*to Sato* You know, you talk a good line, sweetheart, but I'm still not convinced. *He pins her with his smile and an intense stare, before he nods to the keyrack.* Go get your key. Let's go talk about this.

::Sato grins and walks over to the key rack and slides off her key, then turns back to Luke::
You haven't completely convinced me yourself, stud. I do believe that we should DEFINITELY have a more in depth conversation on the matter in private.
::Sato saunters over towards the guest rooms with a grin, already unzipping the top part of her flight suit slowly down her chest::
I'll be waiting, Luke. You know.. You always get on my case for calling you a kid. Now's the perfect chance for you to show me what kind of a MAN you are.

Janani blinks and almost swallows while she's breating, which of course makes her cough. She may not have a clue about what's going on...but she knows that Luke and Sato leaving means that she'll be left alone...with Cora. She still doesn't know how she'll talk with the woman to try to become friends. She can't just abandon her duty as her duty is to protect humans by fighting demons. Janani almost has a pleading look on her face like...don't leave her alone or something... She doesn't talk for the moment...

Have you lost your mind? What is the matter with you? :::She could tell from one look at tim that he was serious. He was going to leave her there. With Janani.... worse than alone, as far as Cora was concerned.:::
It was too good to be true. The Seraphim did a lot worse than that bruise, he knocked something loose!
:::Cora got out of her seat and marched in the direction of the library, trying her best to fight back angry tears, but she could feel the flush crawling onto her face. She turned to say what she had to say, regardless:::
Y'know what, this is fine. Just FINE. You go and ******** around with HER, while I sit in the library and try to find a way to protect this place from you-know-who. Because obviously you're not going to help me... you can just go and get into another fist fight for all I care.

WHAT? CORA! .... What the ********? *repeats* I'm not going to help you?! *Luke starts up each sentence angrily.* Do you even get ... Do you even know what I .... The things I DID to ...
*But Luke is stunned. Every one falls short of what he means to say.*

She could barely stand the anger anymore, it was squeezing her by the lungs, and trying to hold it in, finally forced a couple tears from her eyes::: And use a god damned condom this time. I don't wanna hear every girl you ******** telling me that she's having your baby. :::Then Cora finally stormed off, walking as quickly as she could without running, so that she could maintain a shred of dignity. *Luke watches in complete and total shock as Cora storms out of the room. He's still reeling from the ******** s**t that's coming out of her mouth. Use a condom? So every girl he ******** won't tell her they're having his baby? What ... What the ******** was WRONG with her?! What the.... Did she even get what he .... ? He shook his head and the thought away. He was the one who taught her what a condom was!*
What the... *What in the blue ******** was...*
*Fine.*
*She wanted him to leave and ******** around with Sato? Fine. Great. That's exactly what he planned to do. After everything with the Seraphim, Aimee, Chuck, the key, and Sato damn near stripping down in front of him -- Luke decides that that is JUST a long enough list of reasons.*
*And he was going to get there, before he kept her waiting any longer.*
*Luke faces Janani, tight-jawwed..... he sends up a wave.* Have a good night.
*He turns around and heads for the guest rooms.*

Janani simply blinks. First of all... Okay. It's all just, "What in the world is going on?!" right now. It seems Cora and Luke are enraged with one another. She begins to choke back tears. They... They seemed so much like friends! Tavin didn't lie about Cora's kindness. Right? Right?! No... He couldn't have! She was genuinely mad at something... It could deal with human chemistry... Janani watches as Cora storms out of the room, and she feels helpless...and her grip on her drink breaks. The glass is strong enough not to shatter on impact, but the everclear would pour out onto the floor.
Then she hears Luke. Surprised, Janani looks up to respond to him, just barely. She nods as she waves, absentmindedly with the hand still holding fast to WhiteRose.
Good night Luke...
She's stunned for a good few moments before deciding that she should just swallow her fear and try to talk to Cora... She doesn't know about the recreational room, and she has no idea where Cora's 'guest room' is, so she decides to try the library. Taking in a deep breath, she heads towards the library holding fast to WhiteRose, much like a child might hold her doll.

**Enter Luke from Guest Rooms.**
*Luke strolls into the main room and expels a contented sigh. Smiling lightly, he lazily walks behind the bar and gets a bottle of water.*
*He leans his elbow forward against the bar and appraises the Brink. He realizes that he doesn't want to go back yet. All that was waiting for him back home were unfinished exams due early in the morning.*
*With that thought, Luke decides to use his time wisely and heads towards the library, wondering if maybe this time he'll be able to find what he's looking for.*

::Sato walks lazily out of the guest rooms. She's exhausted, and her hair (what she has at least) is sticking up every which way. She's wearing only sheer pair of military gray underwear and a tank top. She lets out a yawn, and walks over to the bar. For once she pulls out a bottle of WATER and gulps it down. Sato stretches herself out, reaching to the sky, and then looks around the main room. Not a soul. Shrugging, she slides her tank top off and tosses it in a heap on the bar counter and scratches her back listlessly. She grabs another bottle of water and starts off to the Rec Room, gargling as she shuffles along::

*Luke faded in, once again studying for the LSATs. He'd been in the middle of zoning out... When he blinked his eyes, he realizes he's in the Brink.*
*Luke scratches his head and yawns. He rises from his chair and goes to the bar .... where he finds .... a tank top.*
*Luke lifts it up and remembers who it belongs to. He smiles. Luke hears muffled noise coming from the rec room. Someone was watching TV, and he had a pretty good idea as to who it might be.*
*Luke grabs a beer and walks into the rec room.*

*Melliandra appears, seated cross-legged on the Brink's floor. Her hair is loose and she wears only a sheath of silky black fabric, wrapped around her torso leaving her arms and shoulders bare. A small vessel, full of a dark liquid, balances precariously on one knee*
*One of her arms is already covered in strange, curving script, and she seems to be just starting to paint on the other. She glances up only briefly at the transition, then dips her long, thin brush into the little inkpot and picks up where she left off, slightly above her right elbow.*
