. "Family? Uh... yea." Juno took a moment to think about her mother and her father smiling absently. "My Father plays tennis professionally, though he is thinking of hanging up his racket soon, and my mother is a model." Juno said, she felt this surge of pride that she never really had before, she hadn't ever been asked about her parents, so she didn't realize how proud talking about them would make her feel."People say, that I got my looks from my mother, except uh....for these" She said waving her hand over her freckles."I got these, and my height from my father. Eyes too...." Juno added that last bit as an afterthought.
"Everyone thought that I would follow in one of their footsteps, but I always wanted to draw, instead of play sports, or walk on a runway, or pose for magazines. People said I was wasting my gifts, but my parents stuck up for me, they'd rather I be happy than for me to be their little prodigy, so they supported my art. I think that's the only reason I've had any success at all." Juno said with a small smile.

Juno managed a soft smile when Sloane said that she had got the best of both of her parents. She had come too terms very slowly with the fact that Sloane found her attractive, at first Juno had thought the idea to be rather ludicrous, but she was slowly starting to come around to the idea, maybe it was all of the confidence boosting that she had received from Sloane and her own efforts to appear more confident as well. By simply believing that she could be more confident, she in turn became more confident, and she found that she no longer found herself unattractive, and that she could see now how someone might find her attractive. It felt awesome. She honestly wanted to break into a little dance. "Thank you." Juno said without even realizing that she had spoke.
As the words left her mouth, she realized that she was thanking Sloane for more than just the compliment. There was a sure of emotion in Juno's chest, and in her eyes, she got choked up for a second, but she quickly collected herself between a large sip from her coke.
"Everyone needs support," Juno said softly, she had more she could say on the topic, because a person like herself couldn't live without the support of her parents, she wouldn't have had the confidence to do much of anything, and even though in the end, all her parents faith in her bought her was the ability to show her work, it had still put her in a position to meet Sloane, and have her confidence boosted in that way. It could also be pointed that being put at Whitherton, had gotten her bullied by Ely, but Juno liked to focus on the positive.
Like Sloane catching the bill. Juno had a tab and was very willing to pay for this meal, but Sloane had slipped it away from her before she could even react, she smiled a little it was very sweet of her to do so, though her casual follow up question while she was signing the bill, brought Juno a bit of pause. "Meet my parents? Sure... as a friend?" Things between her and Sloane had moved in strange ways, Juno wasn't sure exactly what they were anymore.

Juno frowned softly. Maybe she was asking for too much too soon. Moving faster than she should be, and much faster than Sloane was comfortable with. If Juno were to be honest, she was being very reckless and more than a little selfish, with the way she acted towards Sloane. She was very demanding of the girls attention.....but didn't Juno admit to Sloane that this was in fact the way she was? She did remember telling the girl that she was a bit clingy. Juno bit her lip, clearly lost in thought, her amber eyes going distant for a moment.
She knew. Perhaps subconsciously that this wasn't what Sloane was referring too with her caution. Juno was claiming that she was ready too throw all risk to the wing and just jump at this. Whatever this was, and Sloane had been very specific in telling Juno that she was dangerous. Hell Juno had learned first hand that Sloane wasn't just telling her that for show. But for some reason, Juno wasn't as afraid as she should have been....like she used to be.
Stepping forward Juno placed her hands on Sloane's hips gently, looking down at the shorter girl, pulling her slightly closer. "I truly mean it, when I say that I like you a lot, and I really want too ignore all of the bad outcomes that are swimming around in your head, and mine as well, and just go for it." Juno reiterated, before leaning forward, speaking her voice a bit more husky than usual. "I've had feelings for you, for a while now, before we had even met. I've had dreams about you, being as close to me as we are now, and even closer. Maybe that's why I'm so eager to leap at this. I can see now by the frown on your face that this is all rather selfish of me." Juno said, releasing Sloane and stepping back. "I know there is a lot of things that you want to keep from me, in order to protect me, and I really appreciate that. Even if it means there will be a bit of distance between us, that personally I do not like. But I'm happy to stay as friends, if that is what you think is best. Truthfully, friends is better than anything I've ever dreamed of."
In the end. Juno was a coward at heart. She had a gut feeling that Sloane was calling her to action with her statement. Telling her to stop flapping her lips, and to show her that Juno truly felt for her the way she said she did. But in the end, Juno was all talk. No action.

SLOANE MADDEN THE ONLY TRUE WISDOM IS IN KNOWING YOU KNOW NOTHING.
(Def forgot Sloane is shorter than Juno. Again. #defyingstereotypes)
Sloane hadn't expected for Juno to draw her closer, just like she hadn't expected to be swept away in the moment. Listening to Juno, watching her face as she experessed the feelings she had apparently experienced for so long, Sloane, in this moment, forgot the logical barriers she had created just moments ago. In this moment, like Juno, she wanted to go for it, forget about all else. Sloane was moved, and she could feel that impulsive side of her itching under her skin. If she didn't control herself, she would do something she would later regret.
But when Juno stopped, it was too late.
Before she could calm herself down, think rationally, Sloane placed a hand on Juno's cheek, craned her neck upward, and claimed Juno's lips in a kiss. Short, to test the waters, to maintain some semblance of self-control. Well, Sloane. You've ******** up. Sloane smiled. "I hope I didn't disappoint."

(Om uh freak - Juno. My height irl. Being tall is overrated.)
"My first kiss." Juno responded dumbly to Sloane's statement, she had this sort of goofy grin on her face, the look that one has when they win the lottery or when they win a competition that they swore they didn't have a leg in. Minus the cheering of course.
"I've got nothing to compare it to." Juno said softly, licking her lips for reasons that were far from innocent. "But being kissed by you could never be disappointing, especially because it is you." Juno admitted with a nod, before leaning in and stealing away a kiss for herself, she held the kiss for a little longer than their initial contact had been, now emboldened by the fact that she knew Sloane was okay with her, with all of this. "I'm definitely not disappointed with kissing you either." She admitted proudly, doing her best to ignore the clapping from the waitstaff in the kitchen.

SLOANE MADDEN THE ONLY TRUE WISDOM IS IN KNOWING YOU KNOW NOTHING.
Wait... what? Juno's first kiss?
Sloane blushed. She hadn't expected Juno to have much experience, but none at all? Suddenly Sloane was wondering if she should have waited, been more romantic, tried to make things more special or... something. She had probably been a lot of girls' first kiss, but this one mattered, and she now she was concerned she had ******** up. Juno, however, didn't appear mad at Sloane at all. And when they shared a second kiss--initiated by Juno, much to Sloane's delight and surprise--the worries melted away.
Sloane ignored the cheering from the staff and smiled and took Juno's hand. "Oh, love. You haven't seen anything yet," Sloane mused lightheartedly with a wink. Nodding toward the door, she asked, "Shall we head out?"

Juno didn't know exactly what Sloane may or may not be referring to when she said that Juno hadn't seen anything yet, but she blushed all the same, her mind going to all of the naughty places that she had been told to avoid by her parents when she had started living by herself.
She felt her hand within Sloane and forgot about all of her fluttering thoughts, nodding she walked out of the restaurant, waving at all of the waitstaff that she knew on the way out, finding herself blushing at the winks that they gave her.
When they were outside, Juno found herself feeling a little cheeky, or timid, or bold, or nervous, or whatever flurry of emotion that was making itself more pronounced with each passing second. "So what do I introduce you to my parents as?" Juno asked her mind randomly setting on a topic, before she thought of something else to jump to. "This won't hinder your ability to be a hostess right?"
