Noa thought her question over, he did not know if telling her he was too powerful would dissuade her from coming along and not attacking them. While saying so could be more than enough to convince her, it was a gamble after all but remembering how they could barley get near him the first time it was better than nothing. Kai chuckled at that. She doubted she could ever get herself feeling so very fuzzy and prey-like, but it was an amusing image nonetheless. "Oh? A sleepless night due to an unwanted and suspicious guest. Noa did not feel the least bit tired. In some ways it felt as if he were not even alive and after the incident with the army of ghosts, Noa felt that his assumption of being a little too different was correct in the beginning. As long as he learned his new gifts in time for their re-match with the strange man from before. And that was when it hit him. Why were they going after the man anymore?
Afterall, only Farrokh and Noa were left of the five who had gone against him. The body AVATAR had wandered off, and the women vanished soon after they set camp. And whoever the other man was never even stayed long enough to see the group formed. Farrokh was the only one still around, and he looked as if he were ready to depart on his own journey. In the end Noa would most likely be on his own once again, perhaps when that time came he would simply go search ruins for more hidden knowledge. The town could point him in the right direction hopefully.
The spirits were kind enough to give Noa knowledge to how to get to Usank, so he wandered quietly next to Farrokh and his wife, unsure how far behind Kai was. As for the child with the guardian spirit. Well who knows.

Boring, boring, BORING. Kai was rapidly losing her patience with this group of boring little people. Oh sure, mention of an AVATAR was rather interesting, but she'd been following up on these 'might be interesting' little tidbits for ages now, and still hadn't found anything to fight or play with. How terribly tedious.
Kai decided to make herself scarce before she did something she'd regret. She still hadn't decided yet if she wanted to continue playing 'friends' with this group and maybe follow them to a proper fight, or if she wanted to just play with them outright and damn the consequences. Right now, she was leaning towards 'play with them outright', but that was probably because she hadn't properly played for a good few hours. It didn't take long before she found herself on the trail of something that smelled of cat and bird and human, and hot desert sand... Unusual to find such a being in this place that smelled so of life and greenery and moisture, but it rather reminded Kai of home. With a little more brimstone and blood, it would have been just perfect.
The sphinx was sunning itself on a rock when Kai came upon it, and the chimera grinned wildly at the sight of its human face. Oh, its screams would be just precious! Her muscles bulked with anticipation, claws and fangs growing just that little bit sharper as she hungrily eyed her soon-to-be-prey.
