Malis knew that Kifo has gone and have no intentions on seeking a new mate, but she missed having children of her own, little ones that asked questions and saw the world with new eyes. Yes, she always had part in her grand children's teachings, and yes, she already had one who was almost ready to take over the Vitterfolk herd, but still, Malis felt like she was ready to have children once again before she grew too old. Short IC Response:Devicius looked back behind him where his sleeping mate lay. He could see her curl up tighter in his absence. Sighing, he took his eyes off of her and put his attention toward the star. It shone brightly, standing out in the sea of stars that made up the constellation. His voice was hushed when he spoke, not wanting to disturb Charlotte. "I have seen you glittering in the sky before and I did not seize the opportunity. And here you present yourself again. I would be a fool to ignore such a miracle a second time." A shimmer caught his eye, one of his trinkets shone magnificently under the attention of the star, and he removed it and carefully placed it in the hollowed dip of a large rock. "I offer this trinket of mine to you, in hopes that you find its glittering jewels to accent your own luster, and the feathers soft to the touch. I offer this to you, in hopes that perhaps you would be successful in returning my brother to me." He looked behind him again to Charlotte and smiled. "It would be good to have all of my family in one place."

Three feathers collected from the wings of his most beautiful companion. Short IC Response: Cedric strode out of the forest, cockiness evident in his gate. Above him, on a rolling hillside cliff, sat an altar littered with various offerings. A smirk tugged at his lips as he thought of all the fools that had come to offer to this obvious fairy tale. Curiosity had outweighed his common sense though and, in truth, all he came to do was to taunt those who had come before him. He did not believe in magic. For how could something as simple as a star grant a wish?
Approaching the altar itself, Cedric scoffed as he gazed upon the star. “I don’t believe in you. You are a fairy tale- a myth- a legend- something that parents tell their children to get them to sleep. But, ******** it, if you really are real—then bring me my sister.” Having said his piece, Cedric placed his offering down amongst the others- the feathers gleaming under the moonlight. He cast one final look to the sky before turning with a flourish, wings fluttering in the wind, his mind still doubtful of the wishing star’s power.

A purple, green, and blue beaded trinket with two feathers. One from Devicius, orange and purple, and one from Charlotte's hair dark purple and white. Short IC Response: The couple had gone to the hill where many others had gathered, whispers of miracles had reached their ears and with hope in their hearts, they went to the star. Charlotte stared around her at all of the couples, families, and lone soquili who had made the journey and felt overwhelmed. It was certainly very daunting. How would their wish be heard when so many had wishes of their own? She looked to her mate and found he was staring too, but he was looking at her. "Dev, I don't know about-" Dev knew that the crowd would make Charlotte nervous. He gave her an encouraging smile when she turned her attention to him. "Hush, love. There is no them. It is only us and the star. We are her guest, of course she will hear us." He put a wing over her and pulled her closer to him, sharing his heat in the chilly night. "My name is Z'en Gruk. I am a rather protective soquili dedicated in protecting wild rabbits from being eaten. They are like my companion and my friends. I feel at ease the most being around them. There are times when I cannot be there all the time to protect them but the days I get to do it. it feels really good. I have been alone for a long time now and sometimes I wish I could have a friend to talk to while I am lying down on the sweet soft summer grass while soaking up the sunlight. I am not nice all the time for the suti blood in me triggers my breed's instincts and bad temper. If a friend could come and walk into my life then I wouldn't have to feel so distant and alone from everything."

Short IC Response: Briallan had watched her and her family grow. For her it seemed so small still her children grown and on their own.. and in some cases.. with grown children all their own. Glancing to the star she sighed sadly as she daintily stood and left the side of her sleeping mate. She'd brought with her a few trinkets in hope that her prayer would be answered. Following the star, her coat seemed luminous beneath the moon's light as she passed from the cover of trees to the open before she reached the alter where so many had left gifts for their own chance at something special.
Setting her gifts down, she looked up after nudging the rose and leg guard into place with her nose. "Glittering star.. I know so many ask for things as you come our way.. My mate Is very big and strong.. But I fear he fears my harm should we try again to make our family bigger." She thought about the look of worry over Rakshi's face over their first and only set of baskets. "He means well.. But I am not a broken mare.. I hope to be a mother to little faces once more.. To hear the little scuffle of tiny hooves as they play. Could you possibly give us a sign to show us that all should not be lost?" She fidgeted slightly on her front hooves. She was nervous but not in her request. In her desire for more children she was steady. It was the thought that calling on the star was a long shot that held her unsteady. Her son the logical being he was had pointed out that the 'odds were against them simply asking' it was this that caused her to doubt. She thought of their family, so proud and accepting and she smiled softly. "Please star. Help our family grow."

I’d love to go on adventures if only I had a friend that wouldn’t be scared off by my eyes and my wings and my dust…” She finally took a breath and sighed, fluttering her wings to leave a pile of glittering blue and purple dust with the other offerings. 10 Things I Like:

Who is Wishing?: Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Chai waddled her way up the grassy embankment, her clawed feet granting her some assistance in this endeavor. However her smooth belly scales, meant for sliding, were doing just that, sliding. It was slow going because of this, and likely because she was trying to be very careful. The wooden ‘totem’ she’d carefully clawed with pointy teeth and viciously sharp claws was lodged in her massive maw. The thin pieces of wood splintering slightly despite how delicately she was holding them, perhaps she’d carved bits of the sculpture too thin.
However she’d wanted something that would be a good offering to the star, and they looked so delicate up in the sky. It only made sense in her mind that something that delicate would like delicate architecture. Admittedly the wooden carving wasn’t all that great or even legible but Chai had put her heart and soul into it. The female had spent longer than she cared to admit crafting the fixture.
It was supposed to be a rendition of a horse, and perhaps if one looked at it just right it was. There were obvious flaws but Chai was proud of it all the same.
Upon finally reaching the apex of her hill climb she sighed and flattened out for a moment. Despite what people may or may not think it was hard carrying this weight around for so long. Strong as she might be even her legs got tired, perhaps even easier than many might guess.
She eyed the alter or what others had told her was an alter to the wishing star. Chai gently placed the statue down beside it, as there was little chance of her getting it upon the raised dais. The wishing star would understand she presumed, after all it could see her right?
Angling her head so that she could see better she watched in the sky for a long moment. It shone so brightly, brighter than any star she’d ever seen. For a long time all she did was sit there and watch, wait, listen. What was she supposed to do now? Should she call out to the star? Talk to it maybe? What were the specifications for wish making?
“If you aren’t too busy, granting other’s wishes. Could you maybe answer mine?” She shifted backwards as she spoke turning from the star in a bit of shame. She felt silly, wishing on a star, spilling her guts so to speak.
As she was about to turn back around she heard the snap, causing her to whirl around horrified. Her tail had done it again, the stupid thing had lashed back and forth and cracked the wooden horse’s back leg clean off. With a painful little whimper from something so big she crawled back to the statue, pushing the leg against the other piece.
“This is why I need you to help me. Everyone laughs at me, they get annoyed, they say I’m bothersome. I forget it’s there, all the time. My tail I mean. I just want someone who’ll understand me, and stay by me anyway. I don’t mean to do it, I really don’t. I’m so clumsy, others hate me.” Her tone had grown whisper soft by the end, her head pressed into the cool grass.
“So please star, if you get the chance, I desperately want a friend who’ll stand by me.”

Two roses growing from the same stem. Short IC Response: Rosalyn didn't quite remember her brother, but then again, she didn't quite remember anyone in her herd. The herd leaders kept her separate from everyone else, for she bore the breed of her mother's fling and betrayal to the purist herd, who were all unicorn or Kirin, though sometimes a cross between the two. Her brother had been saved by luck, gaining the traits of their mother and so being the only of the pair to be taken into the herd with welcome.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. The few times I got to see my brother, I was the happiest I'd ever been. He accepted me without question, but I suppose they hadn't taught a colt that age of the boundaries that separated us, even as siblings. He had a horn, and I didn't. When I grew to adulthood, by their standards at least," Rosalyn snorted softly, looking down from the Wishing Star, closing her eyes against the unwanted feeling she had kept bottled, for having no one to tell. He may have been scary to others with his dark appearance, but he was her protector in the dark. A companion who had shed blood for her and kept to her side for so long....who she cried for nightly since losing him in the darkness. If only he could come back to her...

A gaggle of heart shaped accessories, scarves, and jewelry. Short IC Response: The Belrose sisters had been standing at the alter for close to an hour, arguing among themselves over how best to ask the Star, when Alayna took charge. "We've been here long enough, sister; I've done this before so I'll start." Looking up to the Wishing Star, the younger sister spoke; "You've been more than a blessing to me already, but I want to ask for your help one more time. We've heard that our parents finally have a son, but because neither of us have spoken to them in so long we can't see him." Alayna began to fidget, growing more anxious as she spoke, which prompted Marguerite to step closer. She offered her sister her support, and that was enough to keep her going. "If...if they've finally gotten their son after so many daughters then surely they'll stop trying to take my sons away from me. If I could just see him, see the Belrose heir, then I could put my worries to rest."
"And maybe," Marguerite added, "we can stop him before he becomes close minded like our parents. My sister is mated to another mare, and they hate that. If he's going to be the heir he can change the rules; he can make it okay for Alayna's family to be accepted into the herd instead of pretending like they don't exist."

Who is Wishing?: Ito Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: The wind was blowing ever so softly as Ito stood there upon a hill looking up at the magical wishing star. She had heard many stories of the good things it brings and so wished this time would be her year. She didnt know what to say to it or how to speak to it,for you see her lips were stitched shut. As she continued to gaze at the wonderous star, she slowly closed her eyes and made her wish in her mind. She wished for a mate, one who would accept her for her and could possibly understand her random sounds she made as her way of speaking. She was hoping for a Stallion who would in a way resemble her, so she also wouldnt feel so alone being that as far as she knew she was the only stiitched pony she knew of. She made this silent wish hopeing it would be heard even if it wasnt said with a voice.
