Somehow, it would not surprise me. Either way, I'm not going to waste my money at the theater. I'll save that $6.50 for something better.

Now, Star Wars was ok. However, I'm not too keen on this "Episode 7" dribble. Personally, I think they should just leave it as is and try to delve further. It just feels like another franchise bid to me.

Well Disney owns it now so of course they are gonna milk it don't be surprised if they turn Mickey and the others into star wars characters for Disney product placement.
I'm not much of a starwars fan... I do wanna watch it because of a video I saw.

I saw a few episodes of the animated series. It was kinda lame in my opinion. I've heard rumors that this "E7" is supposed to take place years after E6. What they really intend to do, I know not, but chances are it will be a total flop since Disney has basically been screwing up everything they get their hand on lately. Hence why I switched to Dreamworks videos instead.

ASFSFADSFS WHY. WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME. YOU WANT TO KILL ME, DON'T YOU! gonk On a side note, they haven't really done that to Marvel yet, soooo...

Ugh. I'm so one the fence about 7. On the one hand, it couldn't possibly be as stale as the prequels, especially given Chibi's remarks on what Abrams has done with Star Trek. But on the other hand, there is Star Wars: The Clone Wars-- a movie and animated series based on a period of time with already-established canon which the writers and producers shot up to hell. Sure TCW was a decent series, but how hard was it for those in charge to do some freakin' research and at least use already-established stuff instead of making up and retconning so much!? I refuse to acknowledge TCW as canon. emotion_donotwant I hope 7 doesn't do the same.

Yeah lets save it for er The movie that's nothing but Thomas sliding on his butt across an ice covered lake.

It's not that I'm an overly huge fan, but my cousins and I grew up with Star Wars being the big thing. Over the summers back when they were coming out with episodes 1-3, my cousins and I would come up with all sorts of crazy fanfiction stories for the movies. It was kind of a family past time. It holds a certain nostalgia for me, nothing more.

Oh it starts off horrible... Just way to childish. I started watching it because a friend of mine said it would get better, but I couldn't get through it. And all the stuff they made up and retconned drove me insane.

It's no rumor that 7 will take place after 6, that much I know is true. What I don't know and want to know is when it takes place. So I can know whether or not they absolutely destroy it like The Clone Wars did. I highly doubt it will be a flop. Look at Marvel. They are doing quite nicely, and Disney is letting them do as they have done before without adding in their ilk.

One can only hope. Speaking of Marvel, I was a bit disappointed with the turn that the second Ghost Rider movie took. They really should have tried to keep the character in line with where the first movie had left off. Instead they turned him into some crazed psycho. Ugh! This is what I don't like about film company changes. They get new screenwriters that wanna "vamp it up", and they end up turning films into some unrecognizable drivel. If, and that is a big if, they decide to make a third Ghost Rider film, it had better feel more like the first one. I don't think I can take much more of "Psycho Rider".

I never could get into "Trek". It always felt a bit too out there to me. Besides, those old episodes with William Shatner as Kirk are just another reminder of why I don't like shows from several decades ago. It's the "overacting" that annoys me. I know things changed when both Picard and Kirk were out of the picture and the whole series took on a new feel, but then it was too much like some space drama. The whole feel of the show completely jumped into left field. *shrug* I guess it just doesn't interest me.

Now, Star Wars was ok. However, I'm not too keen on this "Episode 7" dribble. Personally, I think they should just leave it as is and try to delve further. It just feels like another franchise bid to me.

With Star Wars I'm not going to judge anything until we get more information because a lot of the initial backlash was the same initial backlash that we got when Disney took Marvel into their entertainment group. The hard core fans, and I'm talking the ones that eat, sleep, and breath their fandom, were ready to dump Marvel over the perceived fear that suddenly there would be Mickey Mouse billboards in the background of the Iron Man movies. However, the only thing that's come from this juncture is ads for Disney movies coming out and the hour of Marvel based animated shows on Disney XD on the DVDs. I really hated having to defend the purchase, as an investor, and when Lucas made his deal with Disney it was the Marvel purchase all over again with the whiny super fans. And they get whinier with each change to the Lucas side of things that comes along. So while the concern is justified, I'm not about to get all worked up over rumors and tiny bits of information here and there.

If you didn't like the first one, chances are you won't like the second one either, unless you like movies that turn suffering heroes into lunatics. Really, the only reason why I even bothered to buy it once it came out on DVD was to have the set. I liked the dark nobility that ghost rider had in the first movie. The second one was just a bunch of garbage. While I do like the angle they took of the rider actually being an angel trapped inside Johnny, I don't like the "demon" side. They made him way too crazy in the second film. I wasn't too fond of the unnecessary language in the second film either. On top of that, they didn't use the original Hellcycle. That thing was awesome looking! I had been all pumped to see it again in the second film, and then they landed viewers with some old rust bucket of a chopper. Pathetic.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. That's probably how Hulk, Superman, and Spiderman fans feel after the seemingly-never-ending reboots those series have seen in the last ten or so years.

Actually, that second 2008 Hulk movie, which never seems to be played on TV unless FX is doing some kind of Hero movie day, works very well into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe they're establishing. Aang Lee is a very good director but he deviated quite a bit from the original origin of the character. When Marvel obtained the rights to the character again they reworked the origin again making it updated and more in line with the comics while working it into what they were hoping to do for the whole Avengers movie line. Now if only they could get their hands back on Spiderman and some of their other heroes because my god the way they're being treated by Columbia is a shame. If the prior films don't make any money then they scrap the whole continuity and rewrite the entire origin and canon. Thank god the Hulk Films were at least handled by Universal who knows how to do a good creature film.

As for Superman, I'm very interested in the new one because there's a very good chance the inside of my cousin's bowling alley could make it onto the big screen. They filmed a good chunk of the movie in the town where my dad's brother and his family live in the western farm communities of Illinois 23 miles west of where I live (and about fifty miles west of Chicago). My cousin said Zack Snyder is real nice guy and has a signed bowling pin from him with a little hand drawing of a scene from 300 on it because he displays bowling pins when people score a perfect game or one over 250.

I do agree that the second film in 2008 fit in much better, so it mighy have been a mistake to include that. But, there is a reboot coming in 2015, if I'm not mistaken. Really I thought Spiderman should've been down after the third movie. I heard the recent film didn't sit so well with most people, but I'm not the biggest Spiderman so I haven't watched any of those movies after the first of the reboot.

If they decide to do a continuation of the Hulk franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I only hope they continue the trend they set with Iron Man 3 and work in how New York changed things for Bruce. However, I read they weren't going to do anything with the Hulk until after they work up a second Avengers movie. So right now they're going to focus on how New York affected Thor this November and Captain America next April first and then go into Guardians of the Galaxy next year in August.
