Lord Vyce Holy crap. This sounds like the plot to a novela my parents are watching. Glad to know the truth. What happened to the other person? I'm not sure, but my source told me that I would receive her contact info in an e-mail after I've had a few days to cool off. Personally, I can't wait to put an end to this endless nightmare.

Do you know what you're going to do?I'm going to confront her about all of this and see where it goes from there. I intend to live my life and find someone that can make me happy and let me know more about life and myself.

Trich Dasgede Wow. I really don't know what to say. ... *hugs Koi* sad (Oh, and Vyce; thanks for the support in your sig!) *hugs her* Thank you, Chiku. I can only hope finding someone new to call my beloved doesn't lead to me saying things like "You smell pretty" to all the women I meet.

Is that a reference to something I'm not getting?

~zzang~ Yeah west side story. *Snickers* Sorry that was a stretch...I feel pretty oh so pretty... Indeed. That confused me further. Reminds me, though, of the times when people were singing that because it was in Anger Management or something. (the movie) I was giving them weird looks because I hadn't seen it, and they thought it was because I didn't know the song. In fact, I did know the song, and that it was from West Side Story (they didn't know this), and that was precisely why I was giving them the weird look.

Is that a reference to something I'm not getting? Well, it is a part of my first experience tying to speak to a woman. Once, while I was browsing around a bookstore, I saw a pretty girl & I began to walk up to talk to her. Her back was turned to me, and I began to shake and shiver the closer I got to her. As I got closer, I noticed she had a very sweet smell. So I walked up behind her and told her "You smell pretty". She looked back and gave me a weirded out look, walking away slowly. Now you know why I don't use pick up lines. Ever.

You can't sing that song angry.

Now you know why I don't use pick up lines. Ever. Pick up lines fail every time. Using one makes you feel like you are getting hit on (Which is what's happening but no one wants to feel like it.) I am way more receptive to a woman when she just sits down and starts a conversation with me. One woman just dropped into my booth while I was at the bar and havin a ball dancing in my chair. She said I looked like fun.

No prob, Chiku, It'll stay there until you get your account back. Let's hope it's soon. Have you gotten a hold of a Mod yet? Check the Captain's guild. It's in my guild list.
As for the pick-up line, you do realize that there's a context in there? The pick-up line wasn't what scared her, it was probably the situation.
Had you approached from the front, engaged in conversation and then dropped the line, it would've been more appropriate. the shaking and shivering probably didn't help, either.
I've gotten away with telling complete strangers "you have a nice a**/cleavage/face/etc.". Hell, I've gotten away with direct messages as "Yeah, I'd have sex with you.", but only because there's a how and a when for a pick-up line or a compliment. People think compliments open conversations. They don't, they just get the message across: I'm interested.
If I, who am not much of a looker, can get away with it, anyone can.

Wow, talk about drama and a half. To be honest, how can you even know any of it is true if it's all just over the Internet? Even via phone, even via person...people can and will deceive you. I was living with my ex-boyfriend, knew him for more than a year prior, and didn't find out until after a year of moving in with him that 95% of everything he had told me about of his life was a lie. To this day, he pretends to be other people on forums, e-mails, etc. just for the opportunity to stalk and speak with me again. It's sick. People who deceive on that level are sociopaths, and there are many of them out there. You can't be too careful, especially with the Internet.
(Lol, sorry Vyce. You can always contact me via AIM.)

Chuck Klosterman says the best pickup line to use in a bookstore is "Can you believe there are so many books about ________?"
Fill in the blank with whatever subject the books you and the other person are around are about.
