Janani looks up as she hears Luke's voice. She sees Cora, and a chill runs down her spine. She hopes not to get chided by her again... She swallows hard. She'd rather be friends with somebody that Mystina and Luana have said is a nice person... Janani takes a step back as Sato makes her way around the bar, and she looks at her confused as she passes.
"whip it out"? Is Luke going to do something to hurt Cora if he gets drunk... Then why would Sato make "it" sound good...?
Janani whispers to herself before she shakes her head and decides it best to be polite and reciprocate Luke's greeting.
Hi, Mr. Luke... Ms. Cora.

Cora's disapproving noise sets her aback. She heaves a sigh knowing things already aren't going well. When Luke walks closer, a spine-tingling chill runs down her back. She almost doesn't hear the comments between Sato and Luke with that distraction. Janani can't help but look between them with both confusion over what in the world they are talking about...and a fearful curiosity over what could have made that tingly sensation. She shudders just before she hears Sato's question...
Uh... Anything, I guess...
She doesn't know any drink names...

:::Even from the few paces back Cora stayed in reluctance, she could hear the whispers between Luke and Sato. She pretended Janani wasn't there for a moment, which she actually found quite comfortable, and sat next to Luke, giving him a somewhat.suprised, and slightly grossed-out look:::
You're not going to have sex with her, are you?
:::Cora couldn't for the life of her figure out why, but she was suddenly reminded of the awful kind of beer Luke liked to drink. She took one look at Sato:::

*Luke sits up straight in his seat as Sato gets his attention.* Whew.
*He jerks at Cora's comment, as she plunks down next to him. And.... what? He is speechless for a good 30 seconds. Before he picks back up.* Well, that's a good question, babe. *looks around* We are at a bar ... We are having drinks....
*hands Sato one of the shots, says softly* This one's for you.
*points to Sato* But really, that's up to you, babe. I dunno. *poses the question, like a concerned party* Do you think I should have sex with you?

::Sato laughs at Luke's reaction. She pulls out a bottle of Everclear to give to Janani and a bottle of Merlot for Cora, then downs the shot Luke hands her::
Hmmm... I think you should. Unless Cora here is jealous. Perhaps she wanted to have sex with me first.
::Sato lets out an exasperated sigh::

Janani just takes the bottle and starts drinking. Of course, her sips would be gulps to them. Their conversation has gone down a very...strange path.
They don't appear to be talking about 'gender'...
Okay. Confused might be the nice way of putting it... She decides to stay out of this conversation, but she can't let go of that feeling she had when Luke approached. Of course...she hasn't connected the dots to know that it was Luke's presence, or more like something on him, that sent that chill down her spine.
