Dammit. Why were they moving so far ahead? Why was Rajih so far ahead? Why were there so many people around now? Theo continued shoving himself through the crowd, trying to reach Phil, to reach Rajih. He barely registered Ophelia's presence as she drew up behind him, nearly jerking him to a stop as she grabbed his shoulder. He shrugged her off and continued pushing onwards. "If Phil gets hurt, I am going to kill Rajih!" He fumed as he shoved through the crowd, Ophelia in his wake. "It's one thing for him to befriend witch eaters, but to introduce them to Phil-" Theo choked on the next words, the amount of anger coursing through him was enough to kill a person merely from the look in his eyes. He couldn't believe this. It was like watching helplessly as his brother was thrust over a volcano about to erupt.

"I cannot believe him!" Theo hissed, supremely pissed. He wanted to murder Rajih as he watched the other boy yank teh two of them by the hand and take off as fast as he could in some direction of another. And the sheer amoutn of people. Ugh. It just didn't help. Theo disliked crowds on a good day, but he was just about ready to burn everyone to a crisp when he was angry. And he was angry. very angry.

"OH GET OUT OF THE BLOODY WAY." Theo all but shouted as he pushed past yet another person in the very large crowd. "Phil!" He shouted, hoping his brother could hear him over the lively chatter and laughter that filled the square. Dammit! "Phil!" He shouted again, trying to close the gap between himself and his brother. Dammit. Turn around Phil! Why wouldn't his brother turn around for a moment, just for a second. Just long enough to see him.

He couldn't let Phil get hurt. He simply couldn't. He would have failed then, failed to protect his brother.

Eyes that were the colour of oak leaves in summer widened ever so slightly in surprise as Cedar recounted how she had ended up in Makai shortly after her parents' demise. "Sorry... about your parents." Lea muttered solemnly, the smile that had been on his face awhile ago now replaced by an unreadable expression as he diverted his gaze to the ground. As far as he could tell, Cedar didn't seem to be adversely affected by the sharing of her circumstances. In fact, she had been rather candid about the issue if he was reading things right, but one really couldn't be too sure with regards to whether he had touched a raw nerve beneath what she was portraying after all. So much for first impressions...

"Pleased to meet you Xerxes." The soft tinkling sound of the bells on the other mononoke's ear, while barely audible, had ensnared Lea's attention entirely and he couldn't take his eyes off him as he approached the three of them in acceptance of their invitation. "It's supposed to be symbolic. A celebration in honour of the witches and their gift perhaps?" He offered gently, his head tilted a little to the side as he smiled warmly at Xerxes in an attempt to make him feel welcomed, flicking one of his ears a few times almost as if it was waving at him before aborting the movement entirely.

"That would probably be a wise approach Kalypso. Even with the number of reapers patrolling the streets in this city, one can never be too careful after all." Lea cautioned. The Hallow's Eve Ball. It would seem to him that this was going to be their very first time attending for all who were in the group then. Not a very bad idea since they would all be equally clueless as to where to go or what to do in preparation for it... that was if everyone didn't mind having one another as company in the first place. "Um... I'm not very sure if any one of you have already made plans prior but if not, perhaps we could go together..?" A tentative proposal on his part that could very well backfire for all he knew. Still... it was probably worth a shot since it certainly beat attending the event all by himself.

Rosel kept her face strategically blank. Skulls? This girl couldn't possibly be talking about real skulls, could she? Of course she couldn't, who kept something so macabre as skulls? It was probably some strange type of pet, or some new slang. It bothered Rosel that she’d missed out on an update in common colloquialisms. Even Az, prudish as he was, appeared to be in the know, though he also appeared to have met the girl before in an unfair advantage. Hmph. How rude of him to not be more clear on what on earth he was talking about.

Rosel’s face lit up with fierce glee at his supposed admission. Was he trying to flirt? Did he really like this girl?

Snapping her arm around him in a far-too-friendly half hug, she grinned at Ruria. ”What absolute nonsense! Az looks precious in a bowtie. You two will be absolute darlings out on the floor. Skulls and all.” She had initially thrown her arm around him in a prelude to a zap, but realized belatedly it might not be the best of ideas. If he was a baby and flinched, she’d have marked herself in front of his new girlfriend as a potential threat. Not a big deal, except the girl was apparently cozy with the Black Hearts. And who might she go crying to if the big, bad Rosel was trying to hurt her beau? No matter, she’d make Az pay on the dance floor anyway. She winked at Ruria. ”I have to warn you though, I’ve already claimed the first dance.”

She heard a shout go up in the crowd behind Ruria and tilted her head, slightly releasing Az. There seemed to be a flash of blue yelling pushing its way through the crowd. How crude.

Lumena Town Square

It was a new day, it was a new place; Orpheus had fallen asleep at the bar, before, hadn't he? Where had he even let Salem get to? Orpheus felt like he had been wandering through the last few days in a haze, perhaps ill at ease separated so suddenly from Phil? In distant reaches of his memory, he could see people flit in and out of the bar, conversations, something about... a ball? And he remembered that a part of him had wanted very badly to find Phil, to ask if he might ever consider being Orpheus's formal date; the first real chance Orpheus would have to meet Phil's friends, and make it known how he felt for Phil. Well, to anyone but Phil; he hoped Phil already knew how he felt, at this point. The thought almost made him smile. Until he heard Theo's voice; he didn't know it was Theo's at first, but with what he was calling out, and his general appearance...

It must have been Theo's voice that snapped Orpheusout of whatever daze he was wandering in. Finally Orpheus had come to, had managed to part the fog in his brain: Phil was in trouble? What was Theo shouting about? He only knew of Theo through Phil's talk of his brother, and it was easy enough to guess that this Majin shouting for Phil must be Theo.

So Orpheus took a deep breath, and ran a hand through his hair. He had to pull himself together. He had to concentrate. Why did that seem so impossible? When the beast had appeared on school grounds, after he had won his duel, he didn't feel like it was so difficult to concentrate. After all, in this season and in chaos, he was best suited. He was in his element. He just needed to remind himself of that. He took his violin out of his sleeve, and struck the bow against the strings, calming himself down. Calm. Everything would be fine. He started to play a full song, a piece about travel and finding what was lost; that was what it meant to him, at least. And slowly, he opened a portal, and stepped into it: these portals were easy. He didn't need an exact location, so it took less energy. He just needed to rapidly open portals in the area until he could find Philemon.

One of the portals took him much closer to Theo. He didn't know how to explain who he was, or if Theo would listen, but in the ten-second window during which he allowed himself to remain in one place before opening the next portal, he tried to talk to him. "Is Philemon alright?" he asked, and then: "I am Orpheus; I'll try to find him, and I hope whatever fear you seem to be experiencing is misplaced..." His voice was musical in nature, if a little dark; it had an almost syrup quality to it. Calming, sweet. He didn't keep the portal open long; if he wanted to find Phil, he couldn't waste this much time. In fact, the actual time in which Theo had to respond to Orpheus was so short that it seemed radically unlikely Theo could even make out what Orpheus had said, in order to reply. Especially since most of what Orpheus said was probably cut off by the portal's distortion quality, which blurred the lines between the space Orpheus was occupying at the moment, the space he had just occupied, and the one which he would soon occupy.

So finally, whether Theo was able to reply or not, Orpheus closed the portal and opened a new one, stepping in this manner until he was nearly exhausted, and he wouldn't stop until he managed to open a portal to find Phil. Surrounding him, there seemed to be... well, he didn't recognize any of the others at all, not even by descriptions. He did know of Rajih, of course, but having never met him nor heard enough to piece together an appearance... Orpheus grew defensive immediately, but he tried to bury that under a facade of calm. "There you are," he exhaled, running a hand through his hair after shoving the violin bow into his hammerspace, followed by the violin. He didn't waste any time in embracing Philemon firmly and quickly, inhaling deeply and reveling in the sensation of comfort that followed. The rest of the haze parted in his mind, allowing him to think clearly for the first time in days. "I don't know how I feel about this worrying about others thing; why are you so fond of it? You must be crazy," he muttered, with a wry grimace, giving way to a smile. Then, his eyes glowing faintly in their usual manner, he turned to look at the others, one hand holding on to Phil's upper arm, as if he was afraid Phil would drift off suddenly.

"Sorry to drop in like that-- Theo seemed very upset, which made me worried. Glad to see he's not in poor company...?" Orpheus said, his eyes glinting, though he smiled. There was only one in the group he worried about: Who was the woman, and why did she seem to have a particular quality about her...?

Salem flinched in mock surprise and clasped at his chest, where his heart would be if his breast housed one. After a moment of holding this pose, he broke down, and though he suppressed a giggle, he couldn't hide the grin that broke out across his face. This girl Ruria just tickled him so.

“Why, miss... Ruria, is it? Miss Ruria, your words do so wound me!” His voice showed no hints of sarcasm, but he assumed everyone present understood he was speaking in acrimony. “I speak nothing but the highest of you, and you lob your cruel names at me! Can't we both just laugh that we survived the encounter at all?” Salem gazed at her with high spirits in his mirrored eyes.

Even as he spoke, he noted Az's inquisitive glance upon him. Rosel knew Salem without the guise of glammer and dark magic to beautify him, but Az would remain in the dark for a while yet. He'd drop his disguise if it had been just him and Rosel, in a secluded place, but the square offered far too many complications to go through with such an action. Salem, giggled, instead, unable to contain his mirth any longer, and intoned, “A story for another day, my friend. Hopefully we see each other again...”

Salem trailed off, his already slightly-taxed concentration broken by the commotion in the center of the square, like so many others. A blue juggernaut barreled through the crowd, in a completely conspicuous manner that Salem would never have approved of for Young Master Theo. They'd met in passing before, had a brief conversation one stormy night, and Salem had taken him to be a sensible man, without the need to make himself seen by so many reapers, even if he didn't know he was a Majin.

Salem was about to pipe up, give some form of snide comment, when a flash of something far more familiar, something far more orange, flickered beside Theo. Orpheus, of course, why was Salem even surprised? These days seemed to have a certain magnetism to them, drawing familiar faces and unfamiliar characters alike into the same place. Half his day's quarry was complete, then. He'd have to break off from this group, eventually, to seek his performing partner out.

For now, however... For now, he'd content himself in the contention between Rosel and Az, for to break off immediately would be rude, and it did interest him so, so it did.

He felt the fingers curled around his hand tighten even more. It was almost painful, but Lycander didn't show any outwards signs of this. His gaze flickered to Requiem, a brief glimpse of concern in his eyes before he turned towards the others. The redhead shifted just enough to lean into Requiem, hopefully able to ease whatever discomfort was making him uneasy. He knew part of it was the witch eater, but not all of it.

When first Rajih and Emelia had gone off - Rajih dragging her off, more accurately - Lycander had felt some unease at what might happen if Emelia got Rajih alone. But then Theo suddenly took off after them as well. This surprised the redhead, considering their little bantering before. Maybe Theo actually did care about Rajih and just tried to deny it? He would have asked Ophelia if his suspicion was correct, but she too seemed to be going after them. She even gave them an apology before running off.

"It's alright. Hope to see you all again soon." He replied easily just before she ran off. Well, he couldn't exactly blame them. Their friend had headed off alone with a witch eater.

"Hope everything will turn out alright for them." Sighing, Lycander met the unreadable expression Requiem was giving him. "I'm sorry if I said or did something to make you uncomfortable. And in answer to your question, why yes. I was inquiring if you would like to accompany me to the Hallow's Eve Ball. I think it will be an exciting event." Lips quirking up in a sly grin, Lycander stepped just far enough away from the other to bow down in a dramatic fashion, still holding Requiem's hand. "Requiem Driscoll? Will you honor me in attending this Hallow's Eve Ball as my date?" Why yes, he was being a little dramatic in asking. But the redhead was aiming to lighten his friend's mood and pull that smile out of him.

Cedar smiled at Lea. "It's alright. They lived good long lives." She nodded and gave a shiver, the air was getting colder as the day was progressing, and her cloak wasn't as thick as it should have been for the weather. She pulled it closer to herself, as she watched and listened to the others talk.

She glanced over at Kalypso and nodded a little. No one seemed to know if it was mandatory or not. Which would be a bummer, going to the ball just to find out you couldn't go. Maybe they could all go together, and just pair off to just get in at least. It seemed like most people she over heard were already getting dates. And it would be hard now to try and find someone else. Not to mention she was enjoying herself with these guys.

Cedar gave a wave to Xerxes. She smiled in agreement with him. "It was always big, even when I was in school. I was just telling them how I had been sick when it was time to go in school. And the year after I was to busy on the farm. So I'm excited about it." She tugged her cloak tighter. "I like your bow and bell, Xerxes."

"Oh actually Lea, I was thinking the same thing. I think it would be fun to go as a group, everyone is up for it."
Cedar glanced over at the other two.

Xerxes nodded to each in turn as the girl with the eye patch - Kalypso, his mind prodded - introduced each member of the trio. His attention turned to surprise when Kalypso mentioned needing a partner for the ball. He had definitely missed the memo that informed him about that little detail. He nibbled worriedly at his lower lip as his tail twitched at the news. What was he to do if he arrived at the ball only to be turned away for lack of a partner? At least he was finding out about it now instead of at the doors to the ball.

"It's nice to meet you as well, Lea." Xerxes grinned at the the other Mononoke. His ears perked up then one ear flicked in return, causing more jingling as the bell attached to one earring bounced. He was excited to meet a fellow Mononoke. Sometimes at the Academy, he felt like he was on display as the other witchlings stared at him. It would be nice if he could make friends with Lea so that he would have another Mononoke to hang around. "I only just heard that this ball thing was happening. I didn't really hear what it was all about. But parties should be fun, right?"

So it was everyone's first time to the ball? Xerxes smiled inwardly that he wouldn't be alone in not knowing what to expect from the ball. He glanced at Cedar and felt his cheeks heat. "Thank you," he said, almost shyly. His tail swished happily at the compliment. "Oh!" His eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That's a great idea! We should all go together." He was glad someone thought of the idea, because he doubted that he would have come up with that answer. They wouldn't need to worry about the whole partner thing if the four of them went as a group. His smile widened, happy that he had thought to come over to meet the trio.

As if reading Emelia's mind, he growled at her, his hand tight with hers and Phil's. "Stop thinking of them being food Emelia." He wanted to mention that beyond Ophelia obviously, Rajih, Requiem and Theo we're Majins like herself. A kindred of spirits that had gathered together. No what worried him was the bright light of Lycander and the Soft Glow of Ophelia being her prey. Even now, he feared for Phil but he would die before he let something happen to his only friend that knew the truth.

"It is not a date woman." Rajih blushed, it deepened even as Orpheus joined the crew, a new unknown witch, "I am taking you...." Rajih eye's scanned mid-run and landed on a dim sweets cafe, though he had both Emelia and Phil with him, he was sure both of them would enjoy the quiet sweet treats. Plus Orpheus had joined them so....okay so he needed to take them all with him. And he needed to tell Phil... immediately. "Look okay here we are guys. In we go." He hoarded all three of them into the care and to a booth before smiling charmingly at the waitress, ordering parfaits and cakes before slipping inside the booth, sitting with Emelia inside the booth next to him and Phil/Orpheus pairing facing towards them. "Okay...Okay we're safe. Nice to meet you new witch, hope you don't mind my rudeness but we's...got a situation" Rajih breathed out before looking at Phil and rolling his eye's at Emelia.

"My name's Rajih." Rajih first held his hand out to the other witch, friend of Phil's then it was all good. "Okay Phil. This is Emelia. Long story short, She's a witch eater....." Rajih pointed his eyes at her before meeting Phil's gaze, "Don't get any idea's Phil, she's not one you want to feel sorry for after all." Rajih glared at her. "Augh, How did you end up here anyways Emelia? and Phil? Weren't you staying with your teacher? And you!" Rajih pointed his finger at the orange witch, "You just popped out of nowhere and now...." He looked outside the window, running a hand through his hair. Stressing, he was stressing. Damn witch eater and new witches and THEO and Auuuuuugh.

A very soft chuckle came from Athir, eyes squinting to show his concealed smile had lifted further, "It's quite alright, miss. No harm was done." he assures to the distraught girl in his gentle voice. After all, nothing really had happened. Just a grazing really. If she was ok, and he was, then all was well. He blinked curiously at her question, giving a semi-confused expression. Seen him? Oh! that's right. She'd glanced at him earlier, and he her. "Oh, yes I was reading just over there." his torso twisted a bit to gesture to the now very populated spot... just where he'd been. Turning back to his current company, his attention was easily grabbed from her explained destination. The library...? "There's a library here..?" he asked in a curious tone, eyes now slowly drifting around them... clearly ignorant to the lot of them. But his gaze returned to her, "Are you in search of it? Perhaps... we could look for it together. I'd very much like to know it's where about's." again, he turned a bit at his waist, glancing to the reaper he'd spoken to before, "Maybe... someone might know where it is..?" there were enough wandering folks around to ask. But... he felt more comfortable talking to Shaden.. but not right now. She was busy entertaining others. His lids lowered slightly over his deep eyes, pupils directing to the ground now, and sliding over to Sade again, "I'm.. afraid I don't really know anyone to ask, though..." he admits in a somewhat embarrassed tone, voice quieter than usual, cheeks giving the smallest hint of a rosey hue.

Phil more felt rather than heard Theo call to him and he forcefully brought his feet to a halt to turn around feeling deeply unsettled about the fact. Theo? his matter screamed at him. No matter how different they appeared to be they were always connected, always parts of the same whole, sides of the same coin. Why were they hurrying away and why was it that he felt so deeply scared that he could run away if they'd just let him? It wasn't his own emotions, were they? But why was his brother so worried to begin with?

But before there was much room to continue doubting his sanity there was a small distortion as the -rather familiar as of lately- opening of a portal occurred and none other but Orpheus stepped out of it replacing his worried expression with a small, shy smile. "Orpheus? ...hello~" He hadn't had a chance to tell anyone about what had went on between Orpheus and himself and to be embraced so openly in front of everyone... They'd certainly ask for more details he supposed. "That's what I do." he chuckled softly. "Your worry is in good hands if you just leave it with me." he paused for a second before blinking at the rest of Orpheus' words. "You met Theo?" he was at least surprised. One moment he feels as if he's being called for and the next he's told that. He shook his head trying to think more clearly but still failed to get what exactly was wrong.

But even Rajih... he seemed quite unsettled. Did he miss something while he was barricaded studying inside for the past pair of days? He could feel his paranoia taking a hold of him and he had to forcibly bring his thought processes to a halt as he was shoved inside some sort of cafe and into a booth only to be caught up in a second round of introductions. He felt his heart slumping a little when he was told the girl was a witch eater... the kind he shouldn't pity could only mean she was taking advantage of her gift... that she had willingly... the only thing he could never forgive...

"W-Well..." he sighed before shaking his head a little, eyes lowered still before he managed to find his smile and look up again. "Although I can't really understand why you would do such a thing, as long as you don't try anything funny on my watch I suppose we're good, yes..." he shook his head and sighed. "I was out playing fetch so to speak and was taking a break and then there were all those people in the town square and teacher's home is just around the corner and I thought I'd stop by and then I saw you..." he tried to explain in short what had happened.

"In any case," he let his shoulders slump as he brought one hand up, fingertips massaging his forehead lightly to keep himself from being driven completely insane. The small room for thought he created made him realize that he was probably the only one aware of everyone in the booth and felt obliged to the introductions. He had to stay calm because no one else appeared to be able to do just that. He turned his eyes to Orpheus and shook his head a little for another time, wondering how in the world he managed to get caught up in all the nonsense. "Well, I talk about him all the time but this is the first time you two meet in person, he... is my best friend" he explained motioning over to Rajih as he talked, smiling awkwardly as moved to scratch the back of his neck with one hand before sighing again. "This crazy person." he looked up at Orpheus cracking a small smile before returning to the other two seating against them. "Is Orpheus. And he does indeed have this knack of appearing out of thin air all the time" he teased.

"Now can anyone explain why there's such a commotion outside? I doubt that just a ball can create such an uproar even if it's just once a year..." just what was he missing after all?

Matrekyu Eberhardt was that little bit too old to be excited about things like annual balls but he did find watching all the younger people mingle and have fun quite refreshing; especially after a morning of arduous gardening. Because having a garden was both a pleasant sight for the eyes as well as a blessing for a great deal of different reasons but in the end, taking care of it wasn't exactly the easiest thing ever. Walking around the town square he was quite content with tasting the crisp air and relaxing. His eyes met quite a few familiar sights, one of them being, rather surprisingly Theo; Surprisingly because he did know that the boy disliked the beautiful town of Lumena for reasons of his own he hadn't pressed to find out. He was most likely there for more or less the same reason as everyone else but he couldn't pass up on the opportunity of going over to him to greet him. He didn't have nothing to lose.

"Good morning, Theo." he smiled, drawing closer to him, one hand moving up to tuck a stray strand of ebony black hair behind his ear as pale eyes studied the rather worried-looking face of his student. "You seem quite distressed, may I ask what happened?" he asked in concern reaching his hand out to gently rest on his shoulder, unaware of the events that appeared to be transpiring all over the place. Last time he had stumbled across such a commotion was when... he had to pause and think about it. Last time was most likely the time they were suspecting that some witch eater had infiltrated the knight ranks and feeding information to its brethren outside. And it had been a rather hectic time for him because he was after all a witch eater with the rank of a knight even if he weren't the one in question. So it naturally did make him wonder... he hoped they hadn't another incident on their hands already.

Because there had been several of them and Kyu was becoming increasingly worried as the days would pass with their investigations turning up in vain and another body wasn't exactly what he wanted to deal with first thing in the morning right now...

Cruor snorted at the comment about wanting sex only, the sound one of amusement as he tilted his head slightly to look at her again. It wasn't that Graveyard wasn't pretty, nor was it that she wasn't intelligent, because she was both. It was more that due to their current... Relationship and her status he hadn't really thought of her that way. First she had been a potential enemy, then a tentative ally, now he was to be her guard. It was all becoming quite perplexing, really; why was he allowing this at all, anyways?

"Sex and warmth." he murmured, eyes hooding a little.

It was a little known fact about him, really, that he enjoyed having someone else in his bed and not just for the pleasures of the flesh. He preferred to sleep in the same bed as another living, breathing human being from time to time, even if it left him a tad vulnerable. Sometimes it was rather nice to leave responsibility behind, if for only one evening.

"Well you are an Ars Lillium. It isn't like your order likes us much more than we like them." he muttered, glancing around the square before looking back to Graveyard.

Of course they did tend to maintain a nice little facade of an alliance and occasionally they would bed or marry one another, they very clearly didn't always see eye to eye. In fact he was certain that most would be appalled by his methods of hunting, killing majins in their sleep, not batting an eye. It wasn't really his concern if they were guilty or not in his mind, in fact he believed it to be a sort of... Preventative measure if a majin was erased from existence.

"That's all well and good." he muttered, suddenly turning his entire form to face her, staring down at her. "But if you truly wish for my assistance then you will have to accompany me on this... 'shopping' disaster that you seem intent on making me go on."

Graveyard could just see the thought's bothering the Dragon. Though he didn't know he showed it but his expressions, when you got past the scowl...and the frown....and that whole like displeasing aura, he was a interesting person to watch in thought. The idea that her and Cruor would do anything of the sort of intimacy made her flush only a little before brushing it aside. She was not one for relationships beyond friendship anyways, such was the way of the Wisewoman of the Tribes.

Though his words dug something into her, Sex and Warmth? What he described was a comfort and a need for such which made her sad for him. Though he didn't want her pity or her sympathy, she didn't mind being one to hold him if he so desired. Nothing more then a friendship of warmth. "Warmth..." As if she suddenly lacked it, her arms wrapped around her, turning her face to look intensely at him. "If only it was that way. I don't follow many of the orders laws anyways, seeing as I live away from the order and barely call upon them. I am more likely to visit the Reapers...." She hinted at their first meeting again, "Or Makai academy. There is no need for me to be here." She sighed, arms clenched tightly against her before chuckling.

"It is a shame though." Her ears popped at the feel of a magic entering her barrier and then that of something darker but not sinister. Another witch had made its appearance though it seemed he was human anyways. That and.......a Cerberus Knight. Her instincts and magic warned her of the Knight but she left that unsaid and didn't probe with her magic more then she had too. Though it seemed she knew most about the world and its going ons....it didn't mean she wanted to know them all. Her ears perked to face Cruor as he turned to her.

There was moment where she felt a slight heat rush through her body as he towered over her, but she chalked it to the bodies reaction to pure masculine power and magics before stepping up to him. "I truly wish for you to join me Cruor, I would indeed feel a lot safer." Her eyes widened at his terms, she had never really shopped, not even with a man before biting her bottom lip. "Well alright then Cruor. It seems you and I have a....what do they call them, young ones these days...We have..." Her hand tapped on her hip before it stopped and she turned a coy smile at him, female delight obvious. "We have a date then!"

Well now, this was certainly a commotion. Being followed, Rajih all flustered, possibility of getting caught. Quite exciting. "Food? What do you mean?" Pretending to act coy wouldn't work for very long, but it didn't mean she couldn't try. The sigh of the cafe earned a giggle and smile from the witch eater, and there was little resistance to go in. "Oh I love Parfaits! Thank you Rajih dear." She thought thing were going smashingly... until the 'bomb' was dropped. Pity, she was starting to like Theo. In a non hungry sort of way.

Sighing she leaned back. "Really? Ruining my fun like that, quite cold Rajih. So cold." She'd have to get back at him for later. Extending her hand to the two witches she didn't think just because she was a witch eater meant she had to be rude. "He's right. I'm one of the things that goes bump in the night. And I thought I said-" she rolled her eyes at him this time. "I came to town to buy some things. That certainly isn't a crime. And you're acting like I'm going to attack someone. Please. Even I'm not that dumb."
The waitress brought them water, and for a while Emelia was silent. When she left however-

"Besides, not all of us witch eaters are stupid enough to cause this mess." Looking at the other two witches, she shrugged. "I suppose that won't matter to you very much anyway. The commotion as you call it, is because some idiotic witch eater decided to not even try to hide themselves. I'm all for being out there, but killing on mass? Pfft. I've never know a witch eater with that much craving and lack of control. Whoever they are, they're going to end up getting us all killed at this rate. The Reapers were already on edge enough. This is like icing on the cake."

Another eye roll.

Lumena Town Square

Cruor watched her, his eyes hooding a little as he watched her hug herself, one of his gauntlet covered hands curling at his side. It wasn't unusual for him to feel protective of women or even some men if they needed it, but he quickly brushed such things aside, visibly straightening a little as if to strengthen his resolve. Besides, such things were reserved for those who even considered romance to be an option.

"Must be strange." he murmured, wordlessly slipping his scythe from the leather straps securing it to his back. "Not being able to turn to the organization that you belong to."

Hooded crimson eyes stared at his scythe as he worked on transforming it. After all his years serving with the weapon it actually wasn't difficult. Thus when he focused on Graveyard again he had an elegant, black and crimson sword complete with belt and sheath in his hand. A pleased smirk tugged a little at the corner of his lips as he worked on securing the weapon to his waist, casually moving to adjust the way his cloak sat, concealing more of his armor.

"This will be a little less--" he froze, his eyes widening at the terminology before narrowing, lips pressing into a thin line. "I... WHAT?!"

He stared at Graveyard in complete disbelief, uncertain if the tingling in his skin was a flush or the sensation of blood leaving his face. He decided that it was probably the latter as his skin didn't feel warm in the slightest. Shaking himself his eyes immediately narrowed and he look a half step forward, bending over slightly to give her a better view of the annoyed look on his face.

"This. Is not. A date."
