"Well I for one am interested in some work. I have some things I want to show you, for security purposes. and we both need to have talk with Lillia, and maybe I can get a MAPS aranged with Raidiance for her. she's been far to quiet..not as..peppy? as before. I think she's taking this as hard, if not harder, than you. I'll need to go over security with Erik as well."
James walked over to the computer, and sat down, motioning for Jelena to jion him, and punching in a series of codes that brought up the image of heaven's gate, that was closed. Another window opened, another series fo codes, that brought up and unsheathed sword on a scale overbalancing the one it was on. andother window and codes, adn a another sword, surrounded in flames, by a metal sheath.
"I need to go over this with Erik as well, but these are personaly fleetwide security measures I implemented when the military was first on Fleet. they were emergency items, in case echoes ever got loose, or coudl survive in space."

Stepping over Tempset she went over and looked for herself. Though she shook her head and sighed. Emregency items in case of the Echoes? "Is my Project really that dangerous to everyone? Even up here I can't do it in peace..." It was true after all. She was the baby Project, and also the most unpredicatable one. Sometimes she wished she would of let ridicule qwell her ambition on this all.
One hand leaned on the counter and she rested her wight on her hand and arm. "Well with people blaming her, of course she's going to take it hard. She thinks it's her fault and no one can tell her otherwise becuase she won't listen to reason. The stuff in that article, half of it she didn't even know."
Another sigh, pushign hre OODDS to the bridge of her nose comfortably. "Okay then, what am I looking at here?"

"Heaven's Gate, the Sword of Damocles, and Micheal's Fire. Heaveans gate is the main entry into Raidiance. anything tries to leave or come in without authorization, that entryway lets them run into a wall of about ten thousand volts. enough to kill a human, overload a robot. and at least stun a good portion of your echoes."
"The next, the Sword of Damocles, are outside. each fleet hip has two type eight sword formation cannons, and about fifteen sword drones. this is in case of assualts on teh outside by say, military bridage or blockades, or in teh even the flying echoes can survive in deepspace. the primary concern being your dragons."
"Last, is Micheal's Fire. the entire air system on al fleet has within it special release valves of hydrogen gas. what this does, is you verify a place, it locks down the hallways with three inch titanium alloy blast doors, gases the area and ingnites it for instant barbeque of whatever is in it."

He got that particular look of 'I'm not impressed or happy'. "Gee nice to know that Fleet trusts me with this project isn't it?" Clear sarcasm in her voice. Wow...and here she was thinking Fleet was so much nicer than Earth too. "So all that in case I went mad and let loose my Echoes. And just to put you at ease Commander, they can't survive deep space...they need oxygen like any other thing." A little bitter? Maybe...they could of at least told her...
A tap of her finger a few moments. "So then what? Why is this so important for me to know? Expecting me to let my Echoes out on a sheer whim of anger anytime soon?"

"I put them in myself. when I first was assigned here, honesty, your larger echoes scared the hell out of me. Now I know better. the fleet doesn't know about this, nor does the military. Most of this was built and implemented on site, by me and some meta pals who have since moved back to earth. I do apologize for thinking you rechoes might be a threat. It was stupid to think so. But, I'm telling you for another reason. there's a very good chance that public pressure will make them try to come up here with military force to take or deal with your echoes."
He gave her a look at that. it wasn't easy to think about.
"I'm letting you know, becuase if anything that's not fleet tries to get on Fleet. I want you to use this is they are not still active then. and I don't care whom it is. it coudl be the damn president I want him eatting ten thousand volts before he gets on here without you, mine, or Erik's express permission."

Okay, so Jelena did find it amusing that her Echoes scared him in the beginning. Then again with her completion of her first Echoes and their mere sizes, she had impressed, baffled, or frightened quite a few of her Fleet mates. At the time, she basked like a teenager getting compliments from her crush. "I'm impressed you bypassed all the Fleet detention on this."
Of course a little hurt look at the mentioning of her loosing her Echoes. "Right...so if someone gets in without permission, kick in the programs and give them a what for." Another look to him, almost baffled maybe. "I know you're going through a lot of trouble for this, thank you James. REIII Fleet itself may be in turmoil, but I'm most certainly the one who's in the thick of it...I'm half surprised Radiance hasn't called me to Board yet."

"Radiance won't call you to Board until the pressure mounts. I've dicussed this with them. it's a way to help diffuse the situation. Let earth see that Fleet obviously isn't worried, hopefully calm the public. You can explain the level four lockdown as standard procedure, but bringing to to Board right after looks bad to the public."
A small smile.
"Right now to keep fleet from being taken over, they need to run a pr campaign to make this not look as bad as it seems."

"Now by 'discussed with them' do you mean actually talk or break some faces in, James?" But he made his sense. If she was called immediately to Board then it would look like an instant accusation to something being horribly wrong, or horribly top secret...adn Earth would spaz even more over that she supposed.
"Right in other words...they'll get me later." A shake of her head and a sigh. They weren't stupid either, they knew some of that information only she knew really.

"Good luck at getting hold of Erik. I can't even get a moment with him. Apparently him being FS overides him being my assistant when Fleet goes above level two security. The only real way I've been getting to him is through emails. Other than that its like pulling teeth...
Leaning her weight on one hand aagin. "As far as Lilia...hopefully you didn't fuss her out so badly that she doesn't want to be around us anymore. Yes, Erik told me you fussed her out and for lack of a better word, manhandled her."

"I can get Erik here with one message on teh GODDS. As for Lillia..yes..I got rough with her. I lost my cool. but she did take it well I thought. consdiering I very well coudl have killed her."
That came out a little too casual, didn't it. well, military training...killing at one time literally was his job.
"But we can get him here to see this. it's pretty important I woudl think. especially if any of the security try to leave radiance without one of us three knowing about it."

"Then I guess you should get him then, shouldn't you? I'm sure I'd be ignored. My security lackeys informed me that I wasn't to use the GODDS that all of my information had to filter them first before anyone got called...it's quite frustrating to get anything to anybody. They have my head on the chopping block in some ways and they're just looking for a reason to drop the ax."
Though a sigh and a shake of her head at him. "James, you have to stop roughing people up...I don't remember hearing about you being so rough and tumble before." Sure, she didn't see him as much but they had worked close a few times because of Roselyn. "Right now you know Radiance is looking for any reason for anything...I don't want them to have a reason to incarcerate you."

James shook his head.
"I was furious. It won't happen again though."
Then his finger hit the GODDS button, making an announcement.
"Erik, please report to Doctor Trevale's office. you have a class three securtiy issue here that needs addressed. I repeat, class three security issue that needs addressed, come at once to Dr. Trevale's office."
Then a small grin to Jelena.
"If that don't bring him here, they got him on a leash and chain somewhere else."

"Good...because if it happens again...I'm hitting you the head with your own hand, quite literally." And she would do it to, and he knew it. But it was nice to see that she was throwing violence threat jokes again.
No, it didn't take Erik long to get away from his hounding little lackeys of Fleet Security and make it back to Envision and then Trevy's office. Of course, he wasn't dressed for science anymore. No lab vest, no casual clothes. Full security gear on this man now. He hated it, naturally.
A look between them both. "Plese don't tell me you're using the GODDS to make false claims...don't need any more fussing and whining on my plate..." A slight sigh and a scratch at his neck. "So, what do you want? Trevy need a hug?" Well Erik was back in better spirits as well, wasn't he?
"James has some special security to show you." And she motioned him over.

"I have three personally implemented security measures. Originally to prevent massive damamge from potentially dangerous escaped echoes becuase I was foolish and thought they were a threat."
Again going over the three systems, and what they did with Erik.
"Like I told Jelena, these are operational right now. I've been monitoring via a communication link update in my head, which is why there have been no accidents yet. But I'm not going to be able to maintain that all the time, lest someone stumble on it. so I'm letting you know."
A serious look to him.
"Nothing comes in or goes out of fleet without one of us saying so. I don't give a rat's a** what Radiance thinks about it. the deals done. I have my own personal encrypted overrides so even if they find the codes from you and Jellybean, I can keep these systems active. If public pressure gets to a point that the military comes here, I don't want them getting one foot on fleet without heavy casualties. Do we all understand that? I want to see bodies sprawled about before one military soldier or drone even sets a foot on envision."
