Shay knew she had to take mostly, everything off. Her shirt for one thing, and everything else in the way of her shoulder and chest wounds. Yet she was grateful for the cover of darkness within the forest, or she'd be seriously embarrassed and feel acquired with him for a while afterwards. Yet she knew their probably would be one, but she shoved that thought aside and started to take of her bow, satchel and then began on her shirt.
“Ahhh-ah!” She cried out in pain when she couldn't do it, and then punched the earth in frustration. She looked over a David and chuckled nervously, “Um-mm, hehe... your gonna have to help me take off my shirt and other under clothing.” Shay softly said already feeling a blush rosy up her cheeks. “I hope you don't mind and... well, I hope your ok with it too.” Shay said hearing David collect what had to be healing herbs, and other objects to sooth her for the time being.

Some words from Shay was not always that good and these where some that could lead to temptation. Not that David was a man of the church, this was just not the time. David walked back to Shay and did what was necessary. His face kept clam and did it as gentle as he could not to mention as gentlemanly as he could. Yet his minds where about concentration to the highest levels. He was forcing out a mental power over him, after all he was a man but Shay was a fellow hunter in need and at this point a partner in need and that was all. When he was done he applied the little medical herbs he could find and knew how to use over the wounds and then with moss to create a package. Above that he applied bandages. That should give Shay her strength back faster and heal properly but at this moment it was all just a bit hasty for David knew what lurked around in these forest and he would want to be busy working on Shays wound and be attacked. "That should do for quite a while I guess even if the herbs won't last that long but it'll be a bonus."

Shay felt so uncomfortable, plus very naked and out of her element. But this had to be done, she was just grateful David was here to help her.
When Shay felt his fingertips brush against her shoulder and chest applying herbs and moss-- Shay's body went on high alert, and she was very aware at how acquired this whole situation was. She chuckled softly trying to keep her mind off at how gentle he was with her, and how acquired he was, yet aroused as well. Even though they were covered in darkness, Shay could easily see it in his eyes-- and felt it in his lingering touch. She cleared her throat and placed her hand on his shoulder when he was finished, and rather grateful that her chest was now semi covered with bandages.
“Thanks David... yet can you help me put clothes back on...?” She lightly chuckled afterwards, and motioned to her satchel for another shirt.

David nodded towards her with a smile. It seemed as if one herb did it's effects in taking away the pain at least a bit. David walked over the the satchel and searched around for clothes. It didn't take long until he was back helping Shay to dress herself. "We should rest for the night! I'll take watch!" His voice was smooth as always yet there was a determination that this was already decided and not to be argued with, since it would do nothing to change the fact.

((So sorry about the wait Dokuro-- I've been dealing with some stuff at home... but anyways I hope everythings ok with you! ^_^))
Shay was rather grateful to have clothing back on, yet she hated how David was now treating her-- like she's some inferior woman. Well she was in fact a woman, but inferior she was not. It just seemed as if she was being put into place, as some fragile and delicate woman. Yet Shay knew most of it was just her pride, bruised ego and so on talking, but she couldn't help but like David all the much more for being protective and... well just being her for her.
She winced as she turned over on her side to look at him. “Don't be pushy David... and the whole over protective, and motherly look doesn't suit you. But thanks for being here.” She smiled and positioned her satchel as a pillow behind her, leaning back into it with a heavy sigh. She casually glanced from time to time at David, wondering what this odd feeling she had growing within her for him was, and then she slowly fell asleep.

David made a fire as darkness came closer. It would give away their position but without it the small movements would be missed and that would be far more deadlier then an raiding enemy. It didn't take long for the fire to rise up as much as David allowed it to grow and then he sat down. A few meters away from the fire. After all if any one did raided this flame they would have to stand in the light for some time before they would spot David. This way David would see all movements and both of the hunters would be saved. In the corner of the eye he spotted that small deadly movement and next to the sleeping Shay an arrow hit it's target in the head of a snake. From that every thing was silent.
((Yes, every thing is quite fine with me and don't worry about it.))

Shay felt the warmth of a fire, sometimes during her slumber and cuddled closer into her blankets ignoring the sheer pain; that jolted up her arm in the process. But that's not what brought her jumping up with her dagger in hand, it was the sound of an arrow and then the hissing sound of a snake right beside that did.
She gazed at the died snake and then at David with a smile on her face, “Hungry?” She asked and casually dragged herself near the fire and skewered the snake on the arrow to cook. Shay yawned and began to stretched a bit-- now wide awake, yet still very tired. But her grumbling stomach was one thing she could now, not resist.
((Ok I'm seriously, seriously, very sorry for the wait! *feels horrible* sorry, sorry, sorry!!!))

David came out of the darkness and into the fire. "I kind of liked that arrow!" HE added as he saw the wood become useless. It was a shame for he spent hours with each arrow he made. "Yet it's for a good course and yes I'm quite hungry in deed." He placed his bow next to him with an arrow on top of it. HE relaxed but was still tensed because there was enemies close by, he could feel the forest warn him for blood thirsty beast.

Shay laughed a bit by his pouty comment on his arrow, "I'm sorry-- I feel your loss!" She held back another laugh, and groaned as her stomach cried. She looked up at him and nervously laughed, "What can I say... she's the boss!" She laughed, yet she knew there were dangers out in the woods, but knowing them. They were highly trained for any unannounced visitor, and were ready to fight at any moment. Shay smiled at David, "Don't worry," She winked at him, "I got your back."

David smirked a bit and then thought for something to light himself up. "Well...Who got yours? I see only you and me here!" He thought of his words, it was a weak joke and a hopeless proof of his humor. David then leaned back so that he tipped over and rested his head upon the grass and he closed his eyes as the sun looked thought the leaves making a glowing pillar down towards the camp and Davids face.

Shay eyed him, and wondered what he meant by his comment or randomly strange joke. She spun the stick around to cook the other side of the snake and looked at David, wondering what was going though his mind.
The sun was coming up and the rays of light began to shimmer and shine through leaves and branches. A smile lingered on her face more than she wanted it to, as she gazed out in the valley. Even though the splendor of bodies and blood wasn't really a great sight, the upcoming sun was all she needed, and the woods to bring a smile to her face.

A smile came upon Davids lip as the warmth begun to come across his skin. This was home for him. After all he had no family. He had his sibling and parents true but he had no family of his own. This was his only home and it accepted those who entered this home. Yet only a few would start to call it home. "Now this is truly home, wouldn't you say Shay?" He opened one eye and looked at Shay with it. He was indeed quite tired from last night but he would show it only as being friendly and the coming night would grant him rest so he was no harm. He was a hunter after all.

Shay smiled back in return, "Yes... it truly is, home."
The smell and aroma of the snake brough her out of her ever longing gaze out at the valley for a home of her own. A family. Or a love. She looked over at David with a weak smile, and clouded eyes filled with so much emotion within. She pulled the snake away from the fire and motioned for him to come and get some.

David got up form the grass and let his fingers move some hair out of his face. He notice Shay and couldn't help but to start laugh there. All stress left him somehow and he was free from all the terror as if the forest protected her hunters. He took a part of the snake, enough for him but left most to her. Yet now not to sound like a guy to a girl. This was only for the wounded to regain her strength for even if they where homestead, there was a forest they truly called home. "You'll need it to get back the blood you lost, Shay. We should start moving soon. I think we can stay out here a few weeks longer. You've recovered good. Or do you wish to get back to our portal?"

Shay watched David wondering why he started to laugh, but didn't question him on it. She eyed him by his comment, “Ah... well thank you.” She reached over, grabbed the snake and began munching on it. After she finished she replied back to David, “I don't wanna risk opening my wounds more, so I think the best option would be to stay here a bit longer. Just to be on the safe side at least... then again we're still near the danger zone so... well what do you think?”
