((I'm assuming that the army Pokemon will not be available after the Jynx is defeated? If so, would there be any objections to my moving to Cerulean for some exp until the Arbok is defeated? xD))
Brayden watched as the Jynx continued to strangle Kaya. This was getting ridiculous... Brayden couldn't help but feel a bit more angry at the ice type. Not only was she leading an assault on the already worn out town of Pewter, taking advantage of the weakened state of the town to assault the peaceful city, she had the nerve to use his Kaya for her own personal curling iron.
Gin'iro cast a glance back at his trainer, seeing Bray was a bit hot and bothered. The water trainer could hear Ariadne laughing in his mind at the whole situation, but he paid her little attention at the moment.
That Jynx was going to let Kaya go, even if he had to roast the Pokemon first.
"Gin," Bray called, bringing the fox's attention back to the fight, "Fire Blast! Let's finish this!"
The Ninetales barked out a quick agreement, dashing at the Jynx, fur sparking with fire at his eagerness. The flames roared to life at the Ninetale's call, shooting ahead of the tailed fox to strike hard at the Jynx.

The Jynx stumbled, finally releasing her hold on Kaya, falling back in defeat. A moment later, she vanished into a red light, signalling her retreat back to her trainer, who was nowhere within range.
The surrounding Pokemon looked to where the Jynx had been standing, confused for a moment. But soon enough they also headed out in retreat.
It wasn't long before Pewter was quiet once again. Not peaceful. It would be a while before the town would recover from this. But for the first time in a long while, Pewter was quiet.

((*salutes* Right on. Thanks. =) Brayden needs to train up his party a bit. While even I doubt Bray's sanity sometimes, I doubt even the insane would go against Lance's plot with 2/3 of his chosen party under Lv. 20. xD

Brayden sighed. Finally there was a bit of peace in the city. He couldn't help a frown at the damage done. It was clear that Pewter had a long way to go before things were put back to the way they were before. And even then, there was almost certain to be a shadow cast over the town. It took many moons to recover from something as traumatic as this.
Brayden thanked Gin, patting the Ninetales, who accepted the caress with a wide smile. He got out of the fight with not so much as a scratch, for which Brayden was thankful.
Zeke and Mel had been watching the fight, feeling a bit out of place, but they had enjoyed watching the battle. After calling Ariadne out to heal her wounds with a Potion or two, Brayden headed over to Kaya to make sure he was okay.
Bray was happy to see that the rest of the attacking Pokemon had retreated along with the defeat of the Jynx. He made his way carefully over to the former prince.
"Well...." Bray was at a loss for what exactly he should say. What really would work when his partner had been nearly strangled by hair? Brayden was pretty sure that wasn't a situation run into on a common basis.
"I'm glad you're okay," Brayden finally offered, sincerely. He had still been worried about his partner, even though he knew Kaya would most likely have been fine.

Kaya felt the Jynx's hair vanish from around him, his eyes growing wide as he realized what that meant. He seemed to hang in the air for a brief moment before crashing to the earth, sputtering somewhat to rid himself of the taste of Jynx hair.
"I'm fine, Bray. But that Pokemon's hair tasted like rancid Mangos. I figured she belonged to a trainer when she grabbed me the first time. I could smell shampoo." he groaned as he climbed off the ground, finding his backside to be rather sore.
It didn't take but a moment to locate the pixel-pile Linux once he was up. "Crap. Looks like she beat him while I was out." he murmured as he prodded the pile for a moment.
"Linux requests that Kaya ceases that incessant action at once." The Porygon quickly pulled himself together and an inner glow showed that the Pokemon's processor was restoring energy to all parts of his program. {I.E. He used Recover}
"Think we should stay and help them rebuild the town or make sure the rest of the region is okay first?" he asked Bray as Linux returned to his PokeGear.

"So this was a calculated and planned attack," Brayden sighed. He had suspected as such, especially as he saw the types of Pokemon that were attacking the three cities. But Kaya's confirmation that the lead Jynx almost certainly belonged to a trainer put the final nail in that coffin.
"I suppose there's little doubt that Lance and the Elite Four are behind this mess," Bray muttered, spirits falling. How could they take on the top trainers in the region, along with the power that the blade had?
Brayden watched as the Porygon pulled himself together, literally, unable to help the smile tugging at his lips. Linux certainly was quite the character.
He looked up at Kaya's question, looking around the town.
"I'm not sure..." he murmured, biting his lip slightly, a bit indecisive as he looked over the damage to the city, "On one hand, it really does look like they need help here, but I'm also worried about the other cities in the region. The news alert stated that both Celadon and Cerulean were also under attack. I think Chloe and the others headed off to help out elsewhere, but I don't know if they have both cities covered."
"What do you think?" Brayden asked. He wasn't about to go running off on his own here.

"Given the state of things at the moment..." Looking around, he sighed heavily. "I think it would be best if we made sure the other cities in the region were under control and come back when and if things get back to normal enough that we can relax for a bit." He looked towards Cerulean with a frown. "Cerulean's closest so let's head there first and make sure that things aren't completely going to Hades." he looked to his lover and tried to offer a smile. It wasn't working very well, though. He knew this was his fault. He'd given up the blade piece when Notaro had had Bray under his control back on Stark Mountain.
Trying to turn his thoughts back to the task at hand, he felt a sudden rush of wind surround him and then he was gone in a flash, pulled through the fabric of space and time by the mystic forces of the universe.

Brayden nodded, "That makes sens-aaaaah!" his sentence turned into a yelp as Kaya simply vanished from beside him. Panic seized him momentarily, thinking that perhaps this was another plot by the Elite Four to attack the town, but a voice from Ariadne's Pokeball stopped him from freaking out. Too badly at least.
'Chill boss. It wasn't anything to worry about. Same thing happened with those other kids. There's something about that kooky necklace you found earlier. It seems to hold some kind of transportation power,' the Gardevoir explained calmly, knowing that there had to be a voice of reason somewhere along the way.
Brayden dug in his pocket, pulling out the amulet he had found on the train to Kanto.
"So this..." he murmured, holding it up.
'Takes you wherever you want to go,' Ariadne explained, sounding bored. Apparently teleportation was too common among psychic types to be considered interesting.
Brayden, however, held a bit more interest in the object.
"So if I think.... 'Take me to Kaya' for instanc-"

A raucous cry filled the air, as Zapdos descended. It was clearly enraged, although it didn't have anything to direct its fury on. Powerful sparks flew from its wingtips as it flapped, sending electricity flying every which way.
It sensed that something was wrong in the region, its fears only confirmed as it struck at the barrier surrounding three of Kanto's cities. Even the furious guardian of lightning couldn't break through the force, and that served only to enrage the bird even further.
So Zapdos descended from its flight, landing in Pewter. Looking for answers, and finding none, the bird broke into a furious rage, unwilling to listen to reason.

Upon arriving in Pewter Aku heard a screech. "What was that?" He asked, instinct saying to look up into the air. What he saw was an angry Zapdos. "Alright.. Articuno.. Moltres.. and now Zapdos? I know how to stop it.. Let's go Sudowoodo!" Aku said, throwing the pokeball into the air. "Sudowoodo use Rock throw!"

Zapdos retaliated with a peck, striking directly at Sudowoodo's middle. Sudowoodo took the attack and stood up straight with a grin. "Good Sudowoodo, now Use Wood Hammer!" Aku said, having Sudowoodo attack.

Zapdos finally quelled its rampage, considering Aku for a moment. It looked to the southeast, to Celadon, before scooping up the boy, plucking him from the ground easily, but gently, plopping him onto the giant bird's back before taking off. Wings gave off sparks as the bird took off towards the other city.
