PastVanna knew he was an orphan from the get go, as his family was keen to remind him when ever he got to misbehaving too badly. However his start was a bit different than others.
The clan who had ended up adopting him was very image oriented. They wanted more sweet delicate and easily pliable children, which Vanna absolutely rebelled against. It was here that he grew up, with two other younger chimera sisters. It was obvious that they were treated better and Vanna was just groomed to help the clan, and listen to his sisters. It also didn't help his standing in his family that he was always getting into mischief and being told off.
However He could see however that this wasn't the norm for his race, that they were a lot more accepting towards males and he just had the misfortune of landing in a very female oriented family.
It was during his time as a freshling that Vanna saw his chance to escape. The youngest of his sisters disappeared and Vanna snuck out to go find her. This lead him to Asphodel fields where he saw the academy. Unfortunately he found Mai way sooner than he wanted and was forced to return back home.
He then started pleading with his guardians to let him go, lying for the first time in his life that he had a change of heart and wanted to use it to be a better asset of the clan, but even then Vanna knew this wasn’t the life he wanted for himself. Luckily they agreed and Vanna was sent to the academy. From there he hid what clan he was from and over time grew up and fell in love with his best friend and the world around him. However his best friend only wanted to use Vanna and eventually left Vanna heart broken and a bit cynical.
Vanna spent his junior years like this until he got over it and decided that from that moment nothing was going to faze him outwardly again….
Vanna ended up running into a bad crowd and to save his life ended up joining a mafia group. After a few years he had some how proved himself to be rather capable and he ended up second in command which was almost unheard of considering how young he is. However something has gone wrong with the boss and Vanna growing more and more pissed off at his actions as it endangers the men in the group. They keep pushing him to over throw the boss and take over. He also keeps butting heads with another chimera that seems to be the head of an up and coming mafia boss.
However a guy needs a break and against his better issues he signed up for the academy's big sibling program. they ended up giving him Eilwen a young chimera girl who had ended up mutated. Vanna could care less about the physical problems, he's just worried with how close she's gotten to him. Problems grew even more as Mai is at the academy as well.
PresentLuckily he managed to get through the academy and graduated with no problems.Then things really got stressful and Vanna finally had enough and took over the family from the mafia boss. Its definitely interesting running the show, although Vanna's cleaned up the organization quiet a bit. He doesn't handle drugs and he refuses to bring in children like he was.
'Family' life is going somewhat well. He's able to juggle both his career life and his actual family so far and to keep any one from knowing about Eilwen or Mai. He isn't sure what to think now that they are both dating. He's also quickly making friends with a grimm by the name of kingston... who isn't part of the family. Vanna knows he's playing with fire here but... he just wants that small piece of normalcy again.
It wasn't to come during a haunted hallows festival that Mai had dragged him to the world decided to tilt violently. Corrupted Hallowed attacked the surrounding towns and Vanna was forced to take shelter at the academy with kingston. It was there that he grouped up with an older Eilwen and Coco. The night was going somewhat well until a child slipped out of the bunker they had taken shelter in. After finding the child, the corrupted had attacked and vanna had ended up killing two of their members in front of his small group but not before three of them had been bitten. Seeing as they would become like the corrupted and attack others, the group tried to find a way to keep from hurting others and Vanna asked for Baum's help to look out for Kingston. eventually the others lasted long enough for the authorities to show up and Vanna was administered the cure.
Only it was a temporary cure and everyone who was infected was placed with a government spell to keep them from skipping the cure dose. Vanna took a back seat on being a mafia boss and just watched his famine grow closer. Watched as yami settled down with kids and Fon imbued a couple times. Helped his people who weren’t part of his family gain their own feet.
