The vault used to hold all of the most valuable texts and treasures of the necromancers. It has been looted, most of the valuables stolen when the Necromancers were attacked, but a few small treasures might have been overlooked in the corners, covered in dust and cobwebs.

A hum filled the hollow halls of the necromancer vault as a small girl was bent over a vase. Her long sleeves were pulled up slightly as she rummaged through the vase, her face set in a pout. There was nothing here either, she decided as a huff came from her lips and she righted herself. Xirena didn't truly understand why they were in this barren place, in this dead city, but she didn't think she really cared. Yes, her brother was trying to find some tome or something, but why did they really have to be here for that?

The girl trounced around towards her guardian, falling into the taller woman and circling her arms around her. Looking up with pathetic eyes, she conveyed her confusion with being there with a simple look. Her brother was being methodical and relentless again, and Xirena really didn't understand why. They were in an old, musty, dank tomb and she was rather sure multiple people had died here during the war. It didn't help she simply hated being at the heart of the city where most of the bloodshed happened. Still she remained quite, humming her tune.

Deeper into the vault Xerena would feel a faint flicker of life energy. If she decided to follow it, she would find a large clay pot with a lid covered in clay to seal it from the outside. It was buried behind a mountain of books and scrolls, most of which had already rotted to a dark gooey mess that covered everything.

A low sigh echoed through the halls of the vault as Xaemin ran his fingers across many dusty books that laid on one of the many shelves. "They really did take everything of value" He said to himself. Pulling a book from the shelf he would bring it close before blowing the dust off to reveal the cover. Well at least I will have reading material for the next few weeks He thought, setting the book aside before resuming his scan of what little remained in the tomb.

The boy would turn away from the collection of dusty books to look upon his sister who seemed rather confused. He sighed once more before gathering up the books he took interest in before making his way over to the two who waited. "Now Now dear sister what's with the look of confusion?" The taller Necromancer would ask as he shuffled the books into one hand while placing the other upon his dear sisters head. He smiled down at her before turning towards the entrance, indicating that he was done here.

════════════════════════════¤

Adelicia had never seen the vaults before the city's fall, but she could see hints of what it once was like, scattered among the thick layer of dust that had built up over the years. All that was left were a handful of old books which were lucky enough to have not rotted, shards from broken pottery and glass.. Likely once used as containers. Nothing remained of their contents. The books were what held most of her attention. Most, she dared not touch for fear that they might crumble under her hands. The pages were so brittle.. But some of them were moldy as well. She contented herself with softly blowing the dust off the covers, her pale eyes glancing over the ones she looked at. There was nothing of interest. She didn't even understand what most of these were.. She knew that Xaemin was hoping to find one in particular, but she had quickly realized that she could be of no help if it happened to be here.

She stood somewhere between her two charges, currently looking over what looked like it had once been a bookcase. Only two of the shelves still held. The rest had broken years ago. She thought it might give way at any moment.. She was distracted when she felt a another body fall against hers and arms wrapping around her. Looking down, she delicately wrapped one arm around Xirena, tugging her sleeve over her hand. The other girl's gaze was so pathetic, yet so lost and confused.. How she was able to manage such adorable, expressive looks was far beyond the undead girl's understanding. "We'll be done soon." She quietly assured her, raising her eyes to peer about this gloomy place. Soon enough, Xaemin was walking over with several books in his arms. "Find anything good?" She asked curiously.

Xirena's attention was drawn to her brother as he spoke. She wanted to roll her eyes but refrained. Of course scavengers would have already taken everything of value from the vault. Due to the war it was no longer guarded or sealed, and it was ripe pickings for those who were looking for easily sold items. The books were rather valuable, even to those who were not necromancers, and there were some golden pots and items. Of course they were all gone now, and the books were so old some of them had turned brittle or completely rotted. By a touch Xirena was sure she could turn them back to their lively appearances, but she would not do so until asked. There was no way to know if the power in the books would be unleashed, and she wasn't a fan of fighting at this very moment.

There was a pulse in her chest, but she was distracted by Ade as she patted her head. A small giggle escaped her before Xaemin asked a question. Looking over she responded, "I don't understand why we have to come back here is all. It would be better and more fun to just find the thieves and where they sold the more intact books. I hate the city..." She pouted again, the tugging inside of her thrumming even harder. She scratched her head with her sleeved hand, righting herself instead of leaning on Ade, before looking behind her brother. It was a tight walkway, devoid of lighting, and it didn't seem like it was truly supposed to be used. Still, something called for her, and Xirena obliged.

The girl moved past her brother, seeming to be pulled further in. "Brother," she whispered as she moved, "something's back there." Getting through the walkway revealed a small alcove that only had room for a small amount of people at most. The pulsating was getting stronger, and the girl's pink orbs flared as her psionic ability encompassed a clay pot inside of a cascade of books. She landed it next to her, putting her ear up to it before poking it. "It's coming from in here." She did not know it, but her essence was seeping into the pot, into whatever was inside, and could bring back a spark of life.

As the young necromancer got closer to the source of the life energy, she would find that it was centered around what would be the chest and seaps out to the rest of the body, a rather small body at that. It would be better to open the container before doing anything. When the container gets opened, the first thing that would be noticed was the foul smell of peservitives that has sat too long before the sword blade that was clearly broken wedged in the container to support the head that it ran through. To get the corpse out, they would need to break the container first.

The young Necromancer shifted his gaze from the entrance of the vault towards their undead caretaker, Addy. His crimson eyes resting upon her pale face as she asked her question. The boy sighed while shaking his head slowly. "Sadly I did not find anything of worth." He replied. Xaemin would shift his gaze from Addy to his dear sister who replied to his earlier question. True it would be much more fun to find those who stole them but we lack knowledge on whom took them and to where we should start the hunt. Secondly, I can understand your hate for the city but do remember... this is still our home"

The Necromancer brow raised as his sister moved past him and stated that something was here. His mind begun to wonder to what could possibly be hiding within the shadows of the vault. Following his sister, they pushed through the walkway and arrived in a small room and within that room laid a clay pot. Walking in further Xaemin would set the books gently aside before walking up to the pot. He first would examine the pot to find that it was indeed just an ordinary clay pot but he did feel a presence from within. "Stand back... I'm gonna open it" Xaemin said as he placed both hands tightly upon the lid before lifting up. What followed next was the foul scent of preservatives that caused Xaemin to withdraw back a bit.

════════════════════════════¤

Adelicia was disappointed by Xaemin's answer, but not surprised. It would have been a miracle if he had found what he sought. It would have been something of a small miracle if thieves hadn't completely stripped the vaults of everything they held in the years since the city's fall. "At least you found something." She nodded to the books he held. That was better than nothing at all.. She closed her eyes as Xirena spoke her eyes, almost going to answer her self.. But Xaemin beat her to it. She nodded in quiet agreement with his statements before adding her own simple reply. "We'll leave soon." She let go of the girl as she straightened, looking up at her with a small smile that faded as it became apparent that Xirena was.. Distracted by something.

Xirena seemed to have noticed something. She had no idea what it could be that got her attention, but as she saw both twins going to a narrow, dark hallway.. She was worried. Had any of them been back there? She didn't think so, so there was no telling what they might find. She glanced back at the vault entrance for a moment before looking at the narrow, dark passage the twins were disappearing down. She quickly followed them, almost bumping into Xaemin's back in her hurry. Her right hand reached out for the wall, fingertips dragging along the smooth stone. The narrow passage soon opened up into a small recess. She lingered in the hallway, her pale gaze peering around the room. There wasn't much light to see by, but she made out the silhouette of what appeared to be a large pot that Xirena had uncovered.

"What is it..?" She asked softly as she now stepped into the room. She didn't go more than two steps, gazing upon the pot with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. Xaemin's words halted her approach, even brought her to take a step backwards to give him more space. She delicately rested her nearest hand on Xirena's shoulder as she watched him, ready to drag at least one of the pair out of the room if necessary. She didn't know what she expected, but that nothing appeared to happen when the lid was removed was a relief. The terrible odor it exuded did not bother her, but it was clear there was something foul inside the clay container. She hesitated, then closed the small distance and leaned forward to look inside. She could just make out the faint gleam of something metal near the top, but most of it was shrouded in darkness. "There's something metal.. We need a light." She brought her free hand to the edge of the pot, contemplating reaching inside.

Xirena made a face of disgust when the jar was opened. The foul smelling liquid inside filled the small area instantly, causing the girl to cover her nose before taking a few steps back. Ade instantly was there, standing slightly in front of her, before she moved over to the foul smelling pot. The girl waved her hand at the order of light, and a rumbling in the earth could be heard resonating off the walls. Instantaneously the room closer to a small alter filled with bioluminescence flowers- four-o-clocks- and chrysanthemums to dwindle the smell. The room filled with a natural green and yellow hue, giving enough light to actually see about. It bounced off the walls, making the pot only slightly more visible inside, but at least the smell was all but gone and replaced with a more natural sweet scent.

Her eyes stopped watering long enough to move forward, closer to the pot. She peaked around Ade, looking to see that there was in fact a metal blade only slightly smaller than the pot's opening inside. Now that she was standing closer to it, Xirena could see the vase was in fact rather large, hell she thought she could fit inside if she were curled up tight. Well... come to think of it why would a metal sheet be just... floating in preservatives? She made a face before waving her arm in front of her, over the pot. The soft earth that was pushed up to produce the flowers rumbled again, large vines erupting from the soil and barreling towards the pot. Echos of the ceramic porcelain breaking and clattering to the ground. A wet thud accompanied the more metallic noise, and reddish-pink orbs widened.

She dropped to her knees, placing a finger onto the thing's head. She traced the metal sheet going out of its head, the green light making it look more ghastly than it should have been, before looking back to her brother and Ade. "That's a dead person!"

As the corpse was filled with life energy, she would sit up and look around in a confused and dazed stupor before she noticed that there was people around. Though there would be an issue as the little girl looked between the twins and the other undead that was in the room curiously before pointing at the other undead as well as the male before asking if they are the other little girl's mama and papa, of course pointing at each of them in turn. Although, with the perspectives in her lungs would make any words she tried to say inaudible as the liquid was spilling between her lips as it was pushed out as she tried talking. Luckily she was at least clothed, even if the dress was nothing more then stained, threadbare rags that would reek of the foul liquid she was in that also made it cling to her form. Before too long though, she would grow board of waiting or listening to anything they might have to say and crawled over to the flowers, leaving a tail of the preservatives still soaked into her skin as well as her dress, as she went to make a rather poor quality daisy crown out of the colorful plants before giving up on that as well and trying to eat one of the flowers she picked.

Xaemins lips formed a smile after what Addy said about the books. True these books were not much but at least they were something, even if they were old, dusty and about ready to crumble with the slightest touch. Xaemin covered his nose as the foul smell of the liquid encased the small area. His crimson eyes followed as his sister walked up to the pot and waved her hand before it. The earth under the three began to resonate and the foul scent has dwindled and in its wake was something more pleasant.

He peered ahead to see a glint of metal from within the pot which grew the young man's curiosity. The earth once again rumbled and large wines erupted forth from her sister to shatter the pot. What laid next was the sounds of metal and water hitting the ground before the two. Blinking he stared at what laid just before them. "And... undead.... strange... why was I unable to sense it?"

Guardian of the Twins

Location: Vault of the Necromancers ¤ Company: Twins, a little girl?
Mood: Confused ¤ Thoughts: Why would anyone do this?

════════════════════════════¤

Adelicia looked around when a rumbling sound became apparent, initially worried until the reason made itself known. The things Xirena could do would never cease to amaze her. With what seemed like hardly any effort, she had turned this room into what was practically a small garden. The gentle light from the plants was plenty to illuminate the dusty old space.. And give the outside of the pot It was cracked and worn.. There was absolutely nothing remarkable about it. "Thank you." She smiled briefly, looking into the pot again. She still couldn't see much of anything. The metal was clearer now. Surprisingly, there was no rust. Maybe because of the preservatives, but she didn't know about things like that. Biting her lip, she leaned forward a little more, her eyes narrowing as she stared intently.

When the earth was disturbed again, vines coming up around the pot, she quickly backed up. It seemed to crack and break easily, revealing the contents. "This is..." Her face arranged in a look of shock at the sight before her, eyes wide growing wide while her right hand rose to her mouth. A body.. A child's body, run through with multiple metal shards of varying sizes. The glinting metal she had glimpsed earlier was clearly the shard buried in its head. How long had this corpse been here, sitting in that pot? So many whys were running through her mind. Questions upon questions. All of which came to a halt when the dead child suddenly sat up and looked around.

A moment later, the child was already taking other actions. She couldn't understand what the dead child was saying.. The liquid pouring from her mouth made her words indistinct, but the way she was pointing at them as she tried to speak was a hint. Her brows knit in confusion as she cast her gaze to the twins.. Until this strange undead girl started crawling around and trying to do something with the flowers. Adelicia hesitated, but soon followed the child to crouch near her. So far, this one didn't seem very dangerous. "Hello there.." She smiled cautiously as she extended a hand to this newly awakened being.

The dead person was no longer dead in the full sense of the word. She had multiple sheets of metal sticking out of her, and yet she raised up like a normal child. The thing pointed toward Ade and Xaemin and tried to say something, but all that came out was more preservative. Well that would make sense, Xirena decided. She didn't know how long the girl was inside of the pot, but it must have been long enough for every inch of her body to be covered. But why would she have been in such liquid? The undead girl didn't seem too phased by the newcomers, and instead crawled over to the bed of flowers Xire had created.

She looked to her brother and shrugged her shoulders. "I've sensed it since we came in. But it was a like a ping, brother. Something faint, not there. What's going on?" Her words were absolutely not answered by Ade, who only went towards the undead girl. She tried to goad it into talking, but she might have failed by trying to touch it. The preservative seemed to be soaked through the thing, and she was rather scared if Ade would be harmed by it. That was a strange thought, she chastised herself, seeing as her guardian was also undead. Maybe they could connect.

Xirena walked over to Ade and the undead girl, kneeling down and letting her large sleeves to brush against the ground. She looked back to her brother, jutting her head in a show for him to come closer as well. If they were going to find out anything about this thing, they needed to be as non threatening as possible. She turned back towards the thing now eating flowers, and frowned. "Doesn't seem very smart, but that's okay. You can join the dummy patrol!" She pointed towards herself to verify that she was a happy member of said patrol and she smiled wide. She had no idea if the undead girl would understand, but she at least tried to lighten the strange mood in the room.

The little one didn't seem too bothered by the lack of understanding but when the other undead followed after her, she turned and nuzzled her hand. "Hello. I'm not a dummy!" She said simply as she looked at the other undead girl before turning to fiddle with the flower crown for a few moments.
