Mr. Crawley So the scoring goes out the window at quarter semi or finals now? Or is it a straightline all the way through. If we ditch the scoring we either ditch the post limit (which could be very bad) or we have to have judges arbitrarily decide who wins without using a system to it (which will likely get more people shouting "rigged, you ********").

The system in place can't be ditched because then it might as well be a GTB.
If you have more teams wanting to participate but can't fill the quota for the max cap, then just... do premilinaries..
Or actually tell people: Sorry, but maybe next year.
Because as I recall, it was first come, first serve.

Yyep.
GODDAMNEDVAHN!
What do you say to the preliminary rounds Pat suggested? I'm opposed if we're just cutting out like 2-3 teams, but if there's something like 24 teams and only 16 allowed, it seems more like an appropriate idea.
...then again, I just dislike excluding simply because of maximum capacity.
Ans'wrd.

Yeah, first come first serve, which I'm waiting on the judges to approve teams.

If there's preliminaries, you don't have to ditch the scoring after them. It's just used differently.
Prelims: top 8 scorers from all matches move to bracket.
Bracket: highest score from a single match moves up in the bracket.

It'll teach people to read the RULES next time, since apparently everyone got there stuff sent back.

Just get 3 judges to say who won what.
The ruling can only go one way.
And it wouldn't be a problem if it is obvious who got smacked and who did the smacking.
At least then people understand (completely) what everything is based on.

The problem is we score on more than just 'most damage done'.
There are the style, speed of posting, etc.
All things to try and give it that 'game' feeling, which is, I think, why HoH is popular.
A different approach from the norm, that can work with persistance.

Vahn Kyonuske It'll teach people to read the RULES next time, since apparently everyone got there stuff sent back. Project Swords! was the only one that made it through unscathed. I think every other team got hung up on something. ...except a** Tear, though I had to knock some heads to make sure they were doing it right. We got a couple of infractions written up after I told them to stop dicking around and actually go over it. Mmm, testing.

Also, it goes without saying.. but if there is a team that should be in, and can't make the cap... and yo uhave a retarded team already in..
No harm in a swicharoo, if it helps to provide better quality.
If you know what I mean.

Also, something else I wanted to mention.
The only thing I liked about GTB was that poll option placed into later fights, on who will win and such.
We could create some sort of betting or gambling system based on 'odds' generated by poll results for each team match.
Or just place them in for fun.
Like Tv viewers would be at home and dial in their favorite.
