Opens: August 15th Closes: September 11th, 12pm EST
The previous headmaster of Asphodel Gardens Academy has retired, but not before appointing a new headmaster! His apprentice, Ava, has taken over his position and has begun to settle into her new office. The academy has decided to throw a giant celebration for their new headmaster! Each house is throwing a party for all to attend, full of games, familiars, trinkets, and more! The party is being held in the eating hall, where Nightmares of all ages are mingling and having a blast! Maybe your Nightmare will make a new friend during this celebrations? Or maybe they'll even take home a new familiar! You'll just have to join and find out!
How to play:
Roll a 20 sided dice once a day, accompanied with an RP post. You may RP in this thread, but only roll once a day! You may RP with as many Nightmares as you want! If your roll ends in a 5 then you can pick one familiar from the prizes below! If your roll ends in a 2, 4, 6, or 8 you can grab a trinket! At the end of the event, the three people with the most points will one one of the three Nightmares up for grabs!
Arcadia walked into the eating hall, the nice, the lights, the colours, it was all so inticing! She rung her fingers nervously, it seemed she was early, or perhaps the only one who was going to be here? That made her a little anxious, but she was hoping that wasn't the case!
Edit: She walked up to a table, a simple *Throw the Hoop over a bottle' Game, you get 3 hoops, well seeing as noone is here might as well give it a go! 1st Hoop, Argh, Too long! 2nd Hoop, YAY just got it on! 3rd hoop, Not even close!
The person behind the table handed her:
for being the first to have a go!
Arcadia gave them a big smile and continued to look around!
Vi glanced around the eating hall as she wandered in, unsure of why she was actually here. Clutching her tail close, she stepped off to one side and continued to watch as many other nightmares filtered in. It wasn't long before another nightmare caught her attention with some games nearby.
"What...?"
It didn't take her long to wander over to a table, drop her tail to the floor and pick up some of the balls. A couple tosses later and a slight smile crossed her face as she was handed a prize. She smiled at the little fish and idly wondered what to call her new friend...and what Finn would think.
Nibbling at the edge of a cookie she'd snagged from one of the tables, Zahneel's eyes were wide as she watched the celebration happening all around her. Goodness! She'd thought the garden party had been full of fun, but this party seemed fair on the way to knocking the other out of the park!
Smiling at the various folk she passed, the young grimm would reach out occasionally to gently tickle a passing familiar with her claw tips. Maybe she should have brought Tracker Jack or Cornelius with her, but no. They were safely snoozing up in her room. She'd just have to remember to smuggle them a couple of treats later.
Still smiling, she continued to wander, studying each attraction and table raptly.

Cassie tucked her wings close to her body as she moved through the hall, not wanting to knock into any unsuspecting Nightmares. It seems like everyone had come down to celebrate the new headmaster, or at least gather up some pretty trinkets. Moving around behind the tables, Cassie navigated the ambulatory before spotting a game that caught her eye - darts. The board was taped to the wall and the darts were plastic and dinky, but for some reason the idea of spearing something excited her.
She walked around to the front of the booth, grinning. "My try," Cassie informed, taking the tree multi-colored darks. Her ear feathers fluttered in concentration as she tossed the darts, eyes squeezing shut. She heard the dull thuds but didn't open her eyes.
Meris looked around and rubbed his hands across his arms. Even if he did have to deal with people on a regular basis being a singer he never did like going out of his way to interact with others outside of singing, but Yue apparently wanted someone to go with her and Morin had seemingly disappeared, the lucky jerk. So of course that left Meris getting dragged along. Still it would be fun to see some of the old band members, as Meris knew a couple of them where more social. Now however he had a different problem. Somewhere in between checking the room over for faces, and glaring over to the side he had somehow lost his fellow Geist companion. If he could find out where Yue had suddenly gotten to, that would be wonderful.
The party was already underway when Madla entered. It was an absolute crush, everyone seemed to be here and walking through was a pain. Still, nothing was going to keep her from getting her hands on some more plush kitties. She had a bit of an addiction to the things, and she knew there were new collectables at every new party. So, she had gone straight to one of the games, quickly winning herself another plush to add to her ever growing collection. Holding the purple cat in one hand, she scanned the crowd for a familiar face...and found one.
"Hey, Meris, facing seeing you at this shindig." She said in greeting, noticing he did not seem to be enjoying himself. "Which one dragged you out this time?" she asked, wondering if it was one of the other band members or just one of his friends.
Hearing his name he looked around and blinked. Well it wasn't Yue, she still seemed to be missing but it was some one that he knew. He spotted apparently her first spoils of the party and shook his head. What was it with the females that he knew and plushies. Ah well he did own a few himself, so it wasn't as if he could really talk.
He titled his head to the side and tried to recall if any of the bad had met Yue. Normally the two didnt hang out too much unless Morin asked them too that day, but they did occasionally group together when Morin was being silly about geists that day. "ah that would be Yue. I cant remember if you ever met..."
Jezebeth had wandered into the eating hall. Mostly out of pure curiosity. She hadn't exactly been to a party before, so it was something new to explore. She hadn't exactly been prepared for the crowds however. So she held her doll close to her as she wandered around, peering around others to get a loot at the various booths, all filled with different and interesting things. As she wandered, a both with floating plastic atherjellies in a little pool of water. As she approached the booth she was encouraged to pull one out of the water to see if she could win a prize.
She must have stood there debating on which one to pick up for at least a good five minutes. Other came and played, some winning and some loosing as she was seemingly lost in thought. After what seemed like ages, and much relief to the booth runner, she finally made a decision, plucking one out of the water to reveal a colorful dot on the bottom. "We have a winner~" The person announced, and exchanged her atherjelly for a glowing necklace.
She smiled happily and placed the necklace around her neck. Than she bounded away, a certain skip to her step now. This had really become fun~!
Laurel was incredibly excited when the celebration was announced, and even more so excited when it began. All of the games, all of the prizes! Where was he supposed to start? He looked left and right, his freshling eyes wide with awe, and finally settled on a Bottle Knocking game close by.
"I'd like to play, please!" He exclaimed, bouncing up to the counter.
Once he was handed his balls, Laurel started tossing as hard as he could. His first two throws were misses, but his final throw managed to knock the bottles over! He could pick a small prize, he could pick a small prize! He leaned over the counter to get a good look at what he could pick from and pointed at a shiny bottle on the bottom row.
"Thank you very much!" He cheered, before heading back to search for more games to play.

Honestly the idea of being crowded into the eating hall with probably the entire campus was not something Starlet particularly enjoyed the idea of, but he figured he could at least make a brief appearance. Perhaps just... play a game or two, get some snacks, then go back to his books. That'd suffice, yeah?
Upon entering the eating hall he stepped off to the side, briefly surveying the area... not too crowded yet, maybe he'd stick around a little longer than originally planned. The ring toss game caught his interest... he carefully made his way over to it. The first attempt was a spectacular failure. He wasn't even close. Second try was a little closer... third attempt secured the ring around the bottle, much to his satisfaction. Third time really is the charm.
From the selection of prizes he grabbed a bag of candies, how could he resist?
Turning from the game he looked around again to see what else there was to do...

Satisfied that she hadn't completely embarrassed herself at the last stall, Cassie tucked her new prize into her pocket. It would look cute on her shelf of random clutter, especially as it would be one of the only things that glowed. Moving through the crowds, the Senior's attention was drawn like a magnet to a small pair of fluffy wings.
Smiling some, Cassie's hand only briefly touched the Freshling's head as she leaned over, ghosting a few hairs. "There's a lot of people, be careful," the pink-haired Fallen offered Jezebeth kindly, the corners of her eyes crinkling. Even if Jezebeth hadn't presented herself in any immediate danger, she couldn't help but say something to the unfamiliar Fallen. Birds of a feather, right?
Standing up a bit taller, Cassie traced the previous prize she had won at the last booth. Everything seemed busy, bustling with Nightmares, so she passed on playing a game right now. "Which game looks good to you?" she asked, leaning back over, hands on her knees as she completely popped Jezebeth's personal space and probably set off some stranger danger alarms.
Bright eyes watched the milling people avidly, already noting where the food and games were located within the hall. Grinning cheerfully, Binhdi sauntered around, not taking part in any games, not yet. No, she wanted to wander a bit first and get the lay of the land. Once she located the things that interested her most, well. Then, and only then, would she go back and play.
