"No, no, don't worry, you're safe here, I promise," Miko shushed her. She took the washcloth back and dipped it in the water once again before placing it back upon Hikari's forehead. "I'll be right back, okay? I'm going to talk to Mana. We brought you to my aunt's house, but they don't get along very well," she laughed nervously. "It probably wasn't a good idea to get Mana and my aunt together after all. We should have gone to the shrine in the first place, I suppose." She stood and left the room, closing the door behind her. "I hope you know that your shouting woke Hikari up," she spoke to her aunt and sister before crossing her arms. "So what is the problem?""Miko, do... do you know what that girl is?" Her aunt sputtered. "An FPD!? And you brought her here! What were you thinking, child?" "She's my friend!" Miko argued. "I wasn't going to abandon her! Without her magic helping us just awhile back, we would have died!""The reason the CPG attacked here was because of that... girl!" Her aunt pointed back to the room where Hikari was. "She put you in terrible danger!" Miko shook her head, tears coming to her eyes. "I understand, Aunt." She turned to her twin. "Mana, I'm so sorry. Let's go. Can you carry Hikari? She's awake.""Mana! Miko! I forbid you two to leave this house!" The elder Teru woman snapped as Miko gathered the other Reyvateils. Smiling sadly at her aunt, Miko wiped a tear away from her eye. "Goodbye, Aunt. I'm sorry to have caused you this trouble. Please don't interfere." Then she took Shion and Rinna by the hand, leading them out the door. "Mana, let's go. I don't want Hikari to go too long without me treating her."

Mana~
"Sure Sis." Without another word, Mana went into the room where Hikari lay. Seeing the Reyvateil sitting up in bed with a frightened look on her face, she offered a gentle smile. "Hey." She sat down on the bed with her back facing Hikari. "Let's go. I'll give you a piggyback." She hoisted the Reyvateil up onto her back. "It's okay, I know you don't feel good. Just rest your head on my shoulder. We'll be someplace you can rest really soon, k?" She opened the door only to be greeted by her aunt. "Outta my way." She said coldly, pushing past the woman.
"Mana! You're making a mistake. I forbid you both to go with that girl!" Just before she walked out the door, Mana paused, turning around. Glaring at her aunt, she hissed, "You can just go to hell." Then, she walked through the door, slamming it so hard the windows shook. The half-ling turned her head toward the Reyvateil resting against her, her attitude completely changing. She smiled brightly. "Let's get going! The sooner we can get you someplace safe, the sooner you can feel better, right?" She nodded to Miko, Nel, Rinna and Shion. "Sorry you had to see that, girls. Guess we can't always choose our families," she chuckled.

Miko~
Miko sniffled before bravely attempting a smile for her sister. She never was good at masking her emotions like Mana was. "Y-yeah!" She said, a little too enthusiastically. "So, to the shrine then?""If Hikari goes to the shrine, I shouldn't be there," Shion murmured, holding a hand up to her head. "We are too close. I don't know how much longer I can take this...""Oh, no..." Miko said. "What will we do? I don't know any other places that Shion could stay..."

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "Where is Aaron? Where is Gannon...?" Hikari asked, voice no louder than a whisper. "They are... at the clinic, right...? I want to go there. Gannon is... my Vanguard. He's taken care of me even when it's hurt him... I... I want to do the same for him," she murmured, resting her cheek on Mana's shoulder. "I want him to know... that I'll be there with him. Just like he is for me. Please... Mana...? Even if it's only for a little while... And Aaron... "As your other Vanguard, I have to respect your wishes," Mana replied to Hikari. "Miko, you and Hikari can go stay at the clinic. Maybe Hikari can rest there, too. She readjusted Hikari's weight on her back and started for the clinic. "We're going there first then, to drop you two off. The half-Teru led the tiny group through town to the clinic. Just outside, she set Hikari down on her feet. "You okay walking on your own a few steps?" She took Hikari's hand and brought her inside, waving to the nurse at the front station. "Yo! How are our buds? A human and a hornless Teru? Ring a bell?"
"The human is being treated as we speak, and we've yet to receive any more on his condition," the nurse reported. "However, the Teru is resting. We just dressed his wounds and he is up for receiving visitors, though he is still sedated." She pointed to a room two doors down. "In there. Please, don't be too loud."Mana saluted the nurse. "Thank ya kindly," she responded before grinning back at the others. "Let's go give him hell!" She snickered. The half-ling stopped in front of the door to Gannon's room and opened it, stepping back and allowing the others to go inside first.

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ The Reyvateil concentrated on taking each and every step. It was difficult, because she felt weak and dizzy, but she managed to make it. When Mana opened the door for her, she nodded in thanks to the half-Teru and entered into the room to see Melody holding Gannon's hand.
Blushing, she looked at her feet. "I-I'm sorry... was I interrupting...?"My Song is a Shining Light
Together We Shall All Unify in Radiance "Hikari!" Melody gasped. "You should be resting!" She cast a questioning look to Mana and Miko but then turned her attention back to the Reyvateil. "Well, now that you're here, I'm actually glad. I need to go to the shrine. To take care of... Zek." She swallowed. "But I didn't want to leave him. You're going to stay and watch over him for me?" She ushered the girl over to the chair beside the Teru's bed. "Here. I know you're still not feeling well, I can see it. Please don't push yourself." "I'm okay. Miko is going to stay here with me, so I'll be all right to stay for you, Melody." Hikari whispered. "I'll let you go take care of Zek. I'm... I'm sorry that... I couldn't save him..." She lowered her head, unable to look the other woman in the eyes any longer."You did everything you could. I'm thankful to both you and Rhaplanca for your beautiful Songs." Melody put a comforting hand on the Reyvateil's head, a concerned expression appearing when she felt the heat coming from the Reyvateil. She leaned over to Miko and whispered in Teru, "(I'll have them bring in some ice for her.)" She waved to the others and smiled at Hikari. "Take good care of him for me, okay?" Hikari smiled slightly back. "I will. I promise I won't leave his side." She then turned to face the sleeping Teru in bed beside her. She reached forward and touched his hand, gasping at the warmth coming from it. "Is he sick?" She asked worriedly, but then she realized the heat was all over in the room and coming from the bed."His magic started going out of control before," Melody explained before leaving. "So he wouldn't freeze the entire room, they decided to use Teru fire magic to counteract it." Understanding dawned on Hikari's face. "Oh, I remember... He gets like that when he sleeps." She turned back to Gannon and took one of his hands in both of her own, before leaning forward and resting her aching head on his arm. Taking comfort at the Teru's presence, she promptly fell asleep like that.

Mana stepped forward and engulfed her sister in a hug. "No matter what, Sis, we have each other, okay?" She whispered into her twin's ear. "I love ya, no matter what. I'll always be here for ya. I'll protect ya. So don't cry. That woman doesn't deserve your tears, okay? If you guys need me, just come over to the shrine." She pulled back. "I gotta get Shion to a place to rest too. I'm trusting you to take care of Hikari." She nodded to Melody, Rinna, Nel and Shion. "Let's get going, ladies! Bye, Miko. See ya, Hikari. Feel better." She ushered everyone else out of the door and shut it behind her.
Melody flagged down one of the staff members. "Excuse me. When you get a chance, they could use a bucket of ice in that room over there." She pointed to Gannon's room. When the attendant nodded, she ran to catch up with Mana and the others. The half-Teru walked out of the clinic, the others following her all the way over to the shrine before standing outside the door. She rapped on the doors to the shrine. "Hey, got sanctuary for some stragglers here?" She called out, knowing full well Ishira and Rhaplanca were already there.((OOC: Sorry for so many posts. I will be so happy to be able to get rid of a couple characters for awhile. x.x ))

"(Thank you)," Miko replied to Melody in the Teru language, not wanting to worry Hikari any further.
When her sister hugged her, Miko couldn't help but sob into her sister's shoulder. "I'm sorry," she cried. "I thought... I thought they had changed. I thought she had changed and... oh, Mana... I..." After a few minutes of Miko's crying, her sister released her and she wiped the tears from her eyes. "Yes, I'll take care of things here. Please, watch over Ishira and Rhaplanca for me, too. Okay?" She waved them all off and turned to sit in a chair beside Hikari, only to realize that the Reyvateil had fallen asleep slumped over on Gannon's arm. She sighed pulled up another chair beside the slumbering Reyvateil, closing her eyes and once again concentrated on her healing wind magic in an attempt to stabilize Hikari's condition.Just then, the door opened and a young nurse stepped inside with a bucket of ice and water with a towel. "I believe I was supposed to bring these in here?" She asked with a smile.Concentration broken, Miko opened her eyes and stood. "Oh, thanks," she said, accepting the items and bowing politely. She waited for the woman to leave before taking the towel and wringing it out. She placed it on Hikari's cheek, settling herself down to watch over her. She decided to stop using her magic for awhile, as she was beginning to feel fatigued herself.

Ina Ina look at the rest of the group separating and going their own ways. She saw Nereus just standing there and thought it would be a good time to interrogate hims about all he knows about a red head Teru. Ina stood up and said in a demanding tone. "Tell me all that you know about a red head Teru. Have you seen one during your travels with them?" Ina wanted to ask other questions but decided against it and just ask all the questions she could think of about the Teru who rid her of her eye. Blitz heard Ina talking to the human and was curious of what was going on. The familiar went around the human, inspecting him, knowing that Ina was asking questions. To the Teru, this was all a game.

Ishira opened the door to a room and let Rhaplanca in. She seemed relieved at the sight of a bed. However off at the front of the shrine he could hear Mana knocking. When he looked in the direction of the sound Rhaplanca gave him an inquisitive look, "It's Mana, she's looking for rooms for some of our other travelers," he sighed, "You go on in, I'll get the others settled," fatigue set in hard but Ishira willed himself to keep moving.
  Rhaplanca  "I'll wait up," she promised as she stifled a yawn. Ishira nodded and smiled apologetically and headed off for the front door of the shrine. Rhaplanca committed herself to change into her nightie. She sat on the edge of the bed with Yue i her lap. Ishira opened the front door to Mana and a horde of Reyvateils, "Come on in he stepped out of the way," any rooms down this corridor are open," he motioned to the hallway he just came from, "Rhaplanca and I are sharing the first one on the left," he noted.

"Thanks, Ishira." Mana said, scratching the back of her neck nervously. "Things at my aunt's got a little... complicated." It was the only explanation that she was going to give. She sighed. "Are you guys okay? Is... Rhaplanca okay? I heard what happened. Given how Hikari was, I can only imagine how Rhaplanca's taking it."
Melody entered in after the Reyvateils and bowed to Ishira. "Forgive me for interrupting, but where is Zek? I'll... take care of him." She squeezed her eyes shut and wiped away a few stray tears. "After all, I promised and it's the least I can do."

Ishira frowned sympathetically, "It's no problem, they'll be safe here," he glanced in the direction of their room, "She's.... in shock to say the least, but we all are," just then he heard Melody come in, "I understand how you feel, but you should rest first. But, if wish to do it now, I'd be honored to help you wrap him and offer the prayer tonight. Then there would be no preparations needed tomorrow and he can be mourned and offerings can be made at sunrise."

Mana nodded. "Shion..." She nodded toward the Reyvateil beside her. "She's another one, like Hikari. And the virus is making her sick, too. I gotta get her some place to rest. Thanks again, Ishira. Come on, Shion, Nel, Rinna you too." She led the Reyvateils away further down the hall, away from Rhaplanca and Ishira's room as to give them privacy. She led the girls inside and closed the door behind her.
She watched the others leave before shaking her head slowly. "I'll be all right. I want to do it now. If I don't do it now, I don't think I'll be able to later. Tomorrow, regardless, I know I'm going to be an emotional wreck." She laughed bitterly, rubbing at her eyes. "But, you really don't need to trouble yourself over it, though, Ishira. Miss Rhaplanca is distressed, most likely and needs her vanguard by her side. If I need you for something, I know where to find you."

Nereus Nereus turn around to see Ina asking him some questions about some red head Teru. He thought for a moment before speaking and then said. "I just barely join them. It's been like three to five days since we met, I am not sure due to what happen during the time I join them." He saw the Familiar looking around at him. "Now that I answer those questions, I would like to ask one of my own. If that is okay with you." Even before she agreed, he knew the exact thing to ask. Ever since they met, he been wondering; here and there about the red headed Teru. Nereus knew that it was because of what he did to her eye since he overheard Ina talking about it while sleeping.

 With a push of a button, her comm system crackled to life, filling the cockpit of her small airship. She keyed in a sequence on the console that would connect directly to the President's private line. Now, if only the pig answers...She had made it to her transport with no difficulty after retreating from battle. It had looked like most of the soldiers that had been deployed in the mission to catch the Reyvateil had been slaughtered. It wasn't a concern for her, though. They were replaceable. However, her side hadn't been the only ones to have blood spilled. She'd killed one, maybe two of her targets and wounded a few more. That would have to satisfy her for now.
