Mike, still in his heel-hindquarter stance, finally breathed out. Leith was okay. A small puff of fire erupted from his lips. He'd never done this before. He couldnt help but let out a small giggle. Licking his chapped lips, he stood slowly, running up to Lucien and Warakai in case they needed any assistance. While doing so, he glanced at Leith through his orange eyes. He wished he didn't have to kill anyone.

Gunfire erupted from the group's left side, from on top of the boat. Leith assumed it was the only sentry up there, but he was now shooting down on them. She watched as sand leapt into the air after every bullet hit it, the eruptions getting closer and closer to her new friends with every milisecond. She broke out into a dead run as she called to the very ocean to her back. She felt something inside of her snap as a large arm formed from the ocean and toppled down on the guard--wiping him overboard. Leith ignored the strange burning deep inside of her and pulled harder on the arm of water to sweep out the remaining gaurds as they took aim for her allies. She let it land hard on them; like a bad wipe out on the surf board without the water beneath them to provide some sort of cusion. They weren't dead, but she knew the others would finish them off. She stumbled to her hands and knees in the sand a few feet from the gang, breathing hard.

Warakai's eyes fixed on the boat up ahead he sheathed his blade ready to storm it with their minimal force making sure to stay on Mikes injured side to provide a little extra defense should it be required, "well this little group is full of surprises isn't it? But I am sure mine will trump all of yours" he said with a smile placing his hand on the mystery satchel again. "Leith don't push so hard" he said running over to help her up.

Mike shut his eyes as he was doused with blood from Warakai's victim. He tasted it in his mouth and clenched his teeth. "Egh!" He managed to get out. One guard, while he was blinded, started charging at him from the front. Lucien and Warakai, both occupied, wouldn't be able to help him. At least, not very well. Mike hunkered down ever so slightly, waiting for the guard to come closer. When they came close enough, Mike let 'em have it. Mike's hands wracked with fire, the guard stopped short, his jaw dropping. Mike half spun, and heeled the guard in the back of his neck, and the guard dropped down. Then Mike punched him right in the face, feeling the break of the man's nose, and the burning of his skin. The guard died, face down in the sand. Mike backed off, puffing.
And then there were gunshots from above, hitting the sand in short spurts, coming closer and closer. Then Mike looked up, and a giant wave shadowed his vision. Soon, Mike was doused with water, as were the guards attacking from above. They all dropped down into the sand, either dead or conked out. Mike looked at her and gave her an amused, half smile. 'That girl can wallop when she wants to,' He thought. 'Hell, all of them can.' Thankfully, Warakai went to go help her. Mike focused on any other enemies that may be coming and put up his dukes, making sure to watch Lucien's back.

She stood with his help and pushed her blonde hair from her face, "I hate guns..." was all she said in response to him. She figured that should explain enough for why she had pushed herself beyond her limits. A fire suddenly erupted within in her and she knew she had spent herself. She bit down too hard on her lip so as to not alert Warakai or anyone else of the pain she was experiencing. She was going to continue to fight no matter what. She had already pushed herself too hard, overexceeded her maximum. There would be no more water bending from her for a while. She wondered if she'd be able to even walk. She tasted blood but couldn't stop from biting her lip.

A group of guards began pouring out from the many doors of the boat, jumping down and arranging in formation with their guns at the ready. Lucien smiled. "Batting clean up!" He raised his arm by his face then lashed it out. From his shadow flew a barrage of thin blade like hail that arced over and rained down the formation.

Mike watched in amazement as Lucien destroyed his enemies. He didnt sense anyone else coming after that, for the place grew eerily quiet. 'Great,' Mike thought. 'Right when I try to redeem myself, I go and make a mess.' Mike bent his knees and went into a squat, covering his face with his hands, and running his fingers through his damp hair. Licking his chapped lips, he could feel the fire inside die out, little by little. Mike was returning to normal. Well, whatever he considered normal. Mike sat there, his elbows on his knees, his eyes focusing in the sand. His eyes saw the dark of night again, they were back to their original sky blue. He almost couldnt believe what he had done, until he saw his two victims burnt to a crisp. 'Will I have to do this again?' Mike wasnt a killer. He couldnt do this forever if it meant traveling with these Elementals, his own kind. Even if they were enemies. That was the thing. 'What had these guards done to them?' Mike thought. Slowly, he looked up at Lucien, then over at Warakai, who was still with Leith. 'What did these guards ever do to THEM?' Mike's brow twitched.

"We have to be quick before reinforcements show up, does anybody know where the engine rooms are on this thing?" Warakai asked looking back at the group

Mike stood slowly. Swallowing, he said nothing, but continued to stare off into space. Several questions about morality came up, bouncing everywhere in his head. Was it alright to kill a presumed enemy? Were they evil just because they work for the Empire? Just because they guarded the harbor? Just because they were doing thier job? Mike's head started to hurt. He blinked, still silent. He wasn't sure what to think. He had two more lives added to the mix. The scariest part was he didn't even think about what he'd done until after he'd done it. It scared him. He didn't want to be a killing machine.

Lucien motioned the others to follow. "Come on. You have something you want to do don'cha?"

Silently, Mike followed Lucien to wherever he was going. He wasn't going to defend him though. Mike's powers were awesome, but he shouldnt have used them to... destroy lives. He bit his lip. He was never going to be forgiven for this. Those guards may or may not have decided to hurt them at first, but Mike's team provoked them, and thus the brawl. But those guards... They had families. Mike probably took away a couple of fathers and husbands and uncles and grandpas and sons just minutes ago. The thoughts pestered him like a swarm of mosquitoes.

Leith spit out a fairly large amount of spit and blood and followed Lucien towards the boat. She ignored her fatigue and strange pain and stood straight, pushing her long blonde hair away from her face as she withdrew her knife.

"I have only a few things to say..." started off Lucien as he led them down into the engine/furnace. "Everyone who is involved with the Empire, whoever works for them, acts for them, who ever rules them. Surely they have families and their own lives ahead of them. It is pitiful, yes, that we have to take their lives. But they were trained, ordered, and assigned to do nothing but oppress and take our lives and everyone else against them. Its kill or be killed in this world now." a glimmer of a tear dropped as he kicked open the metal door.
It was a circular room. Pipes draped around the cieling and walls all connected to the ship's engine, a giant furnace. "If we're gonna continue to survive in this world, its something we have to deal with."
