Batman could, of course, hear what Joker was saying to Deathstroke. Superman, for someone with super-speed you are taking a really long time. Then, of course, yet another person mentioned that he sounded like Wayne, which he did NOT, thank you very much. Terry had a sense of humor. And friends. And a life OUTSIDE of his costume. And mental stability. And... Maybe I could mix and match. ... Well that was an idea. If he pulled exclusively from people he knew in his time, gluing the techniques together with the familiar mesh of Wayne's style and his own, neither of his opponents would have any sort of home field advantage, as that little disarming move had proved in his earlier encounter with Deathstroke.
Calmly, he reached down into one of the pockets on his belt, and brought out a slim, short bit of metal. The next second, it had extended into a sort of...staff. Holding the weapon in one hand, he briefly used his other one to make the quintessential 'come and get it' gesture, a very small, very dark smile touching the corners of his mouth.
There was no further response from Deathstroke. Apparently Batman had kicked him in the head REALLY HARD.

Superman analysed the situation, whoever was in the bat suit was clearly out-gunned. Or was he? He knew that Bruce had fought Deathstroke to a standstill, but this kid had floored him with one well-placed kick. Superman glanced down at the unfolding scene again. Still, two-on-one isn't exactly fair... and Prometheus is almost as good as Deathstroke... and then there's Joker... Superman needed no further rational. Faster than a speeding bullet, he flew down from his spot in the building, Jammed the open-ended lead cylinder down over Joker's hand, Kryptonite and all, and then crushed it so that it dug into Joker's arm, and prevented any direct radiation from reaching him. "He's not the Super-person you should be concerned with." Superman said evenly, hoisting Joker up by his now-lead-encased hand.

((Hooray for strength enhancing suits! ... Sort of cheating, and Slade's probably going to be INCREDIBLY angry, but who cares!))
Batman did not look over, but definitely relaxed a little bit. About damn time.

Reaper looked down at the girl another moment, then out the alley at the street at something. Then grimmaced. He was back here? Great. "Alright kid, wake up time." he said.
There was a sudden and very sharp pain in Star's brain, and she woke up with a yell...and a few choice words. Once she calmed down, she blinked and looked around. "What happened?"
"The man in red knocked you out, your friend went to save his girlfriend, and the man in the cape absolutely insisted you be taken back to a cell. I tried to convince him to give you ONE freebe...and luckily he had other things to do. Unfortunately, they seem to be here, so I'm going to have to ask you to be goo-"
More swearing suddenly erupted from the girl. "What did I do wrong? Just tell me what I deserve being LOCKED UP for?!"
"Kidnapping, harassing..." Reaper started, flicking his fingers up as he counted them off.
"Well FINE! If they wanna treat me like I did something wrong, then I might as well really DO something wrong!" she growled, apparently not even hearing her uncle.
"You only get ONE chance...you just used it. You get caught again, I won't be around to bail you out. Hear me?"
"Yeah, yeah. Fine, mind if I swipe a claw or something then?"
Reaper stared at her a moment with a bit of a confuzed look.
"That green stuff that made the cheerleader go nuts..."
"Now why would I-"
"Because you're being good, I'm not. I'll bring you back whatever super blood I can. How about that?"
"So me letting you go off to do whatever, after giving you a piece of whatever weakens the supers...wouldn't put me on the naughty list of just about everyone?"
"Nope. I'll say I promiced to be good, but lied and swiped a piece while you weren't looking. Unless they're a mind reader, I doubt they'll know I'm lying." she said, then held her hand out expectantly.
Reaper looked at her a moment. She was serious. And she was ticked. After a long pause, he sighed deeply, then slid his hand through the front of his robe. "Fine. But I'm not coming to save you should you get into trouble. And I said that you'd stay out of everyone's hair." he said, breaking off one of his ribs (from the sound of it) and pulled his hand back out...a long wedged of green stone in his hand.
Star snatched it out of his hand and slid it into her belt like a dagger. "Not a problem. I only have one pest I want to bug." she replied. And with that she vanished.
Reaper stood there and stared for a moment, then shook his head. "Wasn't there somone else you said you were going to check up on?" he mumbled to himself. Honestly, she leaves the spider with....ugh. This is why he kept clear of teenagers.

Joker looked incredibly surprised. "GAH! What're you doing?! This isn't even your city! Go back to Metropolis!"
Prometheus looked the Bat dead in the eye. "Superman got the clown. Fine. I want you. One on one. Tell Superman to stay out of this."

Batman raised an eyebrow, the expression practically screaming, 'You have got to be kidding.' He had no idea who this person was. For all he knew, he was completely outclassed. And he was supposed to... what? Just say, 'Oh, okay. Sure! Let's have a fair fight. May the best man win,' apparently. Hadn't anyone in this time period heard of being realistic? However, all he said was. "Even if I did, he wouldn't listen. Better hurry up; looks like he's almost done."

Prometheus smiled a little (a rarity), and said, "As you wish." He ran three steps towards Batman, then in a single fluid motion, swept his leg out at Batman's, at the same time as swinging his sword in an arc in the oppostite direction.

Batman jumped up and forward to avoid both strikes, flipped over his opponent's head by pushing off of his shoulder with his free hand, and finally landed facing away from him in a fluid half-crouch. As his feet touched the floor, he brought the staff in toward Prometheus' back with a sharp, almost stabbing motion. Even as he did so, he silently admitted that this wasn't good enough. He was moving too much like himself, albeit with a little 'spear' work from Stalker thrown in. Well... Superman was RIGHT THERE. It probably wasn't anything to be terribly concerned about at that point.

Prometheus was a little surprised at the jump, but beyond that, the next attack was no surprise at all. He spun around as soon as Batman had let go of his shoulder, and was prepared, sword in the staff's way. he weaved a little to the side, trying to get on the inside of Terry's strike area. If he could do that, then even if Batman hit, it wouldn't be as strong as it could be.

Okay... That hadn't worked very well, as he'd feared. The staff connected, but as Prometheus had intended, it didn't connect very solidly... Which was to say that it still packed a decent punch, considering the fact that Terry's strength was enhanced, but it didn't knock him off balance by any means. Damn... This person obviously knew Batman. On the other hand, the guy's sword wasn't sharpened down to being a single atom thick on the blade, so how difficult could this be? ... If he never saw that sword again, it would be too soon. Okay, fight in perspective. He was doing fine.
Since the sword was already holding off the staff, Batman just turned and slid it down a little so that it caught just under the blade. Then he flipped his staff. If his opponent concentrated on hanging onto his weapon, he was likely going to get knocked in the head with the end of the staff... and if he tried to dodge the strike, he was going to loose his weapon. If Terry could get rid of the sword...

{Enter Strange from Unknown}
Without warning, Strange appeared right in front of the pair. He didn't even glance in Nigma's direction, though... and he actually looked sort of... tense. "We need to talk," he informed Alcina without preamble.

Alcina stared at him a moment, not sure why he'd need to talk to her. Or why he looked... "Alright..." she replied. "Of what?"

"About X," he told her, "Something isn't right. ... Do you know anything about a certain god of destruction?"

Alcina's expression fell a bit. More for the fact that she couldn't seem to stay away from any topic conserning X. "Only one I know of would be Thorne, from one of my friend's worlds. That's about all I know of the man. Why?"

Thorne... that wasn't the name he'd given, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. " I dropped in on X a minute ago, and he had company. ... First off, he didn't attack me, which... considering..." He actually looked a bit uncomfortable for a second. He'd forgotten about that. "Everything, was a bit surprising. He didn't even TALK. His guest did, though." A smaller portion of the cold rage returned to his eyes. "Apparently, he's the god of destruction, and he encourages X to... keep doing what he's doing. He didn't say how he went about that, either, and he doesn't seem at all worried about me or the incarnation of the Wrath of God, who just showed up." He paused. "So to sum up, he and his 'council' are actively manipulating the little Chooser girl, and... I'm not sure, but I think they might be doing the same thing to X. Considering that," he concluded, "I'd kind of like to know what I'm getting myself into."
