THE GAIAN PRESS - Issue 25.0THE GAIAN PRESS - Issue 25.0 And I got an idea for a Beyond the Box for next issue, which I mentioned in the Afterword. Bascially, people writing reviews of their English class. Just to see what everyone thinks of their education and how it relates to their writing (or how it doesn't). I wrote a short one on the spot, when I got the idea. I'll put up a thread for it when I can. I'll be busy tomorrow and Friday. And after that, I thought I'd mention that obvious thing that everyone here (all 2-3 of us) is reluctant to mention. ninja It's like that giant elephant thing, you know? Congratulations everbody. We've reached our 2nd Anniversary. surprised *happy dance*

Serieve Get lots of good submissions (even if we have to scout for them) I recently recommended to my friend that she submit a story here, because she wants some more readers for it, but I don't think she has done. However, I'm more than willing to go scout for some submissions - it was the position I originally applied for after all (and then I somehow ended up as a reviewer XD - albeit one who has been MIA for a good two months).
Speaking of which, I need to do this Peter Pan in Scarlet review - I've had the book since December! I renewed it once but now it's expired again and is 17 days overdue... sweatdrop
Oh, I posted in the English class thing ^.^ as you can see. I wrote a lot... sweatdrop
And yay for 2nd anniversary! (>^_^)> <(^_^<)

I'm almost tempted to start scouting, now. We only have four submissions. Normally, I wouldn't be worried. However, there seems to be an inflation in spam and the thread keeps on getting to, and staying on, the second- sometimes even third- page.

I noticed there was more spam. Lots of people posting in the wrong place and etc.
Well. I guess now is as good a time as any to announce that I'm seriously thinking of retiring. I'm probably not the only one, though. Doubtless, the other staff have noticed how slow the Press has gotten.
But if someone wants to take over, they can, and I'd be willing to help them and point out how things work and how we've organized everything.
*sigh* But I'll be a senior next year, and my time is getting more and more sparse. If I can't run the Press right, then I don't think I'm fit to run it at all. I'm hoping some other magazine or magazines will pop up and help fill the role.
Alicemae was really the only one fit to run things. I just continued what she did and occasionally modified things or added a bit here and there. Kept hoping she'd come back, but she didn't.
But two years is a long time. I'm glad.
So, I think we'll have 2 more issues, max, unless someone takes over. One issue to make the announcement (more) public and another to say farewell and thank you.
>.o I really hate to do this to you guys. Sorry.

s**t, not this too? Do you guys know that DEM just changed hands? It's gone all weird - new front page, new subforum names - and I'm all confuzzled and stuffs. @_@
I came to finally submit that Peter Pan in Scarlet review since I got a warning about the overdue book from the library today... xD;; so I guess that might end up being my last... sad That's so sad! Writing for a magazine is so much fun...
