Suddenly I was very tempted to just let him leave for daring say that I was in any way preppy, but I knew deep down that Shadow needed him, and that anything Shadow needed, I was going to provide, even if he left before he could remember my name. And Goren was Shadow's brother, so I had better stop being so sore toward him or else it may end badly (Shadow may take Goren's side and help take me down if thats what it comes to). "You don't have to leave so soon, you know. Look, I'm sorry I'm sore toward people, but that's no reason to tell and run. He needs you. Therefore, though I hate to say it, I need you."
