Yuuno had woken up from a good night's rest. The sun had risen in the east, causing a gentle light to welcome him first thing in the morning. Yuuno always looked forward to this. He loved waking up with a smile on his face. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom across from his bed. He started up the water of the shower head. It was nice and warm, since he was the first one to be awake. He took his respective shower, brushed his teeth, combed through his hair and then set it up into a long ponytail. He put on a gray yukata and strode out of his room quietly, so as not to disturb any possible guests that were present. Kiyomi wouldn't be around for quite a bit of time, so that gave him some time to get her money ready. A quick look at Yuuno's calendar gave him all of the information he needed. There was a festival taking place today, meaning no guests would be coming in. Oh great... He quickly departed from the Inn to see if there was a way he could help in preparing for the event. (EXIT)

(ENTER!!!) Yuuno was almost finished his part in terms of work for the day. Unfortunately, nobody seemed to come in that day. Business was a bit slow this time around. He left the place to check the mail. Maybe there were bills that needed to be paid? He couldn't be helped with remembering everything that went on in the place. He may need to hire more staff soon. The innkeeper walked to the kitchen and started cooking. The sun was setting, as evening had swiftly approached them. Odds were that he'd need to set up a meal for anybody that was traveling a great distance and just needed some munchies. He figured a nice stew would do some good. He started chopping ingredients when he heard the chimes of the door. Yuuno smiled. He knew someone would be coming in. After all, she wasn't able to come in yesterday. A small old woman entered the building, which put him in a bit of a shock. He was certain that it'd be Kiyomi. Where was she? "Don't say a word.." the old lady said. Yuuno started laughing. Yup, that was Kiyomi. He was confused to say the least, but at least he knew she'd come to get the money she'd need to live in that small house all by herself. "I'm just worried about you, sweetie.... So," he leaned over a bit, handing her an envelope full of money. "How are your little spells doing?" he asked with a chiding smile.

"You shut your mouth, Yuuno-san!" the elderly woman croaked. This elderly woman was, in fact, the witch. She folded her arms after slipping the envelope between her two very long sleeves. She really had nothing else to work with in terms of apparel. She heard him burst out laughing and her face was red. She puffed her cheeks and turned away. "I'll work on a cure for this when I get back, so stop worrying about me! Sheesh!"She felt a warm, large hand pet his head as though she were still a child. She blushed a bit from it. At least she was able to be herself around him and have someone understand her problems. After all, Yuuno and her father, while she didn't exactly remember him, were very good friends. She always thought of Yuuno as an uncle. "You just be safe walking home. Don't go around telling people that you transformed into an old woman or anything, okay?"Kiyomi shrugged it off. Like she'd do something so stupid. She let the bell chime once more as she departed. (EXIT)

Saeki Name: Nigel HanaoAge: TenRole: VillagerHeart Journal: Click Here In the quiet evening at the island, a ship sailed in from the land across the ocean from it. The ship often brought goods back and forth, but this time when it made landfall and extended the plank to disembark, two people walked onto the dock. They were an older man and a young boy. The young boy frowned a bit. The man saw it and smiled a bit. "Homesick already Nigel?" he asked the boy and Nigel looked up and shrugged. "I don't know...I like the idea of all the adventures I'll have here, but..." he said and sighed. The man tried his best to reassure the boy and he walked him into town.
He had one hand on the boy's shoulder and held his suitcase in the other. He was a friend of the family and since Nigel's parents were unable to travel this way, he had offered to bring him to his uncle. As they walked into town, Nigel looked around him as they passed the roads and several buildings. It was all very unknown to him, but so far he liked the weather. It was a cool evening, but for him, coming from the far North, it was warm.
The young boy looked up at the building when they reached the inn. It had been quite a while since he had last seen his uncle. But before they could knock on the door to announce their presence, the door already opened and an older woman walked out. Nigel blinked as he looked at her and offered a small smile. He always learned to be polite to his elders. As he watched, the man opened the door after greeting the lady and grabbed the boy's hand.
"Come on Nigel, it's getting rather late for traveling and I still have to go back." the man said gently and laughed a bit as he calmly led him inside. Once inside they looked around but it didn't take them long to notice Yuuno and the man smiled. "I do believe I have a package for you, Yuuno." he joked as he brought Nigel forward and ruffled the boy's hair. Nigel looked up to his uncle and smiled a bit. "Hello Uncle Yuuno." he said.

The door had remained open, the sun still continuing to set from what he could see. A shadow of a man emerged into the building. He looked pale, as though he didn't go outside often. A package for me? This late in the day?His heart warmed at the sight. His adorable nephew had entered his inn. He walked away from the counter and gave him a hug at the greeting. He too ruffled his basil green hair. "Hey, Nigel. How you doing, kiddo?"He nodded to the close friend to his brother in-law. "Thanks again for bringing him all the way here. Was he alright during the trip?" he asked politely. He then tightened his ponytail. "I hope he wasn't too much trouble..." he chuckled. "Nigel, you can bring your things up the stairs. Do you need help with any of your bags?"

It had been a while but not that long that he wouldn't remember him. "Good, I like how warm it is here." he admitted and grinned. Nigel had never liked the cold weather, if only cause it made him sick a little to often. This warm weather was a nice change. The man with Nigel laughed and shook his head. "On contrary, he was looking forward to going to the island so much all I had to deal with was the chime 'Are we there yet." he answered Yuuno.
"Though he does seem to feel a bit double about moving out so far. Right Nigel?" the guy added and looked at the boy. "I have never been this far from mom and dad before..." he started but then he smiled a bit. "But then I think about all the adventures I'll have here. Maybe I'll even find treasure, it's an island Pirates would hide their treasures on!" When his uncle told him he could bring his stuff upstairs, Nigel nodded. "I can carry it, I'm a big boy." he said and grinned. "I just need to know which room will be mine, though..." he added softly. He had no idea which room would be his, and there would no doubt be plenty up there, since it was the inn.

He started to laugh at the answer to his question. 'Are we there yet?' was undoubtedly the question every kid asked, no matter where they were going. He looked down to Nigel saying that he was a big boy. "You can bring them up to Room 02. That's right next to where I stay. I hope that's alright," he explained. The inn itself faced the south, so Yuuno's room would always get the first view of sunlight. He enjoyed waking up early to ensure that he could get right to work in order to help people smile. He enjoyed making continental breakfasts and fluffing pillows and the like. It meant the world to him to see a happy customer. He shook the man's hand. "Well thanks again for bringing him over... Would you like to stay a little longer? I was just about to finish making some stew,"

Kiyomi was back once again, but in her original state. She had luckily found the remedy for her...aging problem. She smiled softly and opened the doors once again, the chimes making a noise. She could smell the stew wafting out of the kitchen and into the foyer of the inn. "Mmm, it smells super good!" she cried out. She ran to the kitchen and started stirring the ladle to make sure the ingredients didn't burn. She was humming a little song that was in her head after she was cured. She did NOT want to go through an aging process that fast ever again. It made her sick to her stomach. It seemed that Yuuno was talking with someone, so he didn't go to bother her about the food like he usually would. Business first, Kiyo second. She had to remind herself of that. It's how a lot of people in the place happened to be, to be frank. Heck, they wouldn't even make Kiyomi a priority. She was just there. People seldom acknowledged her and rarely cared enough about her to say hello, or to even know her name. Kiyomi was okay with it though. It never bothered her in the least. She's gotten numb to it.

Saeki Name: Nigel HanaoAge: TenRole: VillagerHeart Journal: Click Here "That is great, I'm glad to have a room next to yours Uncle Yuuno." he said when his uncle spoke and smiled happily before he turned to the older man and gave him a respectful bow just like his parents taught him to with him and smiled, taking the suitcase from him as he clutched it to his chest with both arms. "Thanks for bringing me here!" the boy said and smiled before he ran to the stairs and walked up to the room he was explained would be his. The man laughed a bit and shook his head.
"Thanks for the offer Yuuno, but I wouldn't be able to make it to the last ship back home and I have to be there again by tomorrow morning. It was my pleasure though. It will be quiet without Nigel around but it's for the best." he spoke as he shook Yuuno's hand before he left to catch his ship. Upstairs Nigel walked through the hall looking at all the numbers. It didn't take him long to find the door and he smiled, stopping in front of the door. Looking at the suitcase in his arms and the door handle he sighed a bit before he tried a few ways to get the door to open for him with his hands full.
Finally he just reached up with difficulty and tried again which caused the door to open so suddenly he fell into the room with suitcase and all. Nigel groaned a bit as he sat up and rubbed his head, but he soon looked around the room he had entered. It was a cozy room with mild tinted walls. There was a desk with chair and a table. Not far from it was the soft bed. The boy smiled looking around. "Needs some colors but looks good." he said to no one in particular before he got up and picked up his suitcase.
He brought the suitcase to the bed and opened it revealing all his clothes and sighed looking at the closet before he reluctantly started to put everything in the closet. He wanted to go on an adventure or explore, but his parents had been clear. He had to listen to his uncle and he had to keep his room tidy like he had to at home. When he was had placed some items here and there from home, like a plush dragon on the desk and a plush wolf on the bed, he looked and nodded.
It was then that he smelt the food up in the room and right after his stomach rumbled and he blushed slightly. The boy felt hungry so he left the rest of his suitcase open and over the bed. He quickly got downstairs where he passed the kitchen first to get to the front door and kicked out his shoes he had forgotten and ran to the kitchen expecting his uncle in the kitchen, he was about to say something when he saw someone else was steering the pot, a girl. Nigel blinked a bit before he tilted his head. "Are you the cook?" he asked then. She looked like she knew what she was doing though and he walked closer to peek into the pot.

The little witch was surprised to have someone jump to a conclusion that didn't involve the alignment system. Some would call her lawful evil. She considered herself chaotic good. She heard the boy's question, then shook her head no. The girl was just barely taller than him. The gap between them was at most an inch. She hopped down from stirring the stew. "Nope, I'm just here for dinner. Yuuno isn't cooking right now, so I figured I'd do what I do best and stir things..." she explained. She looked the boy over. He was a bit pale. She didn't recognize him from most of the people she'd pull pranks on. He had that curious look in his eyes that she could easily distinguish: it was the same one as hers. "You don't seem like a local. My name's Kiyomi. Nice to meet you!" she said with a smile. She extended a hand to him.

"So you are not the Master Cook but the Master Stirrer." he joked and turned away from the stew to look at her. He didn't remember ever hearing his uncle about another child. When she introduced herself and extended her hand, Nigel looked for a moment before he smiled and shook her hand. "I'm not" he admitted.
"My name is Nigel, and I've come to live with Uncle Yuuno." he then introduced himself. "Nice to meet you too" The boy had been taught enough by his parents about being nice and showing some manners. Though they had given up in turning him into a gentleman. He turned back to the pot and looked at it from where he stood. "That is a lot of stew." he said as he looked back and smiled to her. Though he couldn't recall seeing many people at the inn for such a big pot.

Yuuno smiles softly and waves the man off. "Have a safe trip back... Take care!" he smiles and waves. He closes the door behind him and hears two childish voices mumbling in the distance. Where were those two? He hadn't even heard Kiyomi come back inside. Maybe she was hungry... It was the evening, after all. Dinner will be ready soon, so long as he would stir the stew a bit longer. He overheard their conversation and chuckled. "I see you two have already met? Kiyomi, dear, could you please stir the stew for a few minutes? I just need to get some bowls, then call any of our guests down for some food... Though... I'm under the impression that we have few to no other people staying with us," he admitted. He scratched the back of his head and chuckled.

But then he looked back at his uncle and smiled. "I can help with the bowls Uncle Yuuno. I look forward to dinner, it smells good." he spoke happily and quickly walked to the cabinets and looked at them.
He wanted to make himself useful to Yuuno and opened a random cabinet, not sure which held the bowls that he wanted to place out. When he couldn't find them he sighed a bit and looked at the innkeeper. "Where did you hide the bowls?" he asked and laughed. While he waited for his uncle to answer him, he walked away from the lower cabinets and waited next to Kiyomi.

The caretaker nodded his head. "Yes... well, that is to say, there's another child on the island. I'm afraid she doesn't live here," he explained. However, it'd be too complicated to explain that she lived on her own to cast spells and that he was the one who would give her money to live there. It really put a smile on his face to know that his nephew would be willing to help him around the inn, as well. His heart was lifted and full of warmth and joy. The meal itself was an old family recipe passed down onto him from his own grandmother, whom was Nigel's great-grandmother. He held back laughter at Nigel interrogating where the bowls were "hidden". "See, I put them above the sink on the right side...They sit above the plates... On the left of the sink are cups. In the drawer to the right of the sink are the eating utensils. To the left are cooking utensils... You'll get used to the geography after a while," he says. Yuuno took some bowls out from the higher-up cabinet. "I can move them, if you'd like,"
