just fine--"
"I don't care, James! it is NOT her JOB to make sure you are in perfect condition and health, that's MY job, and I take MY job VERY seriously!"
Slap again.
"I swear I'm going to put all the attachments not DIRECTLY needed for fleet uses in an old time safe so you can't hack into it this time! you hear me James Moria?! and I being quite clear?"
"Yes."
"I didn't hear you, are we clear?"
"Crystal."

So to her door she made her way, clicking buttons to open it and idly push off the door frame, letting herself drift a bit...yeah she enjoyed her zero gravity really...and she would make use of it. Actually she was trying to devise a way to short the gravity in her own living space...she'd yet to figure out how to isolate it to the one space.
Pity transporteres didn't work. Which meant it was back to service accesses between ships to get to where she wanted to go. Of course by the time she reached Ingenuity she was walking on the floor again...people in Meta didn't like anything floating around if you weren't equipped with something to make that possible.
She poked her head in, looking around a bit. She always felt a bit lost on Ingenuity, especially when back in actual Meta project...there was always something going on.

James was still alying on the table, the bioware arm twitching and reacting as it was poked and prodded and checked to make sure everything worked, as well as checking the weapons and taser. he looked over to Jelena, and gave a wave with his other hand, while other was being worked on. verious other robitcs and peices of equipment where in cases and testing, bioware arms, legs, attachments, and a few things like eyes or hightech guns, laser cutters, rocket packs and out into space sutis for everything dome combat prototypes to service repair suits.

Oh yeah...she remembered why she always felt lost in Meta...too damn much going on at once. It was so hard to concentrate. But she guessed that for machine junkies...as most of the Meta project workers were in fact such people...it was the purfect enviroment for them to work in.
No Jelena got all...odd and careful whenever she was back here...which wasn't often. She used to go in attendence with Rosey here sometimes...but she didn't go when she didn't have to really. But she made her way over to James, apparently being very careful where she walked. "So, how ya feeling?"

"Feeling fine. it was only a little heat exhaustion."
Jessica gave him the evil eye, and then looked at Jelena.
"Hello Ms. Trevale. I'm sure you know me, I head up the persona team for James' bioware."
Offered hand.
"I'm jessica. adn the real report is that he damn near cooked every wire and motor in his arm thanks to that stupid catalyst attachment."
Another smack on James' head.
"Everything that needs replaced is being so, he had a minor heat exhaustion mostly because the coolant systems in his arm went down. no major physical damage. however I must stress that if he tries a stunt like that again, that he be required to get a member of my team for monitoring. not that i don't trust his judgement, but that girl, Lillia...woudl have had no idea how to handle it if somethign had gone wrong."
"But nothing did go wrong.."
"Hush. somethign coudl have, that's the point, not that nothing did."

"I've at least heard stories about you Jessica." And she shook her hand but then seemed to withdraw to her own little personal space of the area she occupied. She really did feel a little out of place. But hey, had to get over it. Though she did restrain the need to correct Jessica....Doctor Trevale, not Ms. Trevale. Personl quirk of hers.
"Well...it's all his doing. I had nothing to do with it...he's the one playing Mr. Fix It. I was on Innovation ripping out wiring systems. James isn't the only thing that Catalyst completely fried..." That was highly an understatment. Though a little chuckle at James being hit so casually.
Though a blink at James. "You used Lilia to help? James...that's nowhere in her degrees..." Oh god, something to complain at James about. "Is she okay?" 'Cause things could freak anyone untrained for certain things out.

"She was fine. did a good job. no need to worry."
"Next time, one of my team, James."
"I know. hopefully we won't have a next time."
Jessica turned back to Jelena.
"So how bad is the damage? we've got a seperate gravity generator for the back here, some of the electrocis are just too sensative to have them floating about. though I did hear it was pretty bad. we were about ready to evactuate to raidiance when teh backups came on for air and general power."
The techs were putting the peices of James' arm back together, locking and srewign things in and down and on. most of them were quiet, offering only small smiles to Jelena.

The noises of the place perhaps made her a little out of place as well...one used to nothing but animalistic sounds verses though of electronics would tend to feel that way really. But she mostly tried to stay out of the way of everyone.
"Catalyst fried the main power generator...over seventy fiver percent of it had to be ripped out. I threw in the towel at about five hours on my part...they were still working on it when I left. Though I had a FS tell me that they're getting gravity back to the rest of Fleet soon. It's at least a step. I don't expect us to be out of emergency backups and status for at least another day or two."
A sigh and a slight shake of her head. Ripping out that thing was no easy task, putting it back together was even worse...provided they had parts of course. Then a nod to her head about Lillia. "I'll make sure to check on her still. Poor girl hasn't been up here for six months yet and she's already getting put through the ringer."
Jelena gave a stressed sounding sigh. "At least this pushes my Board apperance back, thats' the one blessing I can find."

Jessica nodded.
"I know what you mean. those dipshits on the board can be a real pain sometimes. they have no diea how things get done aroudn here sometimes I swear. I get tired of having to justfiy in triplicate every single possibly, remotely dangerous item that I order. I mean for christ sake the man has a plasma cannon in his arm. which means he needs certain types of weapon level containments and plasma injections from time to time. get a clue people."
Then she shook her head.
"But there I go ranting. we almost done with him?"
James gave Jelena the thumbs up.
"Almost ready."

"I think Catalyst is spoiled and everyone on the project knows it. Because they're energy converstion and generation and the like, you know how Radiance babys that whoel thing. But can I get clearance for enclosure construction, of course not. No, I get taken to Board over things I can't control and aren't my fault."
Jelena rolled her shoulders and ran a hand through her hair, giving perhaps a forced smile to both James and Jessica as she watched Jessica, and her team for that matter, so easily go about it all. "Well...if I ever get my arm or something blown off, at least I know Fleet has serious people like you up here Jessica."

"God forbid that happens. But yes, I take this job very seriously. I quit with the government after the fiasco that happened to James' unit. At the time..I did what I was told. like a good little drone. of course afterwards, I testified at James' court marshal, and they gave him only twelve months under a kind of house arrest. didn't boot him from the service until his twenty was up."
A pat on James head.
"After that he asked me to put a team together, price didn't matter, adn come to help the survivors or the new augmented personel as tech support. he personal, handpicked team. We're the best the field has to offer, I can promise you that, Jelena."
Though a roll of her eyes at the mention of Catalyst.
"Well if somethign like this happens again, this bad..I am personally going to go down there and neuter all of them. call it an experiment to see if we can recreate reproductive organs."

She smirked and played one finger on her chin. "You know...that's not really such a hard task. I technically do it all the time." Indeed technically she did, but that was another branch of science all together. But her mind drifted from that as she crouched to play with the gravity intensity on her boots. Felt a bit high.
Jelena stood again, leaning back against the wall, waiting. Didn't know exactly why she was waiting, but she was waiting. "Nice history lesson. I guess it's comforting to know that some Projects were well on thier paths with appropriae minds before I got up here and made a cruiser into my own."
A little smile. "I dare say I'm quite the cruiser hermit. Nice to hear something about something else." She tilted her head a little. "The best of the best. And to think we have them on Fleet."

"That's the only brand I accept in my teams, and James knows how good I am. with people like that general on earth...they deserve less than the best. maybe a few more disasters that don't make it into people will teach them not to put people like him in charge."
But the team finished thier work, and James sat up, flexing his shiny new bioware, always looked good after a repair job, and picked up his shirt, putting it back on, while Jessica walked over in front of him, and pulled his head down to hers.
"No more catalyst contraptions without one of us, right?"
"Right."
"Good."
A little kiss on his cheek, motherly in a way, though she was probably close to James' age if not younger, and patted him on the back.
"All yours, Doctor."

"All mine? Good Lord, whatever shall I do with him." A little melodramatic tone to her voice at it, rolling her eyes slightly and shaking her head. Though a little laugh at how Jessica so jokingly patronized James really. It was nice to see that not everyone was keen to be all professional with James.
She idly played with the few bandages on her hands as well as steri strips. No one said that ripping apart metal and wiring was an easy job. And the medical supplies were only there to protect until nanomachines in her blood took care of the damage. Still bothersome though.
"All brand new out of the box in mint condition. How lucky for me."
