What is the Owls?

The Owl's is a group of 5 people who each wear a part of a mask that represents an animal. Such that it fits what their names are or titles that are known to the people of their city. Each city is about the size of 2 1/2 football fields + their stadiums so they are huge cities. There are smaller towns between the 5 large cities that fall under the nearest cities jurisdiction thus under that Owl's rule.

Each person has magic as most people don't have magic and those who do are either working for them or for the Resistance/Rebels.

Basic Info On World:
-Year is 2450

-An explosion of some kind or something destroyed the land, leaving behind a barren landscape with much destruction. The cause is unknown. Speculations include:
> The earth itself opening and exploding in places to cause destruction due to so much war.
> War causing so much damage the land finally just retaliated.
> Something else man made or from an outside source.

-The people began to get things rebuilt but were having trouble when it came to getting food to regrow with as damaged as the land was. Out of nowhere 5 men came to the main settlement place of the people and offered them aid, telling them they came to help. The people in that area did not see anything to lose so accepted their help.

Under the guide of these 5 men who each wore a piece of a unique mask on some part of their face, 5 cities were built and were the 5 largest cities in the world. Those who did not want to live in huge cities that seemed to be lit up like an orb at night, branched out and were given help to build smaller cities and towns that dotted the recovering landscape.

They can grow things and supply for themselves but must still accept help from the larger cities. The sky on most days is cloudy or almost a dull depressing gray. At other times it can be blue and shows the dead brown/sand texture of the land where some greenery had began to grow again.

These smaller cities and towns depending on their distance from a large city would determine which Owl ruled over. They had their own leaders though that were either put in place by an Owl or elected to be that town/cities leader. But some could dispute the honesty of any elections that did happen for a person to get in as their leader or supervisor as a few called them since the town/cities leaders reported to The Owl of their district every month so the higher power knew what was happening and to get supplies for that month for their town/city.

There are normal animals that exist and roam as well as there are odd beasts mostly on four legs that roam around the deader area's of the land. In these area's there are also towns/cities that were able to get established outside The Owl's 5 cities so are free from their eyes but do know that sooner or later it could collapse on them if the Owl nearest were to make a motion to expand the range of their district.

Some area's farther out have recovered and some of those free towns/cities rely on the recovered soil for food. These cities/towns however also have a known reputation for not having the most honest or nicest of people. Stealing from others is a common thing as is the chance of getting killed. There are rules but for the most part it appears, on the surface, as each for themselves.

The 5 cities are called:
> Delta
> Omega
> Sistan
> Dangu
> Rydol

Technology is modern to advanced. The military in the 5 cities does as they wish, since The Owl's don't much tell them they cannot do something as long as it's not in the public. So long as they can get someone arrested and make it look very justified out in the public eye, that person is at the mercy of the soldiers once they enter behind closed doors of that Owl's palace like fortress walls of metal and stone.

Magic is mainly used by The Owl's and some guess it was The Owl's (after a number of years of blissful rule and prosperity) had caused the devastation in the first place but are unable to prove it. There are those who support The Owl's and will turn in those who speak ill or against the ones who helped save them all so they wouldn't all die from starvation or worse.

A few groups mainly held underground or anywhere they can hide, are groups of rebels or resistance to try and figure out how they could dismantle The Owl's yet not lose the order and peace there was. They didn't want to destroy the flourishing economic system or the way currency was used and that but at the same time they wanted free from what they could see as a system where you either behaved and stayed in line with The Owl's rules or you died in some fashion behind closed doors.

There were rumors among these against The Owl's that people were tested on and by these tests of torture gained the ability to use at least one type of magic. A few leading the resistance showed examples to use magic in limited ways as one had the ability to teleport himself and one other short distances repeatedly. Those able to use magic in this way did get exhausted and would pass out since it used up their stamina and if done too much to be pushed too far past their limits had caused those in the past to go insane, resulting in their ultimate death to protect those around them.

So mostly all except a very select few can use magic. There are those able to create items with limited enchantments on them like what a priest or priestess would use but those were limited and didn't last long when used. The person also had to have enough spiritual energy to even activate the paper unless it was a paper set up to work as an alarm system then it would burn up and let the person who placed it know they had to run.

What's This World Called:
-This world is called Aphelia

This area of the world is separate from other area's I've ever mentioned in any of my stories. This area is a section separate from the main land and the floating islands. This area of the world is also, for now, only mainly existent for this RP.

- Small Info: Was given the nickname based on his hair color. He does good putting up with Fire, Leaf, and Tool. He had been captured or "arrested" by Dragon's soldiers and brought in. He was in a sense tortured because of tests and other things done to him for their enjoyment. They also would do things to bring enjoyment to Dragon himself.

He has one arm that still has damage which is it is hard for him to move and use it. When he tries it hurts and doesn't want to move easily or respond all the time so it's almost like a bum arm. After he had escaped Dragon's prison and escaped the soldiers, he was out bleeding when a doctor came across him. This doctor took Silver in and got him cleaned up and treated his injuries. This man was named Skylar Creed. He saw after Silver began moving around that he was having difficulties with his one arm that was badly scared and burned.

He injected the bum arm with something Silver didn't know what it was. This injection caused black and red tattoo looking marks to appear on his skin, trailing from his shoulder down to his wrist onto the top of his hand. After they had appeared he was able to move and use his arm and hand as normal. Skylar told and showed Silver where he lived and so Silver teleports in when he needs treatment for his arm. He doesn't want to let his small group know about his bum arm, not wanting them to worry. He's still a bit unsure about Skylar but is glad for the help so he can have two working arms instead of just one.

- Hair:

- Race: Human

- Magic: None

Intro Start:

In the quiet city of Delta that was quite large, about the size of two and a half football fields with the stadiums included, the residing people were doing one of the following: sleeping peacefully, working, or were out partaking in their own personal pleasures.

This quiet atmosphere didn’t last too long before three loud explosions rang out, causing some panic from any bystanders. From a huge cloud of spreading smoke that poured out of one of the three multi-room buildings rushed out a slim form draped in a dark red, almost black, fabric with its hood drawn. This figure sprinted with light and quick steps in brown combat boots which stopped at the knees, with pant legs tucked inside. On the front of the boots was an orange colored metal plate for protection, on either side at the top was decorated with a small wing made from gears, and the toe of each boot was covered by a strong silver metal cap.

Covering her legs was a jean like material mixed with some leather in places which added to its flexibility as she ran. Its color was a neutral tan and black mix pattern as further up she wore a gray under buster vest, its strap laced around behind her neck comfortably. Under this was a snugly fit tan colored, short sleeved shirt with a V neck which stopped at her collarbone. A final touch seeable under her hooded cloak was a dark colored jacket that came down to hang around her waist.

She kept up her fast pace, turning her head to look back with hazel eyes that looked almost orange with their tint. “What? That all you got?!” she shouted loudly behind her at an empty scene, taunting her pursuers. The empty sight didn’t last long as at least four military jeep-like vehicles came into view and gaining ground to catch up. “Oh crap!” she exclaimed as gunfire erupted on her, forcing her to weave in a zigzag motion as well as to jump, duck, and use buildings for leverage in her attempt to not look like Swiss cheese.

Blue eyes scanned the darkness, keeping watch for nothing in particular - as far as he had come to believe, they were safe from the humans of outside world. The animals, not so much...

He wore a blade on the left of his belt and a gun on his right, Cyrus had always insisted he went out with some form of protection as not all the creatures that wandered the landscape were so wary of him. His clothing was dark to match the terrain, his jacket hooded, but lightweight - enough to stave off the unpredictable weather. His boots were worn, but adequately reinforced to protect him against the harsh landscape.

It was only as the guard fires far in the distance started to flicker into life that he dropped down from the tree in which he'd been sitting and turned back for the house. His ability to see in the dark was a benefit, but there were times when even he couldn't see his own hands infront of his face, so the lighting of the guard fires - although just pinpricks on the horizon - were a good sign that it was time to head home.

With Knoll's Crest being the highest hill in the territory, he often used the tree that overlooked the arid valley below as a viewpoint, sitting up there when his chores were done to watch the world go by - and keep an eye out for predators. It was perfectly safe, the cities were so far away that nobody would be able to see a young male, dressed in dark attire hidden within the bony boughs of a petrified tree...

The shack was only a few hundred yards away from the viewpoint, hidden safely behind the thorny briar patches that guarded the perimeter. Cyrus had happened across the location many years beforehand and after a lot of work, had managed to turn it into a somewhat useful plot of land - they could grow just enough to keep them fed when the weather turned harsh, but even with their meagre rations - and the game they hunted - the older man would still have to run the trade routes to keep them alive.

Entering the residence, the youth dropped his backpack down by the doorway and grabbed himself a morsel from the cold storage before heading across the house to the back room. His ears picked up the familiar wheezings of an old radio - occasionally crackling with static - and he crouched down beside the hatch to the basement.

"You alive down there?"

"Dang it..." A growl made the youth smile and he descended the steps into a room lit by an old, orange light. "I'm guessing with you back, it's dark out?"

"Yep." leaning against the table, the male's hand stretched out curiously towards a small pile of mechanical parts,

"Don't touch." Cyrus was rather protective of his projects and kept everything in its place.

There was a moment of silence as the youth's hand retracted, his eyes briefly scanned the room, then he looked away.

"Tala?"

"Huh?" glancing back at his elder, the male recognised the tone in his voice and held back a sigh,

"I'm gonna need to run the trade route,"

"You want me to watch the land, right?"

"Mmm-hmm..." It was clear Cyrus was closely focussed upon his project, but he knew the youth would do as he was told.

"You'll take me next time, right?"

"Get some sleep."

The woman running was in her mid-twenties and part of a small rebel group. She ducked and dashed down a side street to try losing them while feeling a hot bullet from the soldiers guns slide across her cheek. As was expected those in the military had the best technology and thus the best weapons with gear.

Rebels or anyone else had to do with what they could get, be that finding parts and things in old junk or ordering them through a store, that was tossed out, or given to them by any willing to risk their neck to help in the shadows.

The vehicles drove by and spread out aiming to surround and catch her off guard. What they didn’t know was the sounds echoed in the side street for her to track them as she ran. Cursing quietly she was starting to get tired but couldn’t stop. “Come on legs, we gotta just lose these morons and we’ll be good.” She told herself in a small pep talk. There had to be an easier way to get decent supplies.

The sound of the engines roaring grew louder, causing her hands under her cloak that flared open from time to time, to grab hold of a messenger bag slung over her side. Around her waist was a leather belt that held on it a holster housing a modified pistol, as on her other side and behind her back was sheathed two modified daggers.

“One…two…” she began counting quietly as she saw the light ahead of her, signaling the end of the side street and the rejoining to one of many main streets. Nearing closer she saw a couple vehicles pull wildly into view. They stopped and gunfire opened on her. Taking a few bullets she tried to dodge by zigzagging once more but now ran to a wall and up it then pushed off only to repeat this on the opposing wall.

She built her speed while trying to be a harder target. When close enough and on one wall she kicked the ankles of her boots, triggering a hidden switch which gave a strong force with flames from the soles of her boots, giving temporary flight. She was able to land hard on the front of the first transport and kept moving, jumping with a front flip over the cab, landing low in the back where she jerked up and stepped back to dodge a blade that was swung at her.

Each vehicle carried up to six people and was normally two or three in the front, and the rest in the back to use their handheld or mounted firearms. One such weapon that was mounted was a powerful gun resembling a Gatling gun, but was a bit more on the dangerous side due to its modified bullets.

“Hey! That thing’s sharp you know. You could hurt someone.” The young woman stated, using her boots again as she jumped out of the way and twisted her body right before using a short blast to get behind him before stumbling. A cold piece of metal pressed against her back ending her stumbling and brought a weary smile to her face. “Oh wow, thanks for helping me out.” She said with a nervous laugh, this ended when she heard the click of the hammer being pulled.

“Don’t try and play this off as nothing, Rebel. Give back what you stole and maybe his Lordship will allow you to be spared. I hear Lord Dragon can be so nice.” The soldier behind her said with a low chuckle vibrating out of his throat, an almost sarcastic tone toning his words.

“Give what back? I’m just your average citizen so no need to think I stole anything.” She tried to smooth over sweetly, wincing when he pushed the weapon into her back hard and a third to her side had their gun cocked, and ready aimed at her head.

“Oh just take it from her!” shouted one of their commanders from the front of the vehicle at his three in the back. The one to her side she saw near closer and start reaching to get his hand inside her cloak to search her for the stolen items.

Carefully she shifted one hand behind her to quietly unlatch the blade from the sheath. “Don’t you know it’s impolite to touch a lady without permission? You are such a naughty boy. What would your mother say?” she scolded with a pout to her voice mixed with an offended tone.

As he started reaching further in and around her cloak his movements froze, and he seemed to start shaking. She grinned slowly as he was being electrocuted. “Oh dear me, are you alright? You don’t look so good.” She faked her concern as blood started to drip from under her cloak from his hand.

Tala wasn't overly bothered about Cyrus leaving him behind, okay, he was on his own, but he wasn't really by himself... Turning, he made his way back up the stairs and through the lounge to a cupboard in the corner. To those at first glance, it was just another place of storage, but in reality, a secret wall hid another set of stairs that would lead to the upper level.

Making his way across to his bed, Tala lay back, his fingers looping around a cord which when pulled, would open a screen and allow him to see the night sky above. His eyes scanned the vast blackness for the moon, but tonight his view would be graced with just the stars... Lying on his side he pulled the sheets up, curling up in search of warmth before closing his eyes. It would be some time before Cyrus made his own way to bed, but rather than climb the stairs to the upper room, he often - as he did tonight - chose to crash out on the couch.

As night became day, the first rays of sunlight spread across the youth's sleeping form, but it wasn't the light that awoke him. Yawning, he stretched and pulled on his boots before pushing open the window above and clambering out. Using a set of ropes as guidance, he crossed the rooftop and lowered himself down, dropping to the ground just as his elder was closing the front door.

Cyrus gave a grunt as he turned to find Tala standing before him. He frowned, but then ruffled the youth's hair before stepping past. "You know the rules, Kid." he smirked, shouldering his pack, "Shroud the perimeter and don't step too far outside the boundaries, keep lighting to a minimum and try not to attract any unwanted attention...The last thing we need is someone from one of the cities snooping around."

"I Got'ya," Tala had averted his gaze at the man's words, but turned to watch as Cyrus reached the briar patch surrounding what would have been a small garden in better times...

"I'll be back in a couple of days. Try to stay out of trouble."

"I can't promise anything..." Tala rolled his eyes, but he wasn't likely to disobey the man. He stood there long enough to see him from the clearing, but once Cyrus was gone, the youth turned towards the house and darted inside the door to gather his things.

Once his backpack was filled with necessities and rations for the day, Tala locked up the house and made his way outside, checking he had his weapons secured before taking out a spelltag that Cyrus had set aside. Activating the spell, he watched as the shack dissolved behind a shroud that gave it the appearance of a large briar patch - Not a lot of people liked brambles and thorny bushes, so this was as good enough cover as any. Once the spell was complete, Tala shouldered his backpack and headed down a well-trodden trail towards the hunting grounds.

Feeling a change in pressure to her back she quickly shoved the man’s arm out from under her cloak, pulling her dagger out of his hand and took possession of his gun by whipping it out of his hand. She swung around with the gun at the male’s head behind her. He ducked and pressed his pistol against her stomach and pulled the trigger.

Just as he did, she hit one heel of her boot against the others switch and angled the flame so her first rotation was quickly reversed causing her to spin on the ball of her resting foot so the fired bullet had mostly missed but it hit her side a bit. With this new spin she hit her boot against her leg to end the flame and brought her foot around slamming the steel cap against his skull, bringing out a sick crack into the air.

As the second soldier fell with blood flying out of his cracked head, the first man yelled for the driver to spin out as he drew his gun, cocked it, and unloaded four bullets into the air at the rebel woman. Hearing this she looked over her shoulder and ducked, falling to the side when the engine roared and the back of the truck jerked violently. “Crap!” she muttered losing hold of her dagger when she fell with a grunt, seeing it slide to the thick right wall.

She heard four more shots fired. Rolling towards the back then scrambling to get steady footing, she ignored the burning that struck one of her legs as she drew and took aim at the first one that now was on the ground thanks to the drivers rough handling. She fired, striking him at least twice before going for her blade.

Another violent turn sent her back onto her butt making her yelp. “I think they need to retrain their drivers. This is no way at all to treat a lady. I didn’t even kill any of them yet. Geez,” she rolled her eyes after complaining under her breath as her hood fell off, displaying her dark blond hair with a pale red tint and icy blue tips that fell a couple inches past her shoulders. The machine was picking up speed and she could see the others were staying nearby, and taking aim.

She figured it was best she left so shakily she got her footing with blade in hand. She looked at the second vehicle that a soldier was aiming their Gatling gun at her. “Sorry boys but, though I’m having a real blast, I really should be taking my leave so ta-ta.” Her cute voice did not impress the soldiers as the one opened fire, no regard or thought he could blow up the remaining two men of the first vehicle.

As the bullets were fired she stepped back twice, lowered herself into a crouching position and quickly leaped back. She landed on the edge of the beds boarder and jumped back with a flip, to land on the roof of the cab of the third vehicle. She sighed as the first exploded.

Yells drew her to look back and swiftly she stood, and twisted on the ball of one foot while switching to the other to dodge the stab of a blade. Strains of her hair flew about her face, blocking her vision for split seconds while her body tried not to fall off the fast moving machine. “Just kill her like we did that blasted Lysin!” The one remaining commander roared in rage from a fourth transport.

Hearing this brought her eyes to narrow and sharpen with anger before discharging the rest of the gun into the blade user. She put it away then drew her second dagger with some slight hesitation, taking some hits from the enemy's guns but did her best to pay them no mind. She could just get treated later and recover back at the base.

Charging forwards right into the pistol fire of one soldier she swung the blade slicing open his throat, and used the blast from one boot to push herself quickly at the other that now swung his bladed weapon at her. She stabbed her blade into his chest, pressing the trigger to start electrocuting him a third one from the cabin crawled out into the back.

Pushing and twisting her body around to curl up with her feet on his collapsing form, she kicked off while activating her boots which added burn marks to his skin as she quickly took out the third on the Gatling gun.

“Sir! We need reinforcements!” One soldier shouted in fear from the second transporter, trying to get a steady aim on her as she jumped to make her way onto the hood of the second vehicle, not slowing down her slaying them with her two daggers. She heard the third transporter explode as the Gatling bullets hit it.

“No we don’t! Just shoot her you idiots!” the commander in the fourth vehicle shouted with his face going red from his anger and frustration towards his troops. They were getting on his nerves as he saw three more soldiers fall in the second transport, their total down now was thirteen.

Taking in thought this order, she stood on the roof of the second transporter, sticking her tongue out mockingly at the soldiers in the fourth vehicle. When they opened fire she lowered down into a crouching position only to leap off at the last moment to the fourth vehicles hood. She listened to the seconds tires squeal before it exploded in a crash. She had switched quickly from blade to gun, after reloading, as she left the hood to come onto the roof, releasing a bullet into the Gatling user’s head.

They were down now by sixteen people and the commander was not happy, narrowing his eyes and drew his riffle as he got into the back. She went and shot down the other two, bringing the deaths to eighteen.

Taking aim at her body that now stood on back edge of the vehicle he released his fire. The driver called in for reinforcements as he listened to the gunshots. These bullets striking her left arm did not bring any joy to her narrowed eyes, as her body twisted around with the force of the blast.

A fifth transport drove up wildly and close, allowing a soldier to board the fourth vehicle. She had fallen into the bed with the twist to use up the momentum of the bullet and was about to charge the Commander when she felt a sharp pain in her side. Her right arm swung back and rewarded him with her blade that sliced into his arm until it hit bone.

She turned fully and pulled the trigger to electrocute the man before kicking him over the edge of the transport, watching his body bounce and twist painfully on the hard ground. Even glimpsing it being ran over by the fifth transport that was backing off as she turned her sights on the Commander.

The trail led down the side of an embankment, coiling around bracken and dead trees before opening out into a plain which spread as far as the sea. Tala smiled and he paused to take in the scene - it was clear Mother Nature was trying her hardest to claw back her hold on the blackened and barren landscape as small patches of light browns and even yellowed greens could be seen dotted in tiny pockets of colour across the expanse...

Tala loved being outside - and without the restraints from his 'normal life' holding him back, he could allow his senses to come alive. Drawing a deep breath he made his way up to the overlook before stuffing his backpack into a hole and advancing towards the edge. The wind was strong, but he stood his ground, peering down at the land below, before lifting his hands to the sides of his mouth and letting out a long howl.

Ears twitched in the thickets and heads lifted at the sound, heart-rates quickened and as the smaller creatures made a break for cover, the breeze started to rustle the leaves as something started to stir...

He would return for his backpack later, but for now, there was hunting to be done. Drawing upon his Dark magic Tala spread his arms in welcome as the shadows came forth and enveloped him from head to toe. He became a writhing mass of blackness and it looked almost painful as he appeared to double over, but eventually, the shadows pooled around his feet and melted into the ground, revealing the youth in a new form.

Hearing howls rising all around him now, Tala's ears swivelled to take in the positions of their calls, the pack had heard his summons and were rushing towards the hunting grounds, eager to fill their bellies with game.
Lunging from the overlook, Tala's mighty paws carried him down the dusty hillside before thundering across the parched landscape towards a small pocket of green.

He met the pack en route, in his form he stood two hands taller than the largest, his fur as black as the shadow that gave birth to his appearance. They greeted him with yips and yowls, then set their focus to towards the hunt. The scouts had already located a herd of 'The Antlered Ones' or 'Tao' and were eager to lead the way.

The world seemed to fall silent around them as they located the herd, spreading out the pack took their places around the copse, watching, listening as the Tao grazed peacefully in their solitude... Everything seemed so calm, so pleasantly beautiful, at that moment, nobody would have recalled the history of the land, how charred and barren it was outside this little pocket of wonder...

At the sound of a twig snapping, a stray footfall, all heads in the herd lifted, ears twisted frantically in search of the source before hooves began to thunder. The Antlered Ones started to run and the pack exploded from their hiding places in pursuit.

The yearlings lead the charge, flanking the herd and scattering the weaker Tao into the path of the elders who worried them further. Tala kept pace with the herd, pushing ahead and taking the place of those that led the first assault. Now, his ears flattened, his eyes narrowed and he put on a burst of speed. He'd seen his target and with the pack at his back, it was his turn to play his part.

A stumble and a young doe went down, the pack were upon it in seconds, but Tala ignored their excited cries and pressed onward. His eyes on the prize. He flanked it now, a magnificent beast with a mighty rack of bone upon its head. It started to spring, prancing to show it's health, but Tala could see past it's act... A graze? No, a deep wound. Someone had shot at this fine creature and sickness had set in... It could be a matter of weeks, but it would soon fall...

With a growl, Tala lunged, crashing into the flank of the beast and sending it staggering sideways. Behind a plume of dust, its mighty form rolled, legs flailing outwards as the herd that had continued to run alongside, now arced away from the scene, slowing with the distance before turning to watch as their King was felled by the not-wolf.

Tala wasted little time in dispatching the beast - he hated to see an animal suffer and once the deed was done, he returned to his human form, taking a moment to catch his breath and thank the Tao for its life-giving gift before drawing his blade. The shadows that had given him his form now bubbled and writhed as they crawled about the scene, their touch upon the cadaver made it hiss and sizzle, Tala waved them away before cleaning the carcass and wrapping what he planned to take back, in the pelt. The Antlers, he hung around his shoulders before backing away.

With the way forward clear, the shadows lunged towards the remains of the Tao, squabbling over the carcass as the youth gathered up his takings and turned to leave.

It wasn't yet midday, but the sun was already high in the sky and heating the land below. Reclaiming his backpack, Tala stashed his cache inside and headed back towards home. He could still hear the wolves down on the plains and was in no doubt that they had eaten their fill and were now taking their rest in the shade.

There was little to be done when he made it home, the spell was still active and it would remain that way until Cyrus returned. Stepping past the illusion, Tala located the door and headed inside. The meat would need to be tended and stored, he did this first, then he collected a stash of wood for the fire that evening before stretching out on the couch for a rest.

She started to take aim at him before wincing when a bullet hit the back of her shoulder. She looked to the fifth transport that had neared again some with the two remaining in the back firing on her. She glared and turned, jumping onto the back ledge of the fourth transport. She kicked her boots as she jumped off, making up the distance to land on the hood and dashed to the back onto the roof and sliced open both their throats.

She yelped almost falling off after deactivating her boots when the driver of the fifth transport tried to throw her off by swerving. The commander in the fourth moved and took up the Gatling gun. He took aim at her and unleashed the bullets.

She looked back hearing this and made it to her feet but was shaking with her vision blurring. It was becoming harder to focus with the bullets she had taken and blood she'd lost but she was not about to let the man survive that had dared speak the name of her former leader.

She took hits to her shoulders and around her collarbone causing a burning feeling to surge through her but she forced herself to move. She made a short run and pushed off to return to the fourth transport, listening to the fifth get taken out by the bullets striking its tires and motor.

She took more hits forcing her arms to move to raise one of her daggers as she landed, racing at the commander. “You don’t have the right to speak his name!” she screamed, stabbing the dagger into his chest. She twisted it hard as she pulled the trigger on the handle, electrocuting him while at the same time pulling it down to slice through his chest. She felt the transport pick up speed.

More projectiles from a nearing sixth transport struck her back. It was now time to go. After she had taken in enough pleasure of torturing the dying man, she yanked her weapon out of his body.

As the transport turned a sharp corner quickly she grabbed the Gatling gun, holding on as the corpse fell and rolled to slam into the side wall. When things leveled out she side stepped with a stumble before turning around to look at the sixth vehicle and waved before her body fell limply over the back of the fourth transport. She made sure the sixth was on the side of the fourth before doing this to avoid being ran over.

She slammed hard into the stone and blacktopped street where she bounced before moving into a roll. The roaring engines were leaving, this pleased her greatly. The first three were scrap as was the first reinforcement. The remaining two continued on their way deciding it best to regroup, or perhaps they assumed she would die from her injuries. Either way, she was glad they were gone and not coming back.

Lying motionless in the street she listened to the crackling fires from the exploded vehicles in the distance behind her. Carefully she started to get to her feet, groaning and hissing in pain as she did. That could have gone smoother.

The young woman stumbled with her head down, catching her breath. She shook her head to try clearing her vision as she began to walk then slowly run off into another side street.

After a few blocks she looked up a few steps ahead, seeing a manhole cover and slowed her pace as she approached. Kicking the metal over she sat, grabbing the heavy steel and pulled it over to fall back into place while her body fell into the darkness.

She would collapse and land in a poorly landed kneeling position underground and was in turn mainly moving on adrenaline. Her body wanted to collapse and shut down but she was refusing to allow this. Wincing she hissed and coughed. The smell was bad but she got to her feet and began to walk down the tunnel, her hand touching the cool, damp wall as she went, following the dim lights that gave sight to workers or anyone to enter them.
