Ever could barely understand a word Akira was saying because she was talking so fast. But she did make out the basic idea that Akira had apparently found the room. Really? She found the room, without needing Ever? Interesting... She thought that the headmistress said that Akira and Ever had to work together to find the room since they were such good friends. This was the first time, that she could remember, where the headmistress had been wrong.
But this could be a good thing. A god wasn't needed to find the room. It was found without any help from the gods. So maybe she wouldn't be needed to guard what she was supposed to guard after all. Maybe her mothers were wrong about Evermore needing to guard something at the school.
Ever smiled and gently pulled her hand out of Akira's grasp and leaned back against the tree. Maybe she didn't have to play into the gods' plans at all.
"Well, good job, Akira. I'm really proud of you and impressed."
Her smile was bright and sincere, but she wasn't moving a muscle.
"You know, maybe you should go check it out by yourself first. I mean, after all, you found it. You should get to see it first. And maybe gods aren't supposed to be in there."

Akira's grin fell flat when Evermore didn't sound nearly as excited as the Dog Hanyou though she'd be, and told her to go in by herself.
"What? Why!! Of course God's are allowed in there! You remember what the headmistress said!! You need to only have a pure heart, and we do! And i only found it because of your locket!! Well Ares...But anyways, YOU need to take credit too, come on! This was our mission, Evermore! I'm not going in there without you!" she replied seriously, crossing her arms, her feet staying glued to the ground.

Ever arched both eyebrows at Akira incredulously and then burst out laughing. She had never seen Akira be so stubborn on an issue that wasn't all that important.
Ever shook her head. "Akira, I'm not going to take credit for something I had no part in. That's just.... really wrong. That locket is not mine, it's Ares', and it didn't show the room to me when I looked for it on the locket. So, you see? It doesn't seem like gods are supposed to find it."
She smiled softly at her friend. "I really appreciate you wanting to involve me in this, and I was excited to search for it with you. But I'm not going to take away your credit, Akira. You deserve this, and you should be able to see it on your own to celebrate your discovery."
Raven floated off of Akira's shoulder and flew over to Ever. She landed on her shoulder and Ever smiled at her.

After pondering for a moment, since Akira knew she wasn't going to convince Evermore about taking any credit anytime soon, she tried another approach.
Kneeling back down in front of the Fury and sighing softly, Akira replied, "Listen, the locket didn't show me the room...Since I was already in Aurora's room and she made the map zoom in, i was able to notice the extra light that wasn't suppose to be there, with just one quick glance, you wouldn't notice it. There was no label either, so i took a change and the shower wall morphed into the door. Please come with me? if not to take any credit...Just to be with me? Like i said, this was our mission, and i WANT you, my best friend, to be right beside me as i walk into that room, ok? Please? I'll beg if i have too, you know i will!"
The girl paused and smiled mischievously, before saying, "Plus, you know you can't handle my famous puppy eyes!"

Ever listened to what Akira had to say. The room was in Aurora's room? Well that was interesting... And Aurora could make the map in the locket zoom in? Ever couldn't do that. It sounded like there was more to Aurora than she was letting on... and maybe this was all directly connected with her.
Did Ever want to get further involved in all of this? She was actually being given an exit. She wasn't really needed after all. So maybe the gods would leave her alone if she knew nothing about anything.
But Akira was her best friend and she really wanted her to go.
Ever sighed and rolled her eyes as she got up. A small frown was on her face, but oh well.
"Alright, I'll go with you to the room, but I'm not promising I'll go inside."
She put her CD player and headphones into her bag, zipped it up, and then slung it over the shoulder that Raven was not sitting on. She then started to walk toward the castle, almost stomping.

Secret Kirari Eylios Ophi looked at Headmistress Krause as he walked in. His expression was serious, and his voice, grave.
"Setsuka may be back," he said simply. "That's all I could pick up from... Headmaster Enlil." Arielle immediately sat up straighter. "S-Setsuka?" No, why did she have to stutter? Why did Setsuka return-- how did she return? This was bad. Very bad. "What do you think has happened?" she asked, standing. "We must... we must figure this out, and warn the other schools." "Something bad," Ophi said unnecessarily. "I had no idea the boy could find it in himself to want to kill someone that badly." That part was more to himself than to Arielle, but it was audible nonetheless.
He fiddled with the hem of his sleeve while he thought. "I believe," Ophi began, "that rather than killed, Setsuka was only sealed away. If that's the case, then somehow the seal was broken. And, it would only make sense that once she was released, she would try again to conquer Mystic Fountain... she really did want that darn fountain..."

Score!!!
"Alright! Thanks partner! I knew i could count on ya!" she did wonder why Evermore was so against this suddenly...Had something bad or frustrating happened in the forest to change her mind? Because clearly, the Fury hadn't gone to go fetched whatever it was...
Well, Akira just really wanted to know what was in the lake. She had always felt drawn there, especially after her brutal trainings with Sensei, as if something extremely powerful and magical was pulling her in, provoking her Demonic blood...Yet, the lake had also always calmed her down greatly, eased her soul...Definitely an odd mix.
Plus, Evermore was suppose to guard and protect whatever was in that lake, so shouldn't she be much more excited...? Unless...
"Hey, Ever...Are you planning on quitting? You know, your job of protecting whatever's in that lake...? Is that why your no longer excited about going into the room?" Akira asked, as she walked back towards the school.

Albtraum Der Angst Musica led her quickly outside of the building, making sure to lock up and put up a sign of closing. There wasn't any business anyway. Walking her over to his truck he got in on the left side and gently closed the door. Taking out the key he cranked up the truck with a loud roar that shook the ground. He smiled as he rested his arms on the steering wheel, waiting for her to get in. (Sorry I’ve been offline! We took an unexpected trip to my Grandparents home yesterday to celebrate Easter early, but I’m home and chillin’ today. Anyone wanna catch me up?) Ari obediently followed, and clambered into the car’s passenger seat. Buckling her seatbelt, stashing her bag at her feet. ”Luli and Bo were doing a good job this morning from what I could hear,” she said, smiling. ”Is Bo always so shy?”

((Well, Rrine, the guild announcement will help a little bit. Here in Bai, Aurora and Akira have found the door to some sort of secret magical room in Aurora+Caroline's dorm room. Ophi is having a mini conference with the Headmistress, and, um... I dunno what Alb had going on, sorry. She hasn't posted in a bit either.))

They were on the 2nd flight of stairs now, and Ever groaned at what Akira said and shook her head as she continued to climb the stairs.
"It's not exactly like it's a job I can 'quit', Akira. It was why I was created, to guard whatever. I thought that all this stuff that dealt with whatever I had to guard could only be revealed or used by gods. I was wrong, though, so why should I have to guard something I don't even know about? Why should I be at the gods' beck and call if anyone can access all this stuff?"
Though, she was beginning to think that Aurora wasn't just 'anyone'. Maybe she was a god, too? Or at least part god? Maybe a god wasn't even required for all of this...
Finally, they had climbed the 3rd flight of stairs and Ever was walking to Aurora's room. She felt some magic coming from there, and she was frowning more and more.
"So, I just figure that if I am not actually required to do all this stuff, if my being isn't required, then why should I work at trying to find and guard something I don't even know about? Plus, if I don't know anything, the gods might leave me alone."
Ever finally found herself beside Aurora's room and she paused. "And don't call me your partner in this, please. I'm not. I don't know anything about it, I don't know what's going on, so calling me a partner is an improper use of the word."
She put her bag down on the floor and then held out her hand toward Aurora's room.
"Well, go ahead. I'll be out here waiting for you when you're done. I've got some studying to do to keep my occupied."
Ever sat down on the floor and leaned her back against the wall. She unzipped her back and began to look inside for the book she needed.

To say that Akira was disappointed was an understatement. She listened to Evermore and climbed up the stairs, shaking her head slightly, discouraged.
"Fine, not quit, but what your saying sounds like you just want to take a break or don't even care anymore then. She shrugged, before continuing. "Heck, maybe your right, maybe the Gods will leave you alone, if that's what you really want, and if your lucky enough."
Then she stepped into the doorway and glanced at Evermore, saying calmly and neutrally, "Fine, you right, i used the word wrong, sorry. You WERE my partner then. I was doing this for you by the way, to know what exactly nearly drowned you in the lake, but since you don't give a damn anymore, i'll do this for my own knowledge then.
And with that, she stepped inside Aurora's room and headed for the bathroom, glaring at the ground the whole time.

"This..." She wasn't sure what to say. "You should go talk to Headmaster Enlil. Find out the details. I--" Should she go with? Or would she only cause difficulty? "I will stay here. I need to prepare my school."

Ever simply sighed and turned the page in the book she had retrieved. She didn't want to hurt her friend at all, but her friend also didn't know what she was going through. Why force yourself into something if you're not even actually needed? You're not helping anyone, and people will just annoy you for information you don't have. If they learn that you don't have any information to give them because you're not involved, then they'll leave you alone.
Ever turned the page again in her book, hardly even reading it.

Akira walked in and smiled softly as she took in the cosy, shapeless room. Yet, she didn't feel quite as happy, obviously, as she had moments ago or would of been if she'd walked into the room before, instead of going to go fetch the Fury.
She signed and mumbled angrily, practically growling, "I'm back. Evermore won't be joining us after all. Apparently, finding and coming into the room aren't important to her anymore and she just doesn't care, sooo ya, fun."
The Demonic Feline could feel the anger rolling off of her master like tiny waves and raised an eyebrow in question. Well, that was odd, Kilala could clearly remember Evermore being incredibly determined, excited, and wanting more than anything to find the room. Now that they actually had, she wanted no part in this? Well wasn't that messed up!
"Find anything interesting yet?" the Dog Hanyou asked; the tone of her voice sounded defeated and disappointed, as if all excitement had been drained away suddenly.
