Caroline took the papers, smiling widely. This was it! She was a student at Bai Ching! It was everything she wanted, all according to plan!
"Thank you so much ma'am!" She curtsied again. "This place will be wonderful, I just know it!" Now, her third class... what exactly was it, and WHERE was it?

Arielle smile indulgently at Caroline's enthusiasm. She herself was necessarily an optimist or perpetually happy, but happy new students like Caroline always put a smile on her face. She was very much eager to welcome such wonderful girls into her school, into her family, and even a woman of her demeanor couldn't hold back a smile.

She went to leave the office, and looked last one time at the Headmistress. "Maybe I'll see you around?" Caroline asked brightly before pulling open the office door. "I'll go right to class now!"
((Hmm, so WHICH class should she have?))

Arielle nodded, allowing one more small smile. "Perhaps. Now run along!" She made a light-hearted shooing motion with her hands.

Ever had heard someone run up to the lake. Well, more like she had felt them run up to the lake. She felt the anger flowing off of her in waves.
Ever had been floating on her back, and when she felt the girl stop by the lake, Ever allowed half of her body to sink back into the water and she slowly swam over to the lake's edge. She smiled when she saw that it was Akira. Her back was to her, but Ever could still see that it was her best friend. She could see the ears, and it was just easy to recognize her best friend. She was her best friend!
Ever lightly flicked water at Akira, hoping to cool her anger off. She probably had had another bad class with her sensei. "You're out of class early, Akira. Things not go well again?"

Akira signed heavily as she was sprinkled with water, having heard her best friend's voice(why she was here, she had no clue), and turned around, whiping her misty eyes.
The girl mumbled a "Nope, not well at all..." and avoided Ever's eyes, starring deeply into the water. Her dog ears were flat on her head in misery and her tail didn't move an inch, but stay plastered to the ground.
Looking around once, the girl got up and threw her clothes off, before jumping into the lake and diving down, letting the cooling, refreshing water wash away her emotions and sence of failure. After a moment, she swam up and poked her head out of the water, smilling softly.
"Muuucchhh better, i got thrown around again, so i'm gonna be feeling the pain in the morning." she admitted, not looking forward to that one bit.

Ever smiled as she watched her friend dive into the lake and then come up with a smile on her face. She quickly felt most of the anger leave Akira as she entered the water. Water could greatly help calm someone down, and this was a magical lake, or it was rumored to be. Very therapeutic.
Ever went back to floating on her back with a smirk on her face. "Well, you just have to keep practicing. If you were perfect at sparring, then there'd be no reason for you to have to take a class on it. We're all here to learn something."

Caroline walked down the stairs of her school, staring at her schedule. How... ironic, actually. There was maybe only half an hour left of the third class, and... her third class was sparring. Nice. Caroline stopped in one of the hallways, to look for a map somewhere. No... oh wait. She flipped over her schedule. Not only was the Headmistress's note scrawled there, but so was a map of Bai Ching.
And there was a map too, mounted on the wall. But that was besides the point.
Caroline skipped the rest of the way downstairs, smiling at the other girls staring at her.

Akira nodded slowly and looked up towards the sky.
"I know...But i wish i could muster up more than a simple breeze already! Whenever i think I'm close to figuring it out, i loose it! It's like reaching for a strand of something and as soon as your fingers are just about to wrap around it, it disappears!" She explained softly, a hint of frustration obvious in her voice.
Magic was definitely a lot harder than she had hopped it would be...

Ever continued to float on her back but furrowed her brow slightly in thought.
"Really? Well, do you think you're psyching yourself out? I mean, maybe because you're always thinking you're going to fail, you do fail. Magic is very connected to emotions, and if you're really stressed out and trying to use it, it's going to mess up."

The half dog demon thought about what her best friend said for a moment, then shook her head.
"Nope...Like i don't think about failing, i'm focusing on what i need to do to stop Sensei's attack, what kind of wind i'll need, stuff like that, but it just doesn't work..." an idea popped into her mind and she grinned.
"Maybe I should try to meditate? Think that would help me connect to that power?" she questioned Ever.

Ever gasped and then let half her body sink into the water again so that she could stop floating on her back and face Akira. There was a large smile on her face.
"Yeah! You could join me in the early morning for meditation! That'd be great! I'd love to teach you how. It's a great way to quiet your mind, and to me, it sounds like your mind is getting in the way of just relying on your instincts and letting your magic happen."
She'd have someone, her best friend, joining her for meditation!

Miriam was... hibernating. She was just beneath the surface of the ground, drawing in water and nutrients from her many roots. If one wanted to find her, all they'd have to look for was a telltale rose standing alone amongst the barren ground her classroom floor is made of. She was trying to recover some of her strength at the moment. The sunlight still was scarce today, so she needed to conserve her energy. After the fiasco within her first period, where she politely ushered young Severance out the room (note: see tossed out flat on his butt), she had a tough time getting through the rest of the day. Grabbing and replacing the materials for the project she had took a lot of energy, up to the point where she actually started doing it by hand instead of the many vines she controlled. If it were a sunny day, it'd be no problem, but noooo... Stupid clouds.
Why'd she pick a cloudy day for a project? Normally, days like this would result in a lecture instead. Granted, that is boring for both her and her students, but it is better than the alternative. She even snapped at one of her students during her last class. The girl knocked over her entire experiment on accident, and she flipped. She thinks some of the vines were involved, but she can't really remember... All she can remember is the entire classroom looking at her like she was crazy. Way to go, Miriam... I hope I didn't scare that poor girl too badly. Or the class for that matter.
At least her afternoon classes took place in the greenhouse. All those sweet, sweet sunlamps... After she gives her students their instructions, she can relax under them until class ends. Maybe even her mood will pick up then. Her leaves rustled in anticipation of the warming light of the lamps, and also the sweet sugar that comes with it. Just one more class...
She felt the presence of someone new coming up the grounds, but, judging by the weight and the way the person walked, it was female. A young one too. Possibly a new student. Normally, Miriam would be the first to greet her, but she was too tired and cranky right now. She didn't want to give the girl a bad impression. So she stayed right where she was. Besides, Arielle would make sure the girl is well taken care of.
Damn. She was out of it too long. She didn't hear the bell, but she could feel multiple students shuffling around the grounds. The next class was beginning. Time to replace all the materials... Maybe if some of them came early enough, she could get them to help her.
((aaaand rose is back. biggrin ))

((Okay, for anyone who's going to get lost - Ed and I are moving ahead to just at the end of the third class.))
Well, sparring was somewhat interesting. The grounds of Bai Ching were huge, and Caroline had a bit of trouble finding exactly where the class was, even with the map. To find hr class took about ten minutes, so by the time she got there, there wasn't much time left for her to do anythings aside from getting to know... Sensei, as the woman insisted on being called. Alright, Caroline could live with that.
She walked back around the ground, searching for her next class, a science class. Environmental science in the greenhouse, to be precise. Oh, this was too, too easy. What was better? Coming from a family of science nerds, or being a dragon and therefor highly in-tune with nature already?

Miriam 'uprooted' herself, and began to gather and replace all the different materials for the experiment. She managed to take some of the minor things with her vines, but the heavier stuff she had to replace by hand. Luckily some of her students that shuffled in were willing to help. She just hoped nothing happened this class to really set her off...
((oh rose... the plans i have for you.))
