Sumika asked, curious as to who the person she was looking at even was. And then something hit her, figuratively. "Wait, forget that. You two!" A small hand leveled a finger at Sumiko and Shinsei, before digging around and holding up an open scroll as if for examination. Not that there was anything to examine since she was reading descriptions. "Pretty sure it's you two. Err, the office told me to test you, and try not to kill you or whatever. Got a list of suggested 'activities' to boot." She added sarcasm quotes around activities, suggesting she had her own plans and it didn't really matter what they actually wanted her to do. "PS... oh, crap, right. I'm Sumika by the by." The additional introduction was hasty, clearly prompted by a reminder at the end of the scroll she was reading through.

The first attack missed, in this the one possessing Kyomei came to a conclusion, reassuring himself that one would not run if they had nothing to hide. Rather than follow through the sound of Sadayo's voice being projected attracted Kyomei's attention. For a moment the eyes changed back to normal pupils. Before they changed again. The possessed body of Kyomei would abandon the interloper. As it moved down to Sadayo in a shunsin. "What do you know of my daughter? You promise change and in these five years the only change has been your kinds own self-destruction. Now my daughter endures the mistakes you've made. Had she never left the Land of Tea. Had she never associated herself with your ilk. None of this would have happened. She would not have made such a convoluted seal. Now she is left with none. Shinobi the root of it all. It was clear now Kyomei's body was not her own. She had last said she was going to speak with her father and it seems through the spiritual mumbo jumbo he was none to pleased about what had happened. Of course spirits often did things in the extremest of fashions when their minds were clouded, and clouded was the mind of Kyomei's father having returned to the living realm spiritually to find her daughter in dire straits. In this clouded state, her father seeing the end of his daughters life being the only sound option as oppose to her living among shinobi of which why had he any reason to trust. Looking to the trees it was clearer now the intent of which why the academy was attacked. To draw attention. The other shinobi of the whirlpool would be arriving to be rid of the sudden threat. The head of Kyomei now turning to Sadayo "and now your kind come, unknowing, and when they take my daughters life. It will only show to point that shinobi are inherently those who think only of their own and their villages." No doubt there was hypocrisy being spouted here. The strongest kind of hypocrisy, as the response forces started to close in the limp armed posses smol child would raise her hand as it began to take shape. Then emerging from it another dragon of lightening headed towards the response team. What Kyomei had done was essentially the equivalent of firing a gun at an officer. The implications that lethal force should be authorized and with those trained not to second guess and with Kyomei not wearing any headband to imply she was a whirlpool shinobi before they could be convinced otherwise. One would rid the dragon. The other two would send decapitating air waves towards the smol girl informing Sadayo to move quickly. Though the smol girl, weighed by her fathers intents would certainly not move. If nothing were done. She would die, and her father would validated in Shinobi were solely being prone to kill.

The shinobi cocked a brow, glancing to Sumika with some disquiet. The office? A test? He wasn't really... entirely certain, but he supposed the two of them had nothing better to do while they waited for -- all that. And Shinsei definitely didn't want to spend his down-time doing more classroom cleaning.
"Okay," he simply replied. "Well... uh, hello, Sumika. I'm Shinsei Sanada. This is Sumiko Uzumaki. Actually -- is it Sumiko Uzumaki?" Shinsei questioned, glancing to his compatriot. "Well, anyway. What's the test? Hopefully nothing too unexciting. The standard has been entirely set to the exceptionally exciting." He spoke with, of course, an aura of sarcasm.

In the midst of conversation, the sound of footsteps slowly closing in on the room would make itself apparent. At first, it may not be that important in terms of involving the ones that sat speaking within the class until the footsteps stopped in front of the room. After a few seconds of silence from the outside, the door would slowly slide open, and in walked a younger male. Sporting a mong kol, or in other words, a head piece that those who dedicated their active lifestyles to taijutsu specifically would wear, alongside a tan shirt, black pants and shoes. His eyes scanned the entire room, analyzing those who currently resided inside.
This was a touch 'n go game concerning whose morals are morally better than the others. Words alone appear to be as weightless as Kyomei's bitter ghost-dad. At least the gate was gone but the remaining request through the genjutsu fell through. Ghost-dad was angry and apparently ready to say anything to provide enough reason to promptly remove any room for Sadayo to speak. Anything else she could say would require time into her thoughts and probable a philosophical warping of ideas that would borderline becoming nonsense. Sadayo offered nothing to "correct" him but one thing the spirit said stung significantly. The question of Kyomei's safety was answered blindly, however being out of love.

As Nirami was steered to open its hulking arms, as if to grab Kyomei, a quick succession of Sadayo's puppetry followed through as the obscured iron doors of Nirami's chest opened in front of Kyomei. A cable came from the chest cavity to go to wrap itself around her form and forcibly move her into the puppet's capture device . The function of Nirami's right leg was activated too. Sadayo made certain to revert the direction of its leg to meet at least one incoming attack. Its mechanism should handle at least one of the two incoming waves of wind. The second incoming blow was to be addressed head-on by Senzankou the pangolin puppet. Sadayo herself. The pangolin was rolled into a ball, as the doors on the samurai were closed shut, and positioned to take the additional wind technique.
"I would risk my creations, the tools of my survival, to shield your daughter so long as she is in my reach. If that doesn't satisfy you then you can haunt the name of Soga 'till some farmer jabs me to death with a pitchfork and puts me on the same plain as you." This was no magical remedy for anger. There is no magic remedy to gain one's trust. An honest remark of what Sadayo felt was truthful enough to say it and feel it motivate her to dive into the wind. The wind attack, given that it hits, would rattle the pangolin puppet and chime the shakujo.

She preferred the silent implication that someone would magically assume the puppeteer considered ordinary Kyomei her best friend just based on the... well.. Sadayo just liked Kyomei best. A good feeling came from saying more than thinking about the kyomei-related sentiments which Sadayo held. After the winds would disappear would Sadayo open the puppet's cage doors. Kyomei's body would still have the cable about her form as she's plucked from the safety of the cage.

While behind the girl Chie rose her elbow and launched an elbow bash at her. The speed and strength in which she did so would make it hard for the smol girl to dodge or block. Not to mention, the ninjutsu coating of her body made the attack all the more challenging to negate with ninjutsu. Chie’s attack was strong, but it was not meant to kill. She only wanted this girl incapacitated and bound so that she could resume her work at the academy.

Still ignoring the edgelord showdown, Sumiko had almost fallen asleep in her chair as she sat waiting for Chie to return to the classroom. Just as her eyes were about to close for good, a panda appeared in her line of vision. Blinking for several moments, Sumiko simply stared at the giant bear that was now in the middle of the academy. Sumiko rubbed her eyes several times before deciding that the bear was in fact real or that she been killed by the edgelords and was now in the afterlife. Sumiko was so busy looking at the bear that she almost didn't notice the person sitting on it like it was some kind of beast of burden.
It had seemed that some mysterious higher power was aware that Chie was engaged by the edgelords and sent someone to replace her temporarily. What was even more bizarre was the person practically had the same name. Raising a hand and waving once in a rather lazy manner, Sumiko responded to the super hyper version of herself. "Hello SumikAAAA, I'm SumikOOO. Mind explaining these Activities before I fall asleep again?"

Jun ambled in to the academy, wiping away the fatigue from her eyes with one hand. She stifled a yawn and pretended the growing hunger in her wouldn't be too much of a distraction. Today had already become far more draining than ninety percent of her regular life. She had actually put herself to the grindstone and hashed out a few techniques. Sure they were basic, but far more than she was used to doing all at once. Then the long a** walk from the lake to the academy had only served to add another level of exhaustion to her. It was almost with a groan that Jun pushed open the door of the building, entering in to the main hall. She passed by classroom after classroom, only catching a brief glimpse of some fight happening before ultimately deciding not to care about it. There was only so much room for care in her at the moment and she was spending it all on actually being an active member of society today. Active, just not observant.
Jun wasn't paying attention to where she was going and smushed right up against a guy standing in a doorway. He was taller than she was by a couple of inches, definitely thicker along the muscles. Jun was slight, fair of skin and had this gaze that made her seem like she was always dreaming. The girl bounced off of Ezra and stumbled back one personal space bubble. "Oh, sorry about that. I didn't notice you, I was too busy staring at my feet." She would pass by him, angling herself so they could both fit through the door. Jun plopped herself down in a chair and faced him again, realizing she didn't recognize him. "Hiya, I'm Jun. I haven't seen you around here before, have I? I feel like I'd remember you." Her voice was gentle and pleasant, like having a conversation with an old friend. A faint smile played at the edge of her lips. Jun was in a decent mood today, if a little tired.

At body ranks D and C users of this discipline able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -1 rank deduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill if you know the technique that was used. This only works for techniques which originate within the sensory area of the user.

The bear responded by licking her with enough force to cause the kunoichi to stumble, and then wandered back out into the village. "Alright me with an O at the end and... err... Shins. Task one, hit me with projectile thrown as hard you can. Make sure you don't miss." She said as she chucked the scroll full of instructions in a nearby trash bin.
1) Answer out of character (OOC) what system you would use to apply a rank value to these projectile attacks, and how they would fair if clashing with ninjutsu.
"Task two, perform a ninjutsu of any kind, if you don't have any in your arsenal for whatever reason, choose one from this scroll and attempt it." Sumika continued, producing what looked to be an exact copy of the scroll she'd just chucked in the trash and setting it on the desk.
2) OOC, explain what the elemental strength or weakness of one of your chosen ninjutsu elements is, and what would happen during a clash of same-ranked jutsu.
"For task three, explain to me what rank is required to advance beyond the status of Initiate in Konoha's VORTEX special forces." Her voice was rather chipper as she knelt down, and pressed her hands against the floor of the building, resulting in, well, nothing happening.

Just as Sumiko was about to begin answering the questions of the test, she seemed to find herself floating in mid-air, along with literally everything in the classroom. It seemed that this wasn't going to be an easy Q and A session. Well, two could play this game. "You said to hit you with a projectile huh?" Sumiko would kick off the floating desk behind her, grabbing onto the floating desk in front of her, pushing it toward Sumika has hard as she could. She noticed that as she threw the desk, she was forced backwards. (something, something newtons law of motion.)
As the desk hurtled through the air, Sumiko moved onto the second task, forming a single clone to act as a scape goat in case Sumika wanted to throw the desk back. The clone floated into a defensive blocking position to screen the real Sumiko as she continued to finish the exam. "You need to be Chuunin to join VORTEX I think, which means that you need to be Jounin to advance further, but sometimes you can advance as a Gennin 3rd Grade. And for Number Four, the best types of things to learn in the Academy are Ninjutsu and Genjutsu." Grabbing onto another one of the floating desks, Sumiko threw it towards the top of the class, using the force of her Formless attack to force herself down towards the ground. Touching down, Sumiko instantly forced a strong flow of chakra into her feet, using the tree climbing technique to seal herself to the ground.
OOC: Q1: The Formless System would be used to provide a value to the projectile class, specifically the Soft Physical Formless. Currently, my formless is E rank, so any jutsu greater than E rank would defeat my thrown projectile.
Q2: One of my chosen elements is Raiton, which is weak to Fuuton. If a Raiton and Fuuton attack were to meet, the Fuuton would overpower my Raiton technique and gather up its chakra, growing in power due to the Counter-Balancing System found here: X
Q3: D Rank shinobi can learn up to C-Rank at base, but once they have more than 6000AC, they are allowed to start learning B rank techniques. Found here: X
Q4: A supreme (+6) increase to a stat is effectively a rank boost, with +12 or a two rank boost being the cap. More information on DR is found here: X
Modifiers: • Double Sealing: At body rank D and C costs are reduced by five [5]. At body rank B and A, costs are reduced by ten [10]. Finally at body rank S and S+ costs are reduced by fifteen [15] These reductions DO NOT stack and override their previous totals (D+C -5, B+A -10, S beyond -15). • Double Sealing Class: Learn 2 extra Ninjutsu per post • The Uzumaki learn 1 extra Ninjutsu per post. • The Uzumaki have deep chakra pools: +60 Chakra or +60 Stamina. • The Uzumaki have great life force, reducing effects of all sapping jutsu to one-quarter their normal effects. • No restrictions on Fuuin, other than normal ninjutsu learning limits and rank learning limits. Personal Attributes: • Overwhelming Presence: Sumiko possess vast reserves of natural chakra inside her body. +100 Chakra. • Soft Hands: Sumiko has really soft hands and prefers not to fight in CQC, allowing her to trade Buki and Tai style slots for 10 Nin/Gen slots (These can be split between the two, it isn't all or nothing). • Do As I Command: Sumiko has moved beyond needing even single handseals to preform Fuuin and Uzumaki Techniques. Only simple motions and gestures are required, but stronger techniques require more full body motions.
She gave them tasks, and he followed each of them, attempting to remain on equal grounds with Sumiko as the two of them both performed and answered. Firstly, he aimed his view at Sumika, drawing a wooden kunai from his pouch as he narrowed one eye and focused. Throwing his kunai as hard - and accurately - as he could, he hoped to hit his mark.
As for the ninjutsu, Shinsei clapped his hands - not needing to perform handseals due to his Senju heritage - and created sharp wooden spikes from his body, drawing them from the surface of his flesh and wielding one as a thick wooden blade. It was Mokuton: Sashiki no Jutsu, the Wood Release Cutting Technique.
Third, a question. It was sort of obscure, but... "Jounin, or Genin Third Grade," he said. He remembered that because, at one point, he had been interested in joining VORTEX.
"Fourth... ninjutsu and genjutsu, because the Academy is geared to help us learn those types of techniques more quickly."
He nodded once. Then, the final test occurred, and...
Of course, Shinsei reacted with a typically stoic expression, even as the room became magnetized. His enthusiasm was legendary.
He clapped his hands once more, and a jutsu was cast: again, Mokuton: Sashiki no Jutsu. Instead of a sharp blade he formed a gnarled, black branch, extending to the edge of the classroom to pull upon the edge of the doorknob. Bringing him closer to a surface to walk on, Shinsei planted his feet firmly into the wall, using the Tree Climbing technique to keep himself grounded.
"Uh, that good?" he asked.
[Q1: The Formless System. You can use Soft Physical for generic 'throwing' but also Projectiles as a Formless type for specific projectile weapons, such as kunai. You can apply stamina to a formless attack to rank it, at which point the interactions vary based on rank. For example, a D rank projectile formless would surpass an E rank ninjutsu technique.
Q2: One of my elements is Suiton, which is weak to Doton. Due to the counter-balancing system, a Doton technique of equal rank would over-power and absorb the chakra of my Suiton technique.
Q3: Genin can learn up to C-rank jutsu at base, but at 6,000 AC can learn B-rank techniques. Genin second and third class, as well as first, have their technique ranks determined by their body rank. It is all dependent on their AC.
Q4: A supreme increase is essentially a rank boost in terms of modifiers and interactions. If you are striking someone with a D rank simple attack but have +12 speed, they will need to perform a B rank X-ranked Dodge technique to dodge it, or - dependent on their reflexes - they can counter-act your speed boost. Stats typically have counter-stats; for example, a supreme rank boost to strength can essentially be nullified by supreme fortitude. These are just a few examples. The passive cap is +12.]

A wave of sand caught the desk with a flick of Sumika's wrist and she snatched the wooden kunai casually as she hopped up onto its settling surface. "Congratulations, you both passed the important parts of the test. So lesson numero uno is up, you there, person I don't know, surely you can escape the jutsu easier, yes?" Mr. Autolearn complied, dropping to the floor without the need for fancy tricks. "If someone grabs you, and they're stronger, you're screwed. It's the strength of Taijutsu. If someone catches you with a ninjutsu, you don't have to stay caught, though. Now..." She began patting her outfit looking for something before coming to a realization with a deadpan expression. "Ah s**t, right." She muttered, hopping off to dig through the floating trashcan and producing the scroll once more. "I'd give you mine, but, it belonged to one of the Hokage, so I'm keeping it." Sumika mused as she unsealed a pair of headbands and tossed them lackadaisically in the direction of the genin. "Have fun, don't bug Sanae too much." And like that, Sumika was off again, leaving in her wake a trail of destruction. In this case, a completely disordered and chaotic mess of a classroom that fell back to the floor as she closed the door behind her with a wave. This was lesson number two, Sumika's chaos was constant.

Suffice to say the possessed child was surprised, whether it was Sadayo's declaration of friendship or that fact that she was being protected in short may have been a combination of both. Her eyes became tame for a moment only to flare again when what occurred seemed to be a betrayal met with pointless struggle. This made the knocking of her unconscious an easy feat for the sensei. As with a combination of Sadayo's gimmickry and her strength there was not much room to defend oneself. The three memebers of the response team all landing with masks of the whirlpool covering their faces. The imminent arrest of the exorcist soon to come.
But her unconsciousness did not stop all from happening. From her body the entity inhabiting her would manifest fully before Chie and Sadayo. A serious looking man though it was absent of anger it did carry heavy dislike if not a sternness. He was transparent though partially still overlaying Kyomei's body, her body a conduit allowing this manifestation to occur and what also gave rise to the earlier assaults. "It seems all shinobi aren't as heartless as I thought, Atata. Though now I can think and present myself clearly. Aramana. Father of Kyomei. I will not deny I detest shinobi, but I place these biases aside for the sake of my daughter. Now that her lack of faith and self-loathing has separated itself from my detest before I depart I must express my concerns. Huntata."
The spirit looked down or rather inside himself to see his daughter. "My daughter no longer has her desire to live, the attempt on her life was more so her own despite it sounding as though it were mine...she is lost, upset, lonely." He would look to Sadayo, the one whom claimed to be his daughters best friend. His eyes remained steeled and firm. "and so I swallow my pride." The spirit would then prostrate itself before Sadayo and Chie but more so one than the other. "see to my daughters happiness in which I failed to grant, see to that she sees a ripe old age and life well lived..." Raising his head and standing once more the cold look in his eyes had faded but now spectral tears ran down his face though it desperately tried to remain stalwart in the presence of the shinobi he detested. "..and reassure her of our way. Death is only the beginning of life anew, and though she may feel alone I, among many others, will continue to live through the life that is in her...and that she will always have our love and protection, remind her, our reunion should not be rushed." As the man bowed what appeared was a collection of individuals whom dressed the same each varying ages and genders. They all placed their hands on the mans shoulders with warm smiles as they all seemingly vanished, he'd bow oncemore to the duo before separating himself from his daughters body to walk away. He'd turn his head momentarily to say one last thing. "Don't misunderstand. I still hate shinobi. Hatata." Ruining the touching moment. The man was gone. Chie free to return to her academy and Sadayo left with a smol unconscious girl with likely some minor head trauma. The three anbu would likely take her into their custody for interrogation among other things unless Sadayo somehow stepped in to convince them otherwise, as unbeknownst to them the spirit of Kyomei's father had only revealed itself to Sadayo and Chie.

Ezra stood watching the action that unfolded within the academy, absent minded to whatever lies behind him. It appeared to him that he was surrounded by a multitude of primarily ninjutsu users. This led to a brief out casting of himself within his mind due to his practice of mostly taijutsu. Oh well, maybe there are things that he could learn from these ninjutsu users. Possibly even things they can learn from him, hopefully he can fit in with the right group of people. Before he processed any further thoughts, a brief bit of force would move him a bit off balance. Recovering back to his previous frame, he would turn to see the girl who had just bumped into him.
"Oh! No it's fine, I kind of stopped paying attention to everything behind me, which is a dumb thing to do when standing in a doorway."
He let out a brief chuckle, laughing at his mistake as he took to analyzing the woman. She was certainly shorter than him, but not by too much. He began making his way towards a chair, finding one close enough towards the woman that had just passed him. Once she began talking to him, his attention refocused itself, this time away from the other class members and instead, onto the woman.
"My name is Ezra, but my family usually just calls me dot...or gray. This is actually my first day."

Jun nodded her head smoothly in response. "Dot? That's pretty cute.'"
She figured it had to do with his skin. It wasn't something the girl had ever seen before and it was so interesting. There was no hiding of her curiosity and interest. It certainly made Ezra stand out from the crowd. At his mention of his first day Jun refocused on to the conversation and gave this really ominous look.
She leaned in close and whispered to him. "First day? Welcome to hell."
There was an air of joking with her, it made the impression far less imposing than it should have been. It was pretty rare for her to take something seriously, so Jun ended up cracking a smile and shaking her head shortly after.
"This place actually isn't so bad. The teachers mean well and the students tend to be fairly driven. I guess if you put your best foot forward you'll do fine." Now it was with sincerity she spoke.
Her gaze drifted to the people assembled in the room. There was a sparkling cast of background characters, diverse in age, colors, and sizes. No teacher yet though, how strange. Jun shrugged her shoulders at the lack of guidance and turned back to Ezra.
"There's also a real big chance that you'll end up having to do whatever it is you think you're supposed to do. So we can hang out and wait for someone to show up and tell was what to do, or we can just go and do it on our own."
Jun left it up to Ezra to decide. She was content to sit around waiting for someone to make the scene interesting or going off to do something interesting with her new acquaintance.

→ Resolution: You are more determined to get fine details from your sensory techniques, but in order to get this type of clarity the range of your techniques is reduced by half. You are able to discover the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. At body ranks D and C users of this discipline able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -1 rank deduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill if you know the technique that was used. This only works for techniques which originate within the sensory area of the user.
