Yea... to be honest, I really don't see the point in having Shouyin know shadow arts as well now.
Like going from one end of the spectrum to the next.
Now he doesn't have enough room in his skill set to learn from Toph.

Now he doesn't have enough room in his skill set to learn from Toph. HAHAHA LOSEEEEE! He can respec when they put out the new metal abilities in the expansion.
