Dorian ran his hand over the polished shiny wood of his broom and picked it up. "See you guys later, I have practice with Clover this afternoon." He said moving to the door of his dorm room. "Have fun on your date, " Keller teased shooting him a knowing smirk. "Tell us how it goes." Dejen and Raphael glanced up from their homework and grinned making Dorian flush. He was still getting used to their teasing. "I doubt that I will be telling you how it goes. I don't want the whole school knowing." He shot back over his shoulder as he left. He suddenly worried that Clover would be a bit taken aback by the picnic he had planned for after their normal Saturday practice. They'd been spending every Saturday practicing so they could get on their house teams in some way. At this point, Dorian would have been happy to get on the alternates list. He had asked his house elf to bring the picnic basket out in an hour or so, once their practice was over. He hadn't wanted the food to get warm or spoil so it would make either of them sick. "Hey there, you ready to fly high again?” he asked spying Clover walking towards the door he'd paused at. He opened it for her and waited to follow after her taking a deep breath. It had been a few days since they had become boyfriend and girlfriend and shared their first kisses with one another. They had to wait for the ground to dry up from the storm. He slipped his broom into his other hand so he could hold it out to her. " let's try a different spot to practice today, " he suggested then led her off to an empty area of the sprawling Hogwart's lawn.

Clover spent the morning working on her painting for her ether one of her art class. She had started it several times over the week but then stopped because she wasn't feeling it was going in the direction she had wanted it to go. So she was glad that it was finally coming along well, that she actually had forgotten the time.
It wasn't until she took a step back to get a larger view at it, and Dubhán rubbed her leg. "What are you doing?" she asked the black shadow that was underfoot. Dubhán looked up at her with his amber eyes before going over to her broom and nocking it over. "Well what was that for? I need..."
"Meow." Dubhán stated defnently as if to state his point before batting at the broom's handle again.
"Bloody Hell, I'm a bloody tosser, It's almost time to meet up with Dorian." she said realizing the time. At this Dubhán seemed to be satisfied and went and curled up on a Hufflepuff couch pillow. "Thanks Dubhán have a good nap." She said before rushing to leave.
Clover quickly cleaned her brushes and hands and quickly changed into something that didn't have paint on it before grabbing her broom and going to where she would meet up with Dorian. She didn't even think to check herself in the mirror to see if she had paint on her face or in her hair. She did have a bit on her chin from when she would take a step back to ponder how the painting was going, though it wasn't too noticeable unless you were focusing on her face, and maybe some in her hair as well.(edited) They had reached the door at about the same time, "Yeah," she said as the two walked though,
"Sorry I was panting my homework so my hands are a bit wet." She said, "If it wasn't for Dubhán I'd probably be a little late... Good thing he's half Kneazle" She blushed a bit as she admitted that she would have been late if not for her cat. "It's not that I forgot, I lost track of time, and it's the first time all week the painting had been going the way I wanted." she admitted with a blush taking his hand, feeling a bit stupid, and over explanatory.
"A different spot? Sure it's always good to get a change of view sometimes," she agreed letting him lead her to the new location. "So what do you want to start with, speed, blocking, tossing and catching, the small ball catch or bat swinging?" she asked. Like Dorian she figured trying out for each spot that was open but she was focusing on the position of Beater, because of the whole protector of the team thing Beaters had, though she had to admit hitting a Bludger at Dorian didn't sound to good ether, even more now since they were closer then before. Though Bludgers did have a mind of their own so just hitting them away from her teammates should be enough, right?]

Dorian Smiled as Clover explained what she had been up to. He could have figured that out by the paint in her hair and on her chin. He found it rather adorable that she'd get so focused on her art that she'd end up wearing paint.
"I will have to thank Dubhan for reminding you. He likes fish, doesn't he? It's okay Clover, I know painting is something you are focusing on more this year. We can cut back on practices once we've made the teams." He said, confident that they'd both make their teams.
He held her hand loosely and moved over to a spot further away from the castle and close to the Black Lake. It had a rather pretty view of the trees and lake.
"I think you have blocking down pretty well. I think working on speed and catching are the ones we need to work on the most. I think we both have a good chance of making the team, you're progressing really well. I'm not too bad but could use work on moving more quickly." He said thoughtfully as he let her hand go and got on his broom. "How about a game of Broom tag then? You're it!" He said tapping her shoulder with a grin and zoomed off a second later.

Clover smiled, "He does like fish, and field mice, small birds the normal cat menu." she chuckled. "Well with the exception of milk, then again most cats are better with goat's milk then cow's milk, large and small cats alike."
She shook her head, "No, it's not that I want to cut back on partitioning with you." She bushed some, "It's not that different from last year, I must have just been in a artist's block for this particular piece." she spoke.
She couldn't help but admire the way trees of the Forbidden Forest reflected on the water as he brought her closer to it. She really was better when she was in the out doors. "Nice day today." she thought to herself.
When he let go of her hand she scratched at the drying paint on her chin before realizing she left some paint there. When he said a game of Broom tag she nodded, "Alright just a second." she said though he was already in the air. She rolled her eyes and dipped her hand into the water and whipped her chin to get the paint off so it wouldn't itch. She'd clean the paint from her hair later. "Game on," she said with determination in her eyes. She then climbed onto her broom and took chase after Dorian working on closing the distance between the two of them.

"Right, of course, Kneezles are allergic to cow's milk," Dorian replied remembering reading about that in their Care of Magic Creatures book not that long ago. "I was meaning to get Remy a fish, so I don't mind getting Dubhan one as well."
Dorian couldn't help but smile at Clover's words. He didn't want to cut back on the time he spent with her either, he actually wanted to spend more time with her. However, he knew that studies should come first, and he wanted her to also have the time to practice her painting as well. Having a relationship with her would require a bit of juggling, but at least they still had the same classes for the most part. They could always spend time together when they studied or tackled school assignments.
Of course when they were all done with tests, Dorian also looked forward to taking her on dates. Other than the picnic date he had planned for that day, he had a few other ideas for dates that he wanted to take her on. It wasn't really all that odd for him to think ahead like that, Dorian liked to plan things in advance when he got the chance.
"Ah, okay. I like spending time with you too, even if it's to practice or study," he told her with a smile. "While I'm not an artist, I can understand the block bit. Sometimes I can get that when I'm trying to write something. It always bugs me. Sometimes just stepping away and focusing on something else tends to help me."
Dorian knew his speeding off without waiting for her would make Clover more determined to catch him. He couldn't help but grin when he glanced over his shoulder and saw her finally climb on her broom and coming after him. "Come on! You can do better than that," He called with a wide grin and willed his broom to go faster.

Clover nodded, "That they are, but most big cats are. Makes them lose fur in some cases, or so I've heard." She recalled. "But Dubhán would like a fish."
"Well you do keep me honest with the ones I'm not so keen on." She admitted with a bit of a blush. "Even if we have only a couple of classes together all of our core classes are the same so it's not so bad." she agreed.
Clover bent lower to her broom, "I'm only getting started." she replied. Speeding after him, they both had the same broom so it was going to be a matter of skill.

Dorian was rather glad that he was able to help Clover keep up on classes that she didn't care for. It was really the least he could do for his girlfriend. It was strange to think that after so long of being just friends that she was now something even more to him. He hoped that they would last for a long time. He had friends who seemed to go through girlfriends and get new ones every couple of weeks. He didn't really understand that at all.
Dorian couldn't help but laugh hearing her reply and led her on a merry chase for awhile before doubling back to where he had the picnic set up. He hopped off his broom grinning widely up at her. "Well, I hope this makes up for the chase," He said, watching to see her reaction.

Clover was grateful for his aid, though she was still a bit amazed that a handful of people had thought they were already a couple. She knew that some people were the kind to see if they could date as many girls as they could, Slyitheren really didn't have one of the best reputations about it in really any regards, but she also knew Dorian could have easily fit in with the localness of Hufflepuff. She wondered what kind of Greatness the hat saw in Dorian that he himself sometimes didn't see. He was dedicated to his studies more then she was that was for sure, which was a Ravenclaw quality. She had heard that he could be quite cruel some times, though she never seen it so thought it was just a way to try to get her to stop spending time with him.
When he suddenly made a hairpin turn it jarred her a bit from her thoughts as she had been chasing him, but she hadn't quite anticipated that because her mind had wandered a little. "You need to keep your head in the game." she reminded herself as she turned to chase him a bit more then watched as he got off his broom. He got off next to a picnic she lowered her broom down next to him. "This is for us?" she asked before dismounting.

Dorian smiled at Clover's question. It seemed to him like she had gotten lost in her thoughts again.
"Yeah it's for us, I thought you might like to get away from all the gossips and prying eyes." He said moving to take her hand and help her sit down on the blanket. "It seems like we've only spent time together when we're studying. I thought it would be nice to do something fun together." He said sitting down and smiling at her. "I mean if we're going to be boyfriend and girlfriend we should do fun things."

Clover smiled a bit "That does sound nice," she admitted as she took her seat. "Yeah, something different, from us just doing homework or practicing," she agreed. "This is a nice way of doing that." she complemented feeling it was much more relaxed then she expected from Dorian, she blushed a little as it showed just how well he knew what she'd like. Though it made her wish she had looked in a mirror before meeting up with him even more at that moment, then when she realized she had paint on her chin.
She smiled a little at Dorian. "So did you set this up yourself? I guess you could have had the time to do that, but at our year it would be hard to keep others from coming to this spot." she admitted.

Dorian beamed back at Clover, glad that he had picked a date that was relaxing for her. She had so many things she stressed over, he knew that a date without expectations and just getting to be her natural self, had been a perfect idea.
"I had a little help," He said as he pulled out some of the food from the picnic basket. It was mostly simple fare. Some sandwiches, crisps, fruit, cookies, and lemonade. "My roommate Raph made the cookies for me, and I put up a spell on the basket and blanket so no one else could get into it." He explained.

Clover looked a bit stunned, "Isn't that spell higher then a fourth year should know?" she asked "Or is it a modified one?" She peered into the basket, "It looks really good,"
She glanced around, "Wait is that the tree?" She asked pointing over at the trees in the distance. It wasn't too close to tell but it did look familiar, and it did have a raiser thorn bush like the one that she had been drawing the nest that was inside of it during their first year. "The tree where you fell on me."

Dorian got a sheepish look on his face. "Sometimes my sister shows me spells that I'm not supposed to know yet. I guess I am something of a rebel." He admitted.
He glanced up at her question and looked in the direction she was pointing. "You would be correct, " he said with a chuckle. "Can you believe it has been nearly 3 years since then? Time really does fly by."

Clover chuckled a little at his words, "Well you did brake the standard Slyitheren mold after all. You wouldn't be much of a rebel if you didn't." She smiled "Did she teach you any wandless ones?"
"Yeah, well we're starting the fourth, and to think you also fell for me." she chuckled a little at the play on words.
She used her arms to support her as she leaned back. "I think next to Golden Hills, the school grounds is one my favorite places to be." she said closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. "Depending on where you are the smells are close to each other." It war really the first time she said that but she did have some spots for when she was feeling a little homesick she'd go.
